One of the best to have ever done it! Saw them together before Walter Becker died, then Donald Fagen solo. Amazing performances.

These were all great, I'd love to hear more about Player, Pages, Christopher Cross, and so many more of those soft rockers from the 70s-80s.

I was turned on to Steely Dan in the early '70's while in college. I had a job for a short time cleaning the student union from 11pm to 2am. With an 8:30am class I had to find a better job real fast, but while working in the student union mopping the floors my fellow worker showed me how to rig the jube box to play free songs. For three hours I played Steely Dan's first album to pass the time. And trust me, those floors were spotless for my fellow classmates in the morning.

To watch the clips of Walter and Donald, to me like watching engineers in the sound room. They drill down every detail of the songs they have produced. I learned a lot from watching these clips. Great stuff.

This seems to be entirely from the Leo Sidran interview w/Donald done in 2019. The whole thing is just over two hours in length, and is well worth it. Donald is incredibly open and forthcoming.
