"- Please know we do understand some people believe it feels/seems like we've released and/or currently offer a lot of (too many even!) Timber models! But please also understand nearly every Timber has become one of our best-selling models, and many have become all-time best sellers in the industry overall, because so many people enjoy and buy them. We also understand it may seem like we only ever release Timbers, Sticks, Cubs, T-28s, P-51s, F-16s, etc. but please keep in mind these are "evergreen" and best-selling models industry-wide in almost every size from every manufacturer. They're the models we can count on selling well so we can try new things like the recently announced Aermacchi turbine jet ARF, the F-14 Twin 40mm EDF, Beechcraft D18, Eratix, and other less common subject matters we've recently and will release in the future.
Also, we technically now only offer a total of 5 Timber models:
1) Twin Timber 1.6m (announced April 2023)

And for those who might have the urge to think/say we "never release anything different!", please don't forget just a few weeks ago we announced the ALL-NEW Hangar 9 Aermacchi MB-339 60-85N Turbine Jet which is a giant-scale ARF model (www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...-ARF-84). Also, as we've noted before (the second paragraph is a helpful reminder):
We typically release upwards of two dozen new airplane models each year, from ultra micro to giant scale, from trainers and STOL-capable models to warbirds and jets. Around half or more of those are ALL-NEW designs, and the remainder are usually NEW updates/upgrades of previously available models. We try to "sequence" them so we don't announce/release too many updated/upgraded versions of previous models in a row, but that's not always possible...especially for the last few years due to supply chain and other challenges caused by the pandemic.
And if anyone doesn't like our recent, this or any future announcements/releases, they should wait a few weeks to see what the next one is...because it could be COMPLETELY different and something they like/want much more! We've got some ALL-NEW jets, civilian scale, STOL, 3D, sport and other models in the works and coming soon.

Yes! You guys are giving us so much of a variety. I'm HH and eflight all the way. Enjoying a new air tractor this spring. Great flying plane. I bought the quarterly realflight pack and I can't get enough of the corsair and twin otter. The patch update made landing the beechcraft so much better. How about a commander and air tractor in one of the quarterly releases? Love this hobby so much and you guys make it possible thanks

This post was all you needed. You didn't need to respond to every post that you deemed less than enthusiastic. We're not here because we are HH critics. we're here because we are HH customers, eager to buy another plane. The Beech 18 is the nicest plane I have bought in a long time...I love it! I would love something else like it (Cessna Skymaster anyone?), but I pretty much only buy scale planes, so the TImber (of any type) is a pass for me, though if I was going to buy one, this would be the one. I'm sure you will sell a boatload!

PLEASE make a larger Aero Commander. Imagine it with flaps and retracts… it would be gorgeous. Anyway this plane looks like so much fun. I love my UMX turbo timber evo. Most fun I’ve ever had in RC
Unexpected for me but that is one fantastic looking model. I love the idea of aggressive aerobatic capability in a larger package and a twin turbo prop makes for a complete layer of icing on the cake. Well done Horizon

Nice to see company improving products based on user feedback. While "its another Timber", I wonder if Quad and then Jet Timber will appear just for the memes.
That said, I'd love to see someone rebooting PBY Catalina, Dynam one is discontinued and then had some... quality issues. Still, as I'm eyeing out some easy to fly STOL/Bushplane, who knows if it will be Timber of some sort

Does this have the option to mix the flaps in with the ailerons like on the X?
Yes! You just need to disconnect the aileron servos from the y-harness and connect them to channels 2 and 5, then mix them with the flaps accordingly...exactly as shown in the Timber X manuals :)
Now we just need a Timber X Evolution with a top battery loader, and we have the perfect Timber family 👍

I think we have plenty versions of the timber, just keep the evo out for a good few years and don't discontinue it like all the others..
Please know we do understand some people believe it feels/seems like we've released and/or currently offer a lot of (too many even!) Timber models! But please also understand nearly every Timber has become one of our best-selling models, and many have become all-time best sellers in the industry overall, because so many people enjoy and buy them. We also understand it may seem like we only ever release Timbers, Sticks, Cubs, T-28s, P-51s, F-16s, etc. but please keep in mind these are "evergreen" and best-selling models industry-wide in almost every size from every manufacturer. They're the models we can count on selling well so we can try new things like the recently announced Aermacchi turbine jet ARF, the F-14 Twin 40mm EDF, Beechcraft D18, Eratix, and other less common subject matters we've recently and will release in the future.

