They are a great addition, gives lots of extra space and once you’ve put it up a couple of times you do get used to it. Enjoy 😀 don’t forget to buy a decent hammer and strong ground pegs for sites with gravel parking!
You need to put those first pegs at tge back more under the van. Then upright poles into a little pocket & tuck that padding between the poles & van. Secure with ties. Dont gorgeous to turn your valves inside the awning. This stops all of the air going if you get a puncture. Get some hard ground pegs or rock pegs. Also get some pegs with a drill attachment. You can buy a cheap pie drill from Aldi/Lidl and then drill the pegs in. Much easier! Good luck.
Thank you. We have now bought some telescopic poles and limpets for the padded areas. We also have a variety of pegs for the varied ground conditions (invariably stones 😂) but a drill sounds like a great tip 👍🏻
@@BellasBigAdventures actually we are close to Malaga and got ours last week. A few additions are missing atm but we've reordered it. We had some strong wind here over the last few days and it was no problem so dont worry. As long as you installed the wind breakers 😉

thank you very much for this instructional video as this model is the one I am looking for. The only worry I have is if it is easy to disengage from the camper van if I want to explore during the day?
Youll probably be better off with a drive away version as this one would collapse onto the ground and potentially get damaged. The dometic brand is very good quality though so worrh searching out their drive away version.
Great instruction guide, very helpful. Thank you very much for posting. Do you think you can share any tips where to get it from in Slovakia or Czech Republic? Thank you.
@@BellasBigAdventures Believe it or not, it never crossed my mind to go straight to the domestic website!!! Thanks a lot, will try to order from there. Look forward to your new videos!!! Thanks.
Very informative video thank you, we've ordered the club air (same principle) I love these awnings so much more space, I'll be able to do my exercise in private too, thanks again both ps love your motor home x
Thank you. The awning has been a great addition especially with a dog underfoot. It takes some effort the first time (hopefully your instructions will be better than ours) but with practice gets quicker each time. Enjoy.
The honest answer is i dont know for sure! We dont because it comes with a separate bag for the doors and windows. ive heard mixed opinions about wether you should or not. My hubby thinks it might not roll up small enough if left attached. Another comment I’ve heard is that the ‘glass’ might get damaged if folded differently 🤷♀️ first attempt is always the hardest but it does get easier. The hardest part is often getting it in the runner….. lots of cursing involved 😂 We revisted it in this video…. Excellent advice x thank you! I never thought about the clear plastic getting all damaged, obviously it will have its own way of folding, I’ll stick to the instructions lol but yeah I’ve heard loads of people say the hardest part is getting it in the channel, 🥂 happy travels x
You really need to measure your own as they do differ but ours is about 2800 I think! It does also depend on the levelling too. The awning however does have adjustable sides with a zip to allow for unlevel ground. Thanks for watching
Thank you for this great video! I have a 40’rv trying to see if there is any way to use one of these, it has a height of 11.5 feet to the awning… any thoughts?
@@Bass1469 wow that is high! Ive never heard of an Awning in Europe that tall. Maybe they make specific ones for the american RV market as they have lots of tall vehicles there. Of course there are manufacturers like Concorde in europe who make tall motorhomes maybe they could advise you on the best place to find one? Might be worth dropping them an email.
It’s a great space especially with a dog. More room to relax if the weathers not so great 😀 We now take about an hour to set up everything but we are new to all this! Hopefully we’ll get quicker.
We haven’t I’m afraid… plenty of rain but not wind yet sorry. You would need the limpets and they do sell extra storm straps but we’ve not tested that yet.

Thanks for getting back to me 😊
Great addition giving a lot more space, I bet Bella loves looking out of those big windows. ❤️
She does indeed…. She is the nosiest dog I’ve ever met 😂 loves to watch the world go by.

Wunderbar! Next month is our first timer 🙈, but after seeing your video...what could go wrong 🤷♂️👍
Youll be fine. First time always seems daunting but it gets easier i promise. 🤞🏻
A tip…….we always leave the carpet/groundsheet down…..last item to pack. This helps stop any potential punctures on gravel or stony surfaces.
Top tip thank you 😊
Hi thanks for posting this i’ve loved it, can i please ask are you chairs comfy & what make are they x
Yes they’re very comfy they’re Isabella Thor I think. You can get a leg rest too.

We have just bought the Drive Away version, it is a bit more fiddly than this one in the video. Only put it up once and there's a storm warning 😞

Are you not able to leave windows and doors in place for packing after the initial build? Others I've seen you can.
To be fair I dont know the answer to that!.... I'd say not as they give you a separate storage bag but i dont know for sure sorry.
Wow! It gives a big increase in living space and so versatile. About how long would you set aside for setting up when you arrive on site?

why didn't you pack it up with all windows still in? Would save alot of time.
They recommend you don’t because of the folds plus it doesn’t all fit in the bag with windows attached.
