Losing both parents within a year has been very tough but songs like these brings hope to my soul
Tonight this song had more meaning than even last time. It would be my dear 27 yr. old son’s birthday coming up on Feb. 23rd. He would have been 53... that blows my mind !! I miss him so !! The words “ you cannot linger here “ and “ He comforts me with thoughts of Home, and says we don’t have much farther to go “ mean so much ! I am counting on that ! Oh thank you Tanya Goodman Sykes for writing this and Cynthia Clawson and Michael and oh dear, forgot his name, sorry ! Sung so beautifully.. want to sing with all of you in heaven, including Tanya ! Praise the Lord ❤️
My sweet wife went to be with Jesus in January of 2020. We had no children just a sweet little female Pekingese of whom I had to put down August of that same year. I'll be turning 68 the end of this month and I know most of my life has already been lived. As I listened to this song and the words, the tears streamed down my face to think that I don't have much farther to go and I'll be with my wife again, and I'll see Jesus. Thank you so much for this song, it's been a blessing to me.

Cynthia Clawson something stirred in me today ! Thanks Tanya Goodman Sykes you both are such a blessing ! I have been hurting long for my dear 27 yr. old son who died with 3 others way back ! It seems like yesterday but longer than forever.. yet the words “ You must not linger here - and you don’t have much farther to go “ so deep !! Since my closest girlfriend ( of 4 who have died ) went to heaven suddenly a year ago, we were kindred spirits since age 4, I am just tired and this last grief is the second most traumatic of all ! I long for Home and I pray ( for God’s will though ) if it would be like mine, that it is not much farther to go, in our years here ! You ladies voices are amazing gifts from God to us, and thanks to the men here obviously the same !
