For most retro games or such in realistic perspective, you wonder how they got some powerful cutting edge stuff or just really overpowered stuff, whatever that no one is ever seen this kind of thing while we the players have small but powerful capable to overcome despite the odds like they got gigantic things that utterly feel like we are doomed when we face it one on one. Depending on how the story game goes it will be either they got secret organization created to conquer the world, a one individual that posses powerful tech/stuff that either want to conquer/destroy the world on their own, aliens lurking in their planet world that assimilate humanity creations, whatever are these are just mostly fictional in cases of how they set ablaze on earth that threaten their life to death if cannot be stop.
