Correction about Pathbuilder: You *don't* need Premium to share via link or export. The paid version is just for optional rules, cloud saves, importing custom content and using pets.
I was about to mention it. Premium account basically allows you to use gamemaster y rules like free archetype or keep track on your minion/pet or add homebrew stuff (and i think something related to campaing managing, can be wrong on that one) However as you mentioned, sharing character copy is aviable for free users.
Regarding the subreddit: While we're happy to help, please at least try to use the search function first, as many questions have been answered before. If yours hasn't, you won't be the last person with that question, so ask away!
Thanks also for including Pathbuilder. It's such a Go To that we all assume that everyone else is using it. This is the first mechanical stage, to me, we enter into when getting started as a Player. I use it as well for fleshed out NPCs. To me, Pathbuilder and the Archives are so tightly wound with Pathfinder 2e I have NO WORRIES. Again, Thanks.
Downsides i have seen with pathbuilder; sometimes it allows you to choose spells you don't actually qualify for, Gods selection is only based on domain. (Still use a mix between demiplane and pathbuilder as they both have issues)
Pathbuilder allows you to grab spells from outside of tradition so GMs can houserule "yea you can have that" and it does not involve changing how something is coded. The deity thing is due to how Paizo licensing is about their setting info and paywalls. Gods selection has you input everything that mechanically matters
We were sent over by @TheRulesLawyer and are honored to enjoy this latest collab. Thank you for all you do that assists so many to enjoy the hobby. It helps me more than you know.
If you want free VTT suggestions, Roll20 is fine if you don't mind doing A LOT of manual configuration... Otherwise using a lightweight VTT such as Owlbear Rodeo and using character sheets hosted somewhere else may be best
My group has tried just about every VTT under the sun when it comes to PF2e... Roll20 is free, but terrible to use. As far as paying, by far the best is Foundry as it's officially supported by Paizo. Foundry even sometimes gets updates before Archives of Nethys. The issue is that for Foundry you either need to host a server yourself - which takes some tech knowhow - or pay monthly for Forge to host it, which isn't ideal if you're trying to save money.
I don't like that DPR calculator. It only allows off guard for accuracy improvement and consolidating damage into one big hit pulls WAY ahead the more you increase the chances to hit with buffs and debuffs along with the massive spike you get for aid. DPR calculated in a vacuum is worthless data I agree.
You can actually go into strikes and give accuracy and damage bonuses on a per strike basis. I also never said it was worthless, just that it isn't the end of a discussion
@@SwingRipper Umm...okay so where do you adjust the accuracy? I'm not seeing it. I see the place to add damage, but not accuracy beyond the off guard toggle.
I have to mention that the pf2e subreddit has some of the most do nothing, abusive, contradictory mods on the planet and I wouldn't exactly promote it as a good chunk of the community.
Hmm.. been a tabletop roleplayer for over 25 years. Ill share my 5: 1. Imagination 2. Great group of friends that want to play 3. Pen and paper (dices might be needed) 4. Know your charracter, learn the world, know backstory. Roleplay your charracter. 5. Know basics or Rolemaster ruleset (or some other ruleset) And… The hardest part: get GM and the players around the same table, find time.
You and Ronald are my favorite Pathfinder tools! 😉
Haha I see what you did there
This comment definitely had the [Backswing] trait.

Ty both, I have had premium for so long I forgot exactly which features were paywalled lol
They have GM mode in it now which i think is new which just lets you view and edit everyones sheets.

Or just keep it to the questions thread so you don't clog main sub
As a GM, my favorite part of Pathbuilder is the GM link. I have access to the player characters and companion NPCs (Kingmaker).
Ty I'm soon starting my first P2e campaign this is useful 🙏
I also was sent over by @TheRulesLawer. Thank you and keep up this great work Sir SwingRipper. And, I mean it. Keep it up! :)

I have not watched the video yet but I'm guessing tool #1 is the wrestler archetype.
Would have been a good bit but not this time lol

Thanks for this! So many good tools!
Note that there is more out there, this is just what I actually use!
Thanks a lot!!
Y'all recommend me some free tools to play online, please! It'd help if it had at least some PF2e support. VTTs are so expensive these days...

A comment for the algorithm!
8:10 I would like to see that video
No gonna to lie, I thought you were going to be talking about tools that characters can use. LOL.

Nope.
There was one guy who was overzealous and dealt with.
