Hey man - thanks so much for posting this video. As a small studio, we really appreciate you getting the word out! Are you OK if I post a discount code for the game here?
A discount code might be nice, lol...also is any sort of multiplayer planned, br it co op or pvp, also i notice it supports quest 2, so im curious if/when you plan on a quest 3 specific upgrade, i understand wanting to support quest 2, but i love it when a game pushes the quest 3 hardware to really get the most out of it...
@@StewieDoesntExist Here's 20% off if you decide to try it: TAKEFLIGHT-7D63B1 Multiplayer is planned, but it's going to take a few months to package up. We already have features to improve the graphics on the Q3. You can increase the quantity and draw distance of things like trees and buildings. You can also increase the eyebuffer resolution, max FPS, and MSAA kind of like in QGO.
@@nabskhuweis2016 We probably won't get all the way up to the Tomcat in this game - but there will be mor emissions coming! (BTW: I did a tiny bit of work on the F-14 way back when... awesome experience!)
Worked on this game a bit - happy to see it get released! I think it’s a good blend of immersion and accessibility. There’s bomb site option on most planes that’s very useful just FYI. (Also gyro site for leading with your guns)
@@GAMERTAGVR The T-33 didn't have a bombsight (in real life), but all other jets do. We will probably bite the bullet and add one in. Until then, just remember that your bomb keeps moving forward at almost the same speed as your aircraft. I'll make a post when we do an update for this.
@@GAMERTAGVRmost aircraft should have a sight toggle somewhere in the cockpit. I believe it’s on the bottom of the front panel in the F80. One of the options will be bomb. You’ll see a vertical line and a reticle if you nose down.
Thanks for making this video. This sim is fantastic. I'm obsessed with Cold War military aviation and there are so few sims these days that cover some of the early jet aircraft. Just the fact that this game has a T-33, F-84, F-9F Cougar/Panther, etc. makes it a must buy in and of itself. I hope more of these cold war classic jets will be added, especially those of the Century Series!
@@GAMERTAGVR I'm surprised you would even try this not having a specific interest in aircraft of the era. It really is a niche product, which is why I'm so grateful it is being developed. I'm glad you gave it a shot, because it probably would have been awhile before I learned about it through other sources.
Been asking for customizable controller support for this game for a while - I just love playing Warplanes 1 and 2 with my Thrustmaster flightstick plugged in the usb, it beats thumbsticks and touch controls by a mile and a half and makes it feel like a proper pc level flight game! Here's hoping the devs will listen! 🍻
The introductory instructions are very cool. This idea of telling the player to check that the flaps move is the kind of little thing that boosts immersion.
This is def making me happy Aces of Thunder is not coming to quest… i love my quest 3, but just really want some modern quality graphics. The n64 look just doesnt deliver nearly as much anymore most times after playing 95% vr exclusively since psvr1 release.… but for sure looks pretty solid for a quest game.
@@robarmstrong5404 ya i see all the awesome shit with pcvr with unreal injector and what not also, i could buy a beefy rig but i know there is all kinds of tweaking and effort involved on that end, and my crippling ADD im pretty sure would hinder my ability to utilize it all :-/

Yeah, the aircraft show up at later missions (especially not in the T-33). Some of the AI are VERY DIFFICULT, in fact. And I think there are 1-2 missions where you could dogfight 3 aircraft at once
Hey, ya I'm loving this game, almost have 100 stars, and have all levels of jets unlocked. I like that it has visual options, like you can lower amount of trees and buildings to increase sharpness and landscapes. Mixed with QGO, I can get it running very sharp and smooth. Multiplayer will be awsome. But ya I sucked with bombs also
We don't support controllerless play, but we are looking into it. Problem is, it "feels" much better to fly with the controllers in your hands. And certain critical controls really need to be at your fingertips - such as rudder, and weapon release. Still, we may pursue it.
I hope they change the gun sound and graphics. The whistle when the bomb drops is also very ridiculous. I don’t mind the flights him with arcade aspects, but that would just ruin it for me.
We will likely be updating these sound effects. The gun will be more of a BRRRT and we will do a "clunk" for the bomb release. (Although some of these jets still had relatively slow-firing cannons.) I wouldn't want to have 2 goofy sound effects ruin a whole game for you ;-) What is it re: the graphics that gives you pause? For gameplay sake it's kinda important to have them all be "tracers" or the more novice players might think something is wrong.
@@DawnOfJets I'm being honest here. The game is fantastic. And I don't have any issues with the graphics overall. But the explosions are just odd. The ground effect with the blast radius is super sweet but I wish the fire effects looked a little bit more Micheal Bay and a whole lot less 4 polygons that are orange. It's a minor thing but please keep at it it's awesome!!!!
So, I have no love for pc whatsoever BUT I really badly want to play all the big incredible pc vr games like half life Alyx etc Relistically, how much money would it cost me to be able to run games smooth at high quality??? Ball park figure? Could £1500 do so? Considering I only want the pc for Vr gaming and absolutely NOTHING else. I don’t want bare bones but I do want great quality performance. Graphics and framerate. I’d really appreciate an answer from someone that can help. I mean if £1500 will get me really good setup but £2000 would be much better, I’m happy to pay more but of course, I only want to game in vr so if I could build or pay someone to build a vr pc for £1500 or so that would be incredible And of course, maybe as I only want to do vr gaming with pc, maybe £1000 could do it because there will be some parts I won’t need to spend lots on? Or maybe I’d need to spend more on a gaming pc for pure vr rather then a gaming pc for flat gaming because vr is more demanding? Oh I’ve heard it’s cheaper to buy parts and build a pc but as I’m clueless, is it worth it to just buy a pc built already? I’m just worried I’ll find a pc for maybe £1000 £1500 etc but it and find out it isn’t good enough. But again I don’t want to build a million pound space station on a pc if £1000 would sort me for just vr gaming. Then I’d just buy the meta quest 3
I personally think for you to run games at a decent fps and high graphics you would need an i7, 32gb of ram and at least a 2080ti. I don’t personally know much about PCs but this is what I would aim for. I recently picked up a laptop with 3080ti and an i7 with 32gb of ram with 1 tb of storage for £800 so there’s good deals out there
