his e2 art is pretty good too and as for the defenderknights strategy, having 24+ block may turn it into lagknights lol

There are 2 reasons why use Ayerscarpe
1. I don't have decent Noble guards like Thorns

Screw Lapdumb and Silverass he's sticking with me, was one of the first operators I ever got and has been with me since. Love his design (especially his skin) and how he tries to find ways to turn himself into a human battery. The idle animation on his skin is pretty funny, man loves his edamame.

Personally think his first skill is better than his 2nd skill, multi target slow with offensive recovery skill + aspd buff just looks really good. Really want him for this, but he hasn't come yet, and I'm going to see if I have rolls for Thorns after Ch'en alter banner, and if I get Thorns, I'll want him less, but still looking forward to the day when he does come home. Thanks for the video

I'd say both of his skill are good. Decrease sp cost on s1m3 is really good and the damage from s2m3 is really insane in annihilation 7 against those bullies, especially when you have Liskarm
I personally use his skill 1 more often as it’s more consistent and is a great pair with liskarm. But his skill 2 is actually really useful in some situations. Since his skill 2 attacks all blocked enemies near him, it’s really useful when a big wave of enemies are arriving
@@Anson_TM Yeah, I don't have him, but I predict good usages of his skill 2 would be stages that require operators to stick together to survive like in 6-11 or H5-4 or maybe even H6-4 where lots of enemy waves also come
2nd skill has pretty good damage because if there's one enemy being blocked, he gets 2 hits (one from basic atk, 2nd from skill) which makes the skill good vs single targets (though probably not as good as silverash or thorns.
even with thorns, i love my bunbun, so yes, i built him even if i need to build many more :)

more seriously, his S2 can deal some surprisingly high damage with good placement (middle lane in Patriot EX stage for example, where he can zap 7 ennemy/attack)
The bonus aspd is not that much, but can help if you only need a little bit more dps to achieve something
i have ayerscarpe s2m3, and i've got to say, he's really fun to use when he works. Most of the time, his usage is gimped by enemies that can't be blocked well, and a skill that has long uptime/downtime. I would prefer if his skill downtime was shorter, even if his uptime was multiple times shorter in proportion.
As it stands, his skill only works on low tier mobs, because high tier enemies do too much damage to be blocked. When combined with his high uptime/downtime, his skill murders everyone within range, then stays up for another 30s, meaning it comes up *just in time* for the next wave to spawn. The skill itself is incredibly strong, with the highest potential arts damage in one skill activation by about 3x (~900k vs 300k), though.
Maybe you can use Liskarm in front of him to charge up his S2 faster? rly fun to do with S1 too, with only 3 secs to proc the skill.
He’s a bunny. That to me, is a good enough reason to build him.

I simply build Ayerscarpe because Leonhardt needs his bodyguard. Also good with AOE guards.
I have Ayerscarpe E2 S2M3. He is one of my favourite operators even though I don't use him as much now. (Still don't have Thorns tho)
His S2 is good on maps where a lot of blocking is needed or if you prefer a more Defenderknights playstyle.
I bring him with Liskarm for Deserted Factory map sometimes. The carbon map is also fun.
The slow and arts dmg on his S1 is also nice to have e.g. with snipers against spiders in some situations.

If you have Thorns in your team,maybe not.Because, Thorns can be more reliable than ayerscarpe
I think that depends from how many enemies appeared on the lane they kept. If the enemy are few enough that prevent Thorns to activate his S3 for second time, he is the good replacement, though SA with S1 is better replacement for that.

he was one of my first 5* in the game, and i love how much he carried me during kazimierz event as a newbie with his aoe arts, ngl, i really dont use him that often anymore, but i think he deserves the investment, at least S2M2 for the memes

ayerscarpe is great when you need to put units together, but not so much on his own compared to others
Feels like he would be really good on maps where you can stack three defenders side by side, but pretty limited other than that. I find Lappland and possibly even Arene as better investments.

As someone who has a built Silverash, Thorns, Lappland and Arene I think I'll pass. If I need an attack buffer I have Aak and Skalter to fill that role.
Why you should build him: Bunboys gud
im a big fan of his S2 and i try to use him as often as possible, esp for sustained arts damage with many mobs. he helps relieve pressure on my defensive line as he attacks every single blocked enemy by units beside him. it also helps that his talent increases the attack speed of the units around him, so it benefits slow attackers like defenders (eg on hit charge skill types) and AOE guards. hell, i use him with thorns too sometimes. hes my best boy alongside leonhardt. :)
His s2 just perfectly fit with my playstyle for stacking enemy with defender and wipe them at once

Since you mentioned Frostleaf...If we compare Frostleaf to Ayerscarpe...first with their S1's:
-Frostleaf's a 150% ATK single target with a stronger slow for longer time (3 seconds) and charges up automatically.
-Ayerscarpe is a 160% multiple hit (up to 3) whose slow is weaker, shorter time (1 second) and needs to attack to charge his S1.
If we try to compare their S2's:
-Frostleaf gets an speed attack boost that erases her ASPD penalty from her talent, slows the enemy speed by half and has a fair chance to bind a single enemy for two seconds.
-Ayerscrape gets to 'act like an AoE Arts dealing' Guard with the range of a Promoted Frostleaf/Unpromoted Marksman Sniper. I airquote on 'act like an AoE Arts dealing' Guard because he only acts like that only if he's attacking people who are already blocked and if he's attacking someone.
Right comparison between the two mostly done, he buffs speed a little bit more than Angelica, but only for people placed right next to his 8 surrounding tiles. That's a bit of a problem as that could be where an AoE attack could cause a multi-wipe out if done carelessly.
His S2 practically requires a high block count so Cuora, Vulcan and/or Nian is an requirement with their +1 block skills.
I got him as my second 5 star operator and still be my favaorite operator since March 2021

Honestly if you think about it... i just want to get him because he is a cautus but when i try to wish on suzuran banner. I got 4 suzuran,2 blaze,1 silverash, FEater,kafka,nightmare,spectre,broca and i still have no ayerscarpe
I have Lappy, and another lord is never a bad thing, but Ayerscarpe looks useless to me... I even prefer Midnight and his manual art damage, low cost and easy build, or Arene and his hate for flying things (and manual arts damage, the main problem of Lappy... if her second skill was manual, she sure would have been a 6*)
I hope HG will buff him that reduce SP cost of S2 (at least 30/36 SP cost)

mine is s1m3, pretty good since s1 only require 3sp, for me he is slightly better than frostleaf except for his range, but if you already hv Thorns and Lappland I don't think you need him, for integrated strategy just use Arene, cheaper alternative.
