NOW that you have a Western Auto boxcar I am getting jealous! As a tyco collector I would absolutely kill to have that boxcar as it was included in the shorter Midnight Special set in place of the BN boxcar. There's videos of it somewhere!
I have two of the Mash 4077 F9As in my collection along with all but one of the cars for the set being the flatcar with trailers. The cars and locos were acquired a few years ago after my original train set was gone (due to the years) which I received as a gift during Christmas as a kid. Also, I didn't know that Life-Like actually had a N&W GP38-2 painted for the correct railroad. I always thought that it would be neat to paint one up in the proper colors, but Life-Like actually did one as shown.
The Milwaukee Road is an ALCO switcher. I'd like to find one in CNW. Recent train shows I've been to were pretty sparse. I have a Fairbanks switcher. Their long hood is "high", giving them a unique appearance. They also have a neat sound!
Great hall all around. question, do you ever use the Operating Cars? or do you keep them with the kit? i have a few of them and im split between using them for actual use on the layout, or keeping them where they are
@@VintageRoadRail i know that feeling, ive gotten lucky at my recent shows and i have about 20 without boxes now, some Blue B and O, 4 Virginias, 8 Holly sugar, and i got real lucky on 6 weathered Pennsylvania cars. thanks for your replay my friend

For the most part I keep the set together and store it away. I hope to one day be able to build out a full-on Tyco layout using these operating kits.

Where do u go to get your trains set train from
Anyplace that sells trains I look for the promotional sets. Train shows are a good start. Usually can work a good deal
