Incredible how you manage to film these tough times, so happy to read your dad is recovering well 😊 thank you for sharing such vulnerable times, it’s a reality check on the travel distance for sure.
This was only 4 of the 10 days i was home - some days I couldn't film anything which a lot of people forget. Its hard, but also good to be able to show these tougher times and situations that anyone could find themselves in. Thank you for your comment :)
Oh Kim. What an emotional video. I know how hard it must be for you all. I hope you are doing okay and i hope your dad makes a full recovery. I will put him in my prayers tonight. Lots of love. X
Oh Kim, you poor love. What a tough time for you. I had a similar experience earlier this year and it’s so hard being so far away. Glad you got to go home to be with your Dad. I hope he is doing better. X
A sad, yet beautiful and happy blog. Life offers us these mixed emotions. You have shown strength, courage and commitment to family there and here in Australia. Enjoy life while we all have the opportunity.
I was in the same situation in June, i live in Florida. Sadly my dad passed while we were waiting for a connecting flight in Paris. I was a few hours late getting home to England. So happy you made it home to see your dad! Stay Strong!
It must be hard being so hard from your loved ones but at least you were able to get home and comfort your dad. It's close to home for me, I've had an angiogram and now 2 titanium tubes in my coronary arteries. I had symptoms so they got to mine before an attack. Hopefully it's something not too challenging. They can do amazing things these days to hearts and hopefully your dad will be up and about soon and if not climbing mountains then at least well.
My dad was so anxious about what was going to happen as he hadn't been in hospital for over 50 years, so you can imagine he was shocked at how times have moved on with all the options they can do these days! I will provide more of an update soon as this video was filmed over a week ago but thankfully he is recovering well! Thank you for your comment :)
What a stressful time for you all. I went through the same thing with my dad when I was 6 months pregnant with our first child. Massive heart attack, quadruple bypass and went on to live another 28 years. I pray your dad has the same outcome 😘
Ohhhhhh darling, what a difficult video to watch.💔 I am so dreadfully sorry about your dad. Thank goodness though he is in hospital where they can find out the cause of his heart attack. So much that can be done so he will be in good hands. Your heart must feel stretched in two at the moment. It's when you wish the distance wasn't so great. It sounds though your dad has been well stabilised so I pray he will soon be up and about. When you have little ones Kimberley you have no choice to include their wellbeing so your dad will well understand your need to go back home to them. I send you love and will include your family in my prayers. Love xxx❤🙏🤗🤗🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thank you for this. It was so hard being at the other side of the world from them - they were doing amazing but it still didn't feel right! My dad is recovering well after having a defibrillator fitted - so it's a little peace of mind if anything was to ever happen again! Thank you for thinking of me x
@@kimberleylucas there really is so much nowadays that can be done for heart conditions. Mother-in-law had major heart surgery in her sixties and dispite now being on loads of medications she is 92!!!!! I hope your dad will go now from strength to strength. Look after yourself Kimberley 🤗love x 💖
Oh Kim, thank you for sharing this emotional journey with us. I just wanted to reach into the screen and hug absolutely everyone! How did Euan juggle his work hours and kiddiwinks? Did he take annual leave to manage? Btw you went to all the shops I would! I'm loving all the Autumnal items around atm. Im a sucker for anything pumpkin related. I hope your Dad is on the road to recovery, Ive no doubt your visit was a HUIGE boost. Take care Kim, Love Jessie x🧡
Its not the video i would have liked to share but it does show the harder parts of this journey for sure. Euan managed to take leave for the time i was away and was AMAZING with the kids, they all benefitted from it if I'm honest :) Thank you for always being so supportive - its very much appreciated xx
@kimberleylucas That's good 👍 Glad you managed to work that out at such short notice. You are both such a good tag team. How is your Dad doing now? My cousin had a heart attack this year at the age of just 45, came out of nowhere. His road to recovery was gradual and really well supported by our amazing NHS. I'm sure your Dad is getting the best care and support.
he has had a defibrillator fitted into his heart and has been discharged home to recover! its amazing the medical technology they have nowadays - we facetime with him a lot and check in to make sure he's doing ok - it will take him time to get his strength back. thank you for checking in! x
Hi Kimberley, Sounds like a very difficult and emotional time for you and your family,I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery for your Dad.Stay strong, you have done the right thing. Its a scary time ( I have recently been through a simalar thing with my Dad except he is not half a world away) so I can relate to the scariness and challenges that you are facing.Your Dad is in the best of hands and has a loving family.I will pray for you and your family, all the best and take care.
My mum had a stroke, and my dad passed away 2 weeks later, that was almost 3 years ago.. i was 33. I never thought id be planning my dads funeral while my mum was in ICU. One of the most difficult times of my life. Glad to hear your dad is recovering well ❤
I have had 3 heart attacks, and my family is also spread out! I helped my mother through breast cancer and MND, and my dad through grief and change! I am really disappointed that so much of this video is about you and your clothes! Best wishes to your dad! 😥
What a nasty comment. She’s obviously not going to have a camera in her dad’s face constantly and nothings moved quickly with regards to his care, so there’s little to update on. She’s spent time buying things for her family, which is a way of showing you care for a lot of people. If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything!
i'm sorry you have gone through that - it's never nice to hear. I'm also sorry my video didn't meet your expectations. I was respectful of my dads condition and was never going to film him lying in his hospital bed asking questions for my youtube audience. I wasn't going to film at all - but i did, and i feel i showed the extremely hard experience well enough. I also didn't buy any clothes for myself so i'm unsure what you are referring to?
@@kimberleylucas not at all, it’s heartbreaking what you’ve gone through, I really felt for you. You’re so honest with your journey and feelings, never think for a second it comes across that you’re talking about clothes. I see someone so strong and brave going through a difficult time and thinking of her family throughout. Wishing your dad a speedy recovery and I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos x