Or who don't care about the success of your business as long as you provide the specific models THEY want. They seem to think what they want is what everyone wants. They want your sales data to be ignored or they think you're just over there making whatever model catches your fancy today. I believe in capitalism and the profit motive. It pushes to you make what people want enough to buy it. The "That's not the model I wanted, therefore Horizon Hobby are a bunch of idiots and nobody's going to buy this model" approach doesn't carry much weight with me.

I've read the comments, I know the "Timber" planes are best sellers and all of that, but at least spread them out a little, guys, come on. 😏
I understand that from a business prospective you want to have a good ROI with any product you release, but when it looks like every "new" product is a variation of an existing one and one that's been around for years, it's starts to get annoying. And I can't speak for everyone, but I know myself and a lot of people will start to loose interest in the brand as a whole as a result.
Why not revive the 1200mm warbird range and bring back the Spitfire, the P-47 or even go a bit crazy and release a 1200mm P-40N. You know the one with the Shark's teeth... Why not bring back the F-27 Evolution, the Rare Bear Pilon racer or something totally new like a 70 or 80mm Vampire EDF or a smaller 80 or 90mm EDF version of that turbine plane you just launched for those without deep pockets for a turbine. And if you really wanted to drop a twin motor plane, what happened to the 1200mm Twin Otter? 🤔 Missed opportunity, I think...
These are just a few ideas and they're mostly "safe" bets when they compliment existing models and are not just variations of the same thing. And again, I'm not saying you need to stop with the Timbers, just spread them out a bit so it doesn't look like every other release is the "same plane". 😉
@Benson yeah, I get it, and I'm not saying I'm not supporting it, it just FEELS like every 3 months there's a new timber. And I think they know it as well...

We typically release upwards of two dozen new airplane models each year, from ultra micro to giant scale, from trainers and STOL-capable models to warbirds and jets. Around half or more of those are ALL-NEW designs, and the remainder are usually NEW updates/upgrades of previously available models. We try to "sequence" them so we don't announce/release too many updated/upgraded versions of previous models in a row, but that's not always possible...especially for the last few years due to supply chain and other challenges caused by the pandemic.
And if anyone doesn't like our recent, this or any future announcements/releases, they should wait a few weeks to see what the next one is...because it could be COMPLETELY different and something they like/want much more! We've got some ALL-NEW jets, civilian scale, STOL, 3D, sport and other models in the works and coming soon.

The Twin Otter 1.2m was held up for longer than all other models due to vendor/supply chain issues related to the pandemic, but it's back in stock in the US again now and will be back in stock in EU in May :) And we've been reviving/updating/upgrading the 1.2m warbird models over the last few years...but have spread those out to avoid feelings/comments like this ;) Seems very possible the P-47 could be next...

Also, the Viper 90mm is the best sport jet I've ever flown. I love my FMS Futura V3, but the Viper just takes it up a notch. Very well done on that jet. 👌
If you buy a plane like that what else do you need to buy like batteries or remote control . I want to start doing that with my grandson but know nothing about them
This is Not the best first plane, Start with a trainer like the eflite apprentice or carbon cus s2. Go to your local hobby shop and talk with them. They will be more than willing to help you get started.
As philip noted, we do not recommend or market the Twin Timber as a "trainer" model for first-time pilots. It's not really anything like the Twin Otter! It's more like a Turbo Timber Evolution mixed with a Timber X...plus an extra motor :)

We need an optional canopy that is setup for camera/FPV setup! A 3d model of the canopy and/or nose would help the community design our own canopy's to 3d print or CNC cut.
