Outro: Silent Night (Piano Cover)
Hello, I'm Rousseau, I make piano covers of classical and pop songs with a reactive visualizer. New videos every Monday and Thursday!
#Rousseau #Piano #PianoCover
Tchaikovsky. Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. One of his most charming and magical compositions. Although it is so often associated with ballet in popular culture, as a musician it's hard to think of the celesta without also thinking of this piece. Only invented a few years before, it's amazing to think what audiences must've thought at the arpeggiated section - hearing a new timbre for the first time! I hope you're all keeping well and have a great Monday, and Christmas week ♥
Increible, feliz navidad

This always sent chills up my spine, it was like that one Christmas doll was coming to life, and there was nothing you could do but stare while the other's get up with it. Until the song ends, and they fall back to place as your mother asks what's wrong.

No matter what time of year it is, the Nutcracker suites always bring me back to the winter in second grade. I went on a school field trip to see The Nutcracker and it was the most incredible thing I could imagine. I haven't gone to a play since then--it was the only one I've ever seen. The nostalgia is crazy, man! Thanks for bringing back all those happy memories for me, I love your videos!

i can never and will never understand people who dislikes dance of the sugarplum fairy, it's a masterpiece
My father told me he hated it because they played it every day during nap time in kindergarten when he was a kid so he has “music trauma” about it. Kind of like how everyone who was alive during the 90s feel about Celine Dion’s “my heart will go on”. For a solid year at least they played that song everywhere. You could not escape it. I heard it a few months ago and I wanted to cry. No mas!
I don’t like the begging and the end. It’s like a very childish melody by put I love the melody from 0:48 to 1:23
It's scary and creepy af
@@feliznavidad8598 that’s not a Melody, but I get it.
@@AmbivalenceIX I have music trauma from ode to joy because of a school chorus concert video I was forced to watch
1:56 I just love how softly it ends. Like the fairy just poof, disappeared. It's almost like you're watching a magical fairy dancing in the forest, and almost as soon as it began, it ends. Poof, gone. Too short to prove to anyone what you just witnessed. No one would believe you.
It sounds like it ends unresolved on the 4 too.

Sigh. Due to my 40 to 60 dB hearing loss at higher frequencies, the high notes at 1:43 are just sad little "tinks", where I know there should be rich chords. Half a loaf is better than none at all, but I do sometimes regret my misspent youth and unthinking exposure to damaging loud noises.

I feel it should end with an e minor cord
I think that's because the full version has a short continuation but most versions don't include it since they either can't play it (I've never found any piano transcription of it at least) or they don't know it exist ^^ if you listen to the full version the end doesn't feel as abrupt

This music is amazing, it has a feeling of beauty, along with the feeling of being unsettle.
