I just watched your video and thought this is pretty simple...I've cleaned the filter on a different brand, so I had a go. Unfortunately for me, the cap was stuck...I called Hoover and they were very helpful and suggested that there could be something stuck behind the cap...so I got a torch and glasses and persevered, trying to coach it out, but afraid to use a screwdriver or anything like that to assist me, since everything was made of pvc/plastic and I did not want to damage it. Anyway, yes, there was a drill bit stuck in there and when I got that out, the cap came off...also, there was heaps of stuff in the filter, including coins. I'm just posting this here in case someone else has the same problem. These videos are great for DIY'ers!! Thanks so much. It also taught me how important it is to clean the filter more often!
So far I’ve coaxed a few coins, a metal thing and two stones? Out but not the filter… and half a mop bucket filled 😂 it’s late but I don’t understand people who leave their laundry to stew lol so I will try some more 🤞🤞🤞🤞
I woke up to this error code (E03) reflecting on my Hoover washing machine, and Wooow, I have tried your SIMPLE well explained steps and now the washing machine has span to the end! A huge thank you for your generosity. It has saved me plumber fee... Once again thank you!!
Just had this exact issue on my Candy washer/dryer and after watching this video, I emptied the filter and cleaned out a load of shirt collar stays. Machine is now up and running and I was about to have to call an engineer in the new year so thank you for this so much!
BRILLIANT video! Thank you so much. I followed it exactly and fixed my machine without having to pay someone to come out. Thank you VERY much. It was very easy to follow.
Thank you so much! Every couple of months I need to send it in for this error. Imagine my surprise when I found curtain hooks, string, and solidified washing powder. Took me less than 5 minutes to resolve
I think it's worked! Couldn't get the hose out and a LOT of water came out but so did a very suspicious looking 2p coin. It's spinning now so I think we are onto a winner !! Thank you
Thank you so so much you have just saved me from having to buy a new washer after following your instructions and unclogging the filter my washers now working good as new . Thank you so much 😀
Jenni Withington great news. If it keep happening, and there's nothing clogging the filters let me know. I've got a fix for that too - just haven't uploaded the video yet
garrethbert I'm having the same problem. I've cleaned 5he filter there's no blockage checked the drain pipe. It runs a cycle then the dreaded E03 is back again. Can you help?
Have you uploaded that video yet? It keeps happening on our Hoover, I've drained it several times, checked the pump each time, but now I get an E03 every time.
Ive pulled out the filter and cleaned it then swirled around the impeller and have found nothing. The washer is till showing E03 error code so what do I do now?
Its not the problem with my machine the main drain hose is clear and the waste water is also clear , ive replaced the pressure switch and its still giving E03 but if i put it on a manual drain it finishes fine . Any ideas ?( checked the resistance of the heater element and its mid range of the expected value -apparently a failing heater can cause E03 as well)
In can't get to that pipe you pull out, it just looks like a plug that can't be removed. EDIT: apparently on some models there is no pipe. Just lay down some towels and unscrew the big one.
Good tips, thanks. Can the front drain hose get blocked also - I get the drain error code and there’s water everywhere if I take the filter out, but nothing comes out of the front hose. Thanks.
So I have a Hoover. I replaced the water pump and housing as I thought this was the issue. Pipes leading to the drain outside is clear. Still water isn't draining. Any ideas?
Tried this but when twisted it the plastic spun but wouldn't come out then the button came away from the hose and water came out from under the machine??,
Hi I did this still having error E03 checked the impeller and does have resistance when spinning by hand but there’s nothing inside it’s clean and holding water in the rubber hose I’m stumped
Cheers for that, i tried it previously but it didn’t work. Tried removing the black hose from the drum to the filter also but it was clear too. Remove the drainage hose next? Reluctant to just coz it’s near electrics. Don’t wanna mess with it. Might just call someone out.
Charlotte Baker hi Charlotte, tbh it hasn't bothered us in a while now. Trying to remember what I did apart from just clean what I saw I could get access to. Had it on its back for a while to try and access other areas but very cautious about tinkering too much with a washing machine, scary electrics in there! Large capacitors etc. I don't think this video helped tbh. If I remember anything I'll post back. Good luck with it! Hope you get sorted.
Thank you so much! I’ve used your method once or twice. The problem is that it keeps on happening and I noticed that sometimes it doesn’t take the fabric conditioner in. Is there anything else I can do?
It might be worth cleaning out the fabric conditioner / washing powder drawer. You can take it out and soak out all the gunk. Also the pipe below that can get clogged, so putting a mix of bleach and water in the drawer, leaving it for 30 minutes and then running the machine empty on the hottest cycle might clear it. If that doesn’t work, reply and there are some more things to try
@@garrethbert thank you!I have tried to put the machine on auto wash, but it stopped again with some water in the drum, causing me to open the filter again
@@ilariarigoni6885 that sucks. First thing, try unplugging machine for 5 minutes, plugging back in then turn washer to drain / spin cycle. Does that clear the error? If not, then check the flexible drain hose at the back of the machine for obstructions and kinks. And check the drain it connects to for blockages (is it connected to a slow draining kitchen sink u-bend?) When the washer stops to try to drain, do you hear a gurgling noise? (Trying to see if the pump is turning on)
@@garrethbert Yes I hear the gurgling noise and when I turn the machine off and then on again, the error is still showing😞 so for now I empty the filter and wash it, but I had to call someone who is coming soon and hopefully sort it. I think that the problem is in the pipes, as you say.
Hi any ideas why I get error 03 only on a wash cycle. If I rinse and drain all ok. But on a wash it drains empty then 03 code. Thanks same machine as this.
I think it might be your heating element - they sometimes throw an E03 code. It makes no sense, but if you replace the element (about £15 and a few bolts) your luck may improve
I've cleaned mine but I still get E03. I noticed too that the washing machine will just sit there draining for the entire cycle but doesn't actually do anything else. I cleaned the entire drainage system. Any ideas?
It could be that your heater element is scaled up. Sometimes that throws an E03 error. It's about £20 and 10 minutes to swap it out. That fixed my E03 error for good.
@@xclutchingmycure I ended up removing the whole pump (from underneath the waching machine, unscrewing its two 7mm screws). Proceeded to disassemble the pump and removing that black thing. For this machine, you have to get the drain pipe at the back of the machine. Take the loose end and lower it so it points into a bowl. That lets you drain the final dregs. Then you can spin the filter at the front of the machine and clean it. You still need a towel!
