Hey guys, didn't know on which video to comment so lets go with this one. I simply want to sincerely thank you for your Rules Bites for WFRP4E. I just GMed my first game of WFRP and second FRP game ever, thanks in large part to your quick bite sized videos. I read the Core Rulebook multiple times, but these videos nonetheless served as great reminders for pre game prep, a day or two before the session, since they are brief, informative, well put together and easily digestible to a newbie like myself. In brief, thank you for your help, keep up the good work and God's speed, I hope that your reach increases as fast as possible. I have already recommended this channel to my friends who are keen on playing or GMing Warhammer or Call of Cthulhu. Best wishes Slađan Rankić (Sladjan Rankic)
I quoted you on our stream tonight, Sladjan. Thank you SO very much for the mid words. They came at a time where we may have been questioning our next steps! Glad to have helped you with your campaign in some way! Details? Do we have any mutations yet or is it too soon? 😒
Hello, again! I hope you don't mind but we featured this comment at the beginning of our Deadlands campaign stream (Episode 10)! This kind of feedback means a lot to our crew and I couldn't help but share! Cheers, my friend!
I like adding in a flaw I liken to *ineffective* or unfinished; it comes from a blacksmith or leathermaker that is unskilled or just new so it cheapens the item at a cost, during combat when struck in that location there's a 25% chance the armor doesn't reduce the wounds at all (though that might seem to high to some so feel free to reduce it to like 10 or less) useful early on. More of a flavor thing imo but some realism in it.
Hi Jason. I've binge watched your WFRP rules bites series over the last couple of days. It's been a great series both in useful content and entertainment. It's helped galvenise my understanding of the rules and added to my knowledge where I had overlooked things. It will certainly change the way I play; I've tended to treat the adventure as a puzzle to be solved and will now be adding a lot more character into my roleplaying to add depth and flavour to the fantasy world. I've recommended your series to my friends in the same party so hopefully we help help you climb the UA-cam algorithm ladder. Please keep up the great content - I'm off to watch your Tides of Nurgle series. Thanks,. Dan
Holy crap, Daniel. This made my day. I’ve been struggling to find time to fit in channel updates but this comment is pure motivation!! Glad you found the WFRP series helpful. You’ll find we were struggling with the rules ourselves through the Tides campaign but I think it gave us a healthy respect for the finer points as we went. I have a couple more episodes in mind for 4th edition and am considering a bit of a review series on the 2nd edition library. There’s so much great content there! Anyway, thanks again!
I'm a bit late to this party, and I'm just embarking on being a WFRP 4E GM, so binge watching this playlist has been absolutely pure gold! The Roll20 episode was irrelevant for me, but every other episode has been a great shortcut for me in regards to understanding the WFRP 4E rules. Thank you so much for this playlist 😊 Totally dig your channel, please keep up the great content. One of the best rpg channels here on UA-cam I'm off to binge your Tides of Nurgle now! 😎👍
After reading over the Armour section in the rulebook, im still confused. Can a knight, (should his coin allow it) Stack Leather, Mail, AND Plate mail? For a total AP of 5 in a given hit location? Or can you only stack mail and plate for an AP of 4?
Wow! Thanks Lukasz and thanks for checking out the channel! Had a ton of fun with the first bit And planning another pass. The community has provided some pretty awesome suggestions on some things we left uncovered.
@@MythBrigade That would be great! I've read most of the comments and I agree :) Surely I'll try to help You by sharing this content with my fellows Players and GMs. We are just starting adventure with 4th edition, but so far this looks promising! Some food for thoughts/ideas for future videos I would like to share: - How about honest comparing 2nd and 4th edition? What is done better/worst in 4th? - What are your key takeaways after running campaign? What GMs should pay more attention? What you've struggled with the most?
A have a few thoughts on the system (not your video, that was excellent). Considering that the old world is heavily based on historical, (late) medieval europe, I feel like leather armor shouldn't have a place in it. Padded/flexible armor is a different story though. Might change that when I run a campaign of my own. Also IRL plate just stops most attacks outright, instead of just mitigating damage. To counter it you'd usually either use some sort of thrusting attacks against (typically mail covered) gaps or blunt weapons (breaking bones or denting the armor). Grappling also can be a good idea. Wh40k Rogue Trader (the RP by FFG, their other ones probably too) distinguishes 4 types of damage: piercing, slashing/cutting, penetrating and energy with each having its own crit tables (resulting in a total of 16! one for each combination of type and location). I guess using something like this could provide unique interactions with armor. Gonna look into house rules regarding that!
Outstanding video content. From start to finish. Thanks for the break down of the rules dude. Firstly this has made my job as GM so much easier. Secondly where did you buy all them t shirts from?
Great series! The rule book is really scarce on trappings, especially weapon and armor. This is such a shame as combat is integral part of WFRP and we want to equip our characters with the coolest swords and shiniest armour.
Hi guys, I just binged this whole thing and am starting the Tides of Nurgle adventure next. Is this over? You mention another combat simulation and look at monsters. Is that still happening? Nonetheless I will share this with all my players
Hi Mark!! Thanks so much for watching! We found the process of making these videos helped us get a basic grasp. The series is NOT over but we've admittedly slowed down a little thanks to COVID and such. We've gotten some great feedback and ideas on where we should take the WFRP coverage. Watch for more episodes (and season II of our Tides of Nurgle Campaign) late spring!
Hi. Great video. Could you please explain the trade skills like blacksmithing. I just cant wrap my head around it. The rules are kind of loose i think. Thanks!
Trade skills like that rely on Crafting Endeavors to make stuff. We have an episode on that and I was ironically answering a question in its comments like 10 minutes ago. Check out the episode and the info, starting on page 197. If you have specific questions, let me know and I will try to answer. I will admit. It’s a HEAVY and VAGUE set of rules!!
This is a great series! Game companies should do videos like this to explain the rules and showcase their products. Thanks for doing this.
Thanks so much! Personally, I hope they never do! What in the hell would I blather about?! LOL

Whatever happened to this series? In this one you mention a video on Monsters?
Really enjoy your WFRP content.
Just found your WHF RPG videos, Thank the gods for sending me here :)
Thanks for taking the time to check out the channel, Mr. Twinkels!

Things to mention as well, worn items such as armour have their encumbrance reduced by 1.
