The Logitech G102 Prodigy still remains to be a popular mouse even with its issues.
However, there are replicas of the Logitech G102 that are coming out.
This video will show you how you can distinguish between a replica and an original.
PS: Not a review. Just want to help those who are still looking to buy this mouse and make sure you're not getting the replica.

just recently bought it, didn't see the box so i was kinda afraid if my g102 is a replica.

The replica of Logitech G102 is actually good. Its better than my Fantech mouse who are more expensive. With its price, its worth it.

@@AbDeRRaHiMX sometimes they put it in the description of the default DPI of the mouse
@@zukarin5935 they put the DPI of the genuine mouse which is different, if you want to know the dpi of any mouse, first bring another mouse that you know its dpi lets say 800, go into a game, choose a point (in a wall), and move the mouse from far left of the mousepad to the far right and see how much you moved inside the game, lets say it moved 360 degrees, now keep the sensitivity the same and try same thing with the other mouse, put your crosshair on same point before and move the mouse, see how much it moves inside the game, if it moves the same, it has 800 too, if it moves like 270 degrees, do the math, 270*800 / 360, and u get 600 dpi.

I bought the replica mouse as a immediate measure to replace another "bargain bin" mouse bundled with a keyboard. Lasted about three months before started acting up. I expected it to last that much as I am still seeking a new gaming mouse. P.S. Bought this thing Jan 2021 at a 100php so no hard feelings tbh.

Update: They're getting slightly better. The bottom matches the original, being triangular on the lower half instead of square, and is wrapped in foam with the logo, but the mouse still sounds the same, and still can't be recognized by GHub.
yeah, I bought one thinking it's possibly a replica (costs P260) to remedy the annoying double-click issue I'm experiencing with my current (legit) gaming mouse... and it's how you described it, physically now looks the same as the original on this video and even has the foam package

Definitely doesn't feel as good as a $40 mouse that I'm used to but I don't think it bothers me unless you heavily play competitive games.

I currently use a G300s, which I got for X-mas. It's good...after spending hours on adjusting to the grip. But for a future replacement, I'm going back to G102 or maybe for a G304 if my budget permits.

How much are the authentics ones? Coz i saw some selling for only 500 to 700 pesos....are those fakes?
i bought the bootleg one for about 200 pesos, lasted me about 5 months but 3 months in the paint on the mouse itself giving the texture came off and 4 months in, the buttons have issues when gaming. I would say it’s worth it for a backup mouse or a temporary mouse, although i mained for a while, i have now bought a random brand (T-Wolf G540) which is way better but more expensive, and now am getting a g203.
the packaging was better though, the foam was carried over although the stickers and leaflets weren’t

@@JeloAbucay can confirm, I have this mouse now and it butterfly clicks wonderfully, depends how you do it though, it is a bit small
the replica one doesn't give you an option to stay on your desired dpi. everytime you plug it, the dpi will be reverted back to default and you need to press the button again just to go to your desired dpi. hassle. :((
Is the replica worth buying if the real one is out of your budget?
Is this still a relevant mouse sensor, and weight-wise? wish you could have tested these. I'm eyeing the Viper Mini for a little more at php1600 (from shopee) and the original g102 at around php1000.

Thr only thing bad is that you cant change the light of youre mouse. Thats really it, the side buttons works, everything else works.

Got the replica from shopee. G102 white for my build. Before it was for design purposes coz it fits my white build. Been using it now for 9 months. 300 php for 9 months is a good deal for me. Planning to get another. Though i have g304 😁
i was planning on getting the original white g102 but i've heard it breaks easily and starts to double click. for $30 i dont think it's worth buying. i would rather save that money and get a white model o. how does the replica perform though? for dirt cheap price i could probably use it as a placeholder for my all white build. my mouse currently is the only black peripheral in my setup and i hate it. does it spin it easily if you flick it around? is it double clicking?

So whats the fix? I cant set the DPI. When i accidentally press the mouse acceleration button on my mouse its shoots up high.
