The Madhyamaheshwar - Nandikund - Rudranath trek is a trek through the beautiful Nandikund lake located at 15748 ft. enroute to Madhyamaheshwar-Rudranath trail that was used by the Pandavas.
Nandikund - Ghiya Vinayak Pass trek is a gem of a trek in the lap of the Himalayas of Uttrakhand. Offering up close views of Chaukhaba, Mandani and views as far as the Panpatia Snow field, Neelkanth, Parvati etc, from the top of Ghiya Vinayak pass, this trek is superb and a must do for all the Himalayan High Seekers. Though, it is not an easy trek, on the other hand it is not a technical trek as well. The trek is strenuous involving steep climbs and steep descents. Specially, the trek from Kachni Khal to Pandavsera is very easy to get lost without a sound guide. There is no proper trail to follow.
This trek is connected mythologically to the Pandavas, who followed Lord Shiva and built temples on their way, worshiping and pleasing him to attain salvation. Madhyamaheshwar and Rudranath are two of the Panch Kedars. Tungnath, Kedarnath and Kalpeshwar being the rest of the five.
This route is considered pious by the Hindus.

Rudranath to Rudranath: 3 din minimum ar 5 din maximum lagenge( aapke group ki speed ke upar depend krta h).
Forest dept. Se permission mandatory h...kyunki yeh Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary ka part h.

Hi,
Best time to trek - sept, oct. Baki seasons me snow ar heavy rainfall rehti h.
We did this trek in first week of Oct.
Madhya Maheswar to Nandikund is approx 25 km and from Nandikund to Rudranath is approx 28 km.
Total distance = 53 km.
Madhyamayeshwar se ghiya vinayak pass tak trail bni hui h, uske baad kuch 3-4 km tak trail gayab h. Except yeh 3-4 km , baki puri trail bni hui h.
