Lye is not a chemical in.old times ash potash was combined with oils to clean dishes read up it's the same reaction. Lye based soaps are as natural as they get and one can add anything including milk, cream, coconut milk, powders which makes them the perfect bar .

Apply it, one day before threading. Because its also an exfoliator which we're supposed to do before threading/hair removal anyway.
