yes sir...ive been running tabs for over 5 years now and love them..never once had an issue with them and the best part is the powder coating holds up and doesnt fade on the black ones.
Hey Steve love that color.i have the Tab Performance Zombie baffles on my 2023 Street Glide Special with Stage 2 torque cam .It sounds awesome!! Thanks for the video
Steve again I wanted to tell you thanks for the help on backrest. When I went to test drive the new ones I said they sounded like a moped most definitely not like a Harley
Absolutely great videos Steve, and thank you for all the content. I love the tab bam sticks and found another option that works for me, I figured I would share. I have the 4.5 Bam Sticks, I run the zombie baffle on the clutch side and the 2.5 on the brake side. That gives another level of volume between the 2 baffles and helps to hold the back pressure a bit to keep the low end torque. I am running this set up on the 2019 Street Glide special with HD torque cam, Jackpot 2-1-2 header, Arlen Ness high flow AC, and an auto tune session on the Powervision. She is not built for crazy speed, just some sound and some get around! 👍😎
Love these. I got the zombies. Upgrading the air filter soon. Again Harley wants to charge big bucks for a screaming eagle tuner and install even though it’s plug n play. I’ll filter through your videos to see if there’s a tuner vid for air and slip ons only. Love the videos man. Thanks for taking the time to do these.
The se is pretty straight forward to install and its a basic canned map..itll get the bike in the ball park..unless you have it dyno tuned any tuner out there will give you a basic map for your set up..I personally use powervision.
I noticed that TAB has warning in their website for 2023 and newer models “Newer models have taller shocks which move the swingarm closer to the muffler…..and may have to adjust preload” did you have to make any adjustments?
thats awesome your going to love them! I checked the link I posted and it is the exact wrench I have been using for 6 years...Milwauke M12 3/8 drive. The battery is different ...Ive upgraded mine to the m12 XC5 ( amzn.to/4cX0Fvj ) batteries but the kit has the battery it comes with. Thats actually the lowest price Ive seen it posted on amazon for all 3 wrench, battery and charger. The batteries that come with it last quite awhile though...I just upgraded mine this last black Friday as they were on sale. Edited for fat fingers and typos.
Just got a 24 road glide, and it's way too quiet for me. I've been shopping around and was leaning towards Cobra neighbor hater V2's. I think from this video compared to others the sound on your pipes is exactly what I'm looking for
Great video Steve! Have enjoyed a lot of your videos for several years now. One question; the saddlebag stand you have on the floor (shown at about 4:48 min into this video); what brand is it? Looks very nice to have for safe keeping of the saddlebags while working on the bike! Best regards from Norway, Jan Inge
Thank you! I used to have the home made ones and I even did a video on it using pvc pipe and foam...they just take up tons of floor room when they are not being used. These are actually from Harley. I can fold them up and hang them on the wall when not in use.. here is the link where I got them www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/saddlebag-storage-stand/p/94778-10
it seems to me the more technology refines the bikes and makes them bigger and faster; they sound more like Japanese bikes., don't get me wrong i like my 2019 RG. i was thinking of upgrading to a 2024 RG CVO instead but the cost is insane for a daily driver, I'm going back to an old pan head or shovelhead instead. two bikes make the best of both worlds. Thanks Advent keep it up! great stuff cool video's.
@@sikbaggerswhat model shovel are you interested in? I have a line on a 1976 FXE in Md. I thought about it for myself, but I don’t have the time to take care of it and make it a safe rider.
Definitely want Tab Performance for my 24 Street Glide. Would my warranty be void if I add just slip-ons? Also I am considering the 1.75 baffles , I don't want the constant drone when cruising with the stereo on. Thanks, great video.
You mentioned that you have installed just about every exhaust out there. I was wondering if you have ever put on a set of the Boneshaker exhaust? They have a couple different versions of them for the M8. When I put a cam in my bike it really woke up the pipes and made them sound good. I’m curious what you think about them.
installed a few sets...never was a fan of the trumpet style slip ons but thats an opinion ..had a ton of them turn grey and ashy looking..the coatings are not great...seen the chrome chipping and peeling on the tips too..I dont recommend them
Great video! I was on the fence for 4" or 4.5" TAB mufflers for my 2024 Street Glide. After watching your video, I will go with the 4.5" mufflers! Do you recommend replacing the clamps or using the existing factory clamps?
I have a 2015 Street Glide Special with Rinehart Slip Ons. My friend had the same bike with Screaming Eagles Slip ons. His bike had a deeper sound coming out of those pipes and I did like that sound better. How does the Tab Performance sound compare to these two I just mentioned?
Thanks for the video. I just got a 2024 street glide and need some mellow pipes but Harley said not without an ECM adjustment. But my dealer say ok as long as I keep the stock air cleaner. I appreciated what you said as I tend to agree. However the TAB website says I should have the ECM checked with their pipes because of a possible lean issue at idle. Maybe TAB is protecting their company. So I’m confused. I’d really appreciate your feedback as so far none of the UA-cam channels I’ve looked at regarding slip ons will answer this simple question. Thanks in advance.
Thank for checking it out...as far as tuning goes...any bike from the showroom can benefit greatly from a simple tune as HD puts on a simple map tune...and they already tend to run a slightly lean. But nothing to worry about. Changing your slip ons will not effect how it runs. If you change to an open air cleaner and/or an open header you will need to tune. More air in-more air out needs a tune. You can change your slip ons only a 100 times and not need a tune but like I said your bike will benefit from a good tune regardless...so that is something you may want to budget for in the future.
@@sikbaggers What great advice. Thanks so much. Also I want to thank you for the information on Advanblack. I was wanting a color matched king tour pack but didn’t want to pay 2 grand as I might only use it a couple times a year. Your channel has provided great information and I appreciate your instructional videos as I really need to change my grips. Thanks again!
Great vid! Is it true the zombie baffles will affect performance because no back pressure? Wondering if I should go with bam sticks with medium baffles rather than 50 cal with zombies? Any advice? Thanks ✌🏼
Steve, have you done stretched Advanblack bags and extended rear fender piece with 50cals and angle tip ? Still have clearance concerns ? Recessed stll? And is that bike catted or catless?
the 50 cals will not work with the fender extension or and the bags...the rear of the 24 frame has not changed any at all..so it would be the same issue as the 23 and older. You would need the round tips and dominator fender for sure. Im still running that set up on my 15 road glide from the previous 50 cal video.
Hey Steve, TAB w/medium baffles VS Rinehart exhaust. The Rineharts have always had that low deep rumble as well. In your opinion, the TAB's are a better sound than them? Thanks, great video as always! ✌😇
I would hand down choose TABs over Reinhart's any day...absolutely. But slip ons are really just a matter of opinion...just changing the slip ons will not gain you any significant seat of the pants HP..I always tell epople to pick the one they like the sound of and how it looks.,...thats the best one for you.
hey bro harley has a lube with a precision tip on it for like 8 bucks...it only takes a few drops...or use a molly based lube like bike Aid Dri Slide ...its a big o bottle and costs way more..the harley lube goes a long way and its cheaper
@@sikbaggers thanks Steve I really appreciate it, I’ve ordered one of those cable lube tools that clamp on the end of the cable but I’ve always heard not to use regular lube like WD40
I bought the bam sticks for my 2024 road glide, it would be good if tab performance sent the header gaskets with them. Went to install today and can’t 😡😡
I have the tab 4.5 bam sticks and their 2-1-2 header. I noticed my right side exhaust is coming out cool/cold and the left side is hot. Is that normal? Headers are hot but exhaust is cold when it comes out. No exhaust leak, no plug issues and bike runs fine, just find it odd.
after you changed the header did you do a proper tune on it? If you tuned it with a canned map you could do a auto tune on it...also the right side header and slip on have a much larger opening so it will run slightly cooler..it really isnt something I would worry about too much.
@@sikbaggers thank you for the response. Yes I got it tuned and dyno after the install was complete. Just wanted your input before I made it a concern for the dealer. Thanks again and love the content.

Hey Chris...much appreciated sir! We do offer that color with the pinstripe on the tour pack..as of right now we know the old stretched bags and dominator fender fit the bike but that would require you to go back to the old style and also do the lids and hardware too. The front fender as of right now doesn't fit the new forks...we are working on new adapters for that as well..like all the other companies we are playing catch up on making all new parts and some of these just take time. The lower fairings wont work either as of right now...all things we plan on working on fr the new models though.
