@@larrylutsky181 This is a BNF Basic version model, as are all of our ultra-micro/UMX models. Some are also sold RTF. But most of our larger models are available in BNF Basic and PNP versions. However, in many cases the BNF Basic version outsells the PNP version by 10:1 - or even upwards of 20:1 - right from the start (because most people prefer/use Spektrum), and after the first year, the PNP sales are almost non-existent (so we usually discontinue the PNP version at that point). In those cases, if you don't like/use Spektrum but would like to fly those models, you can easily remove and sell the Spektrum receiver separately for $50-$70...which saves you even more than the $20-$30 less the PNP version usually is!
You've got a winner! I've been through 3 UMX Turbo Timbers - loved them. Will eventually get this EVO but right now still growing into the UMX Timber X that I recently bought.
I had one and I made the rookie mistake of flying into the sun it flew away and is probably still flying I searched and never found it awesome flyer I ordered another one gonna put a tracker in this one I love it! Great job guys!
Just picked one of these up and I love it. I had the original umx timber for years and it was my absolute favorite rc plane of all time. Here are some things I dream about: UMX Piper Pawnee and another UMX glider to tow UMX King Air with flaps UMX Decathlon
I hope some of the other UMX planes get this turbo treatment, I've always wanted a Turbo UMX Waco, the original had just enough power, can't imagine how fun that plane would be with more power.
@@HorizonHobbyProducts That's a damn exciting reply, I hope you guys realize how much 3s capable UMX Eflite planes is a dream come true. I was considering the UMX Timber X, but If you guys are gonna make a similar UMX Waco X, especially if it's also yellow, I'm literally buying two of those the moment I can place an order through my local hobby shop, that older UMX Waco was so gorgeous and it flew so well for it's size, it really was the perfect UMX. Fantastic... I have the previous version and the new TT Evo now in my favorite colors 😍😍😍 I will be the first ordering one from COSTA RICA PURA VIDA! Thank you @ HorizonHobbyProducts
I used to take my old UMX Turbo Timber off from picnic tables! It was a blast with floats, too until the wind flipped it over after landing and I lost ailerons. They should waterproof this plane.
I really hope eflite brings back the A6 Texan soon because I never had one and it's my favorite airplane warbird ,no one makes that plane ,but eflite can do it.
I bought a float set for UMX twin Otter . Much fun but came apart front right where wires go into float . 1st time haveing any issues with them . Still think UMX ultrix is most fun tho ,
I just got a UMX Turbo Timber for Christmas... Oh well, will have to get another. 😏 Also, any tips on how to steer the little guy on the water? I put floats on mine and man, it's so hard to taxi it for take off and even harder to get it back to shore without going into the reeds by the lake. 😬
@@Backyard_KLX trust me, rudder does 2/3 of f-all. Without an actual rudder in the water (like the big planes do), it's almost impossible to steer this thing. I have a small lake in front of my house which is ideal for small planes like this, but I'm starting to think maybe I should try the UMX Twin Otter with differential thrust to steer on water. 🤔
Just wondering if this can handle decently in mild wind? I have a sport cub S2, love it however I rarely get to fly it due to its extreme inability to deal with even the slightest wind. 5mph & it's like flying in a hurricane. This model, like all of our UMX/ultra-micro class models, weighs less than 250 grams and is exempt from FAA registration and remote ID rules! Also, remote ID is not required to be included with any of the models we sell unless those models weigh 250 grams or more and are “fully” Ready-To-Fly…meaning they include EVERYTHING needed to fly in one box including a transmitter, battery and charger. We stopped having any such “fully” RTF models manufactured mid last year and now only offer RTF Basic (includes a transmitter but no battery and no charger…so they are not required to include remote ID), BNF Basic, PNP and ARF models...none of which must be sold with remote ID. It’s entirely up to users to decide if they need remote ID, which will not be required if they fly at a FRIA or fly models that weigh less than 250 grams, nor are we required to include remote ID with any of the models we sell.

We offered a 1.2m P-39 a few years ago ( ua-cam.com/video/FqN6tBNHoEE/v-deo.html ), and although it may have been the best flying 1.2m warbird model in our lineup -- and a favorite of almost everyone in the office (including Jason: ua-cam.com/video/si_ZBpAeL9M/v-deo.html ) -- it was the lowest volume selling model in that series :( We would like to offer a lot of less common models, but we are running a business so we have to find the right balance between popular and less popular models that still make business sense. Timbers (along with Cubs, P-51s and T-28s!) are always best-sellers and give us the option to offer more unique models like the Beechcraft D18, F-14, Eratix and some other models we’ve released in just the last year alone. Also, please don't forget that just one week ago we announced the ALL-NEW Hangar 9 Aermacchi MB-339 60-85N Turbine Jet which is a giant-scale ARF model ( ua-cam.com/video/TpUHE9cP1Qg/v-deo.html ). And as we've posted in a few other places (the second paragraph being a really good thing to keep in mind!): We typically release upwards of two dozen new airplane models each year, from ultra micro to giant scale, from trainers and STOL-capable models to warbirds and jets. Around half or more of those are ALL-NEW designs, and the remainder are usually NEW updates/upgrades of previously available models. We try to "sequence" them so we don't announce/release too many updated/upgraded versions of previous models in a row, but that's not always possible...especially for the last few years due to supply chain and other challenges caused by the pandemic. And if anyone doesn't like our recent, this or any future announcements/releases, they should wait a few weeks to see what the next one is...because it could be COMPLETELY different and something they like/want much more! We've got some ALL-NEW jets, civilian scale, STOL, 3D, sport and other models in the works and coming soon BTW, these are the models we've released in the last year (and there would have been quite a few more, especially ALL-NEW models, if development/production hadn't been delayed due to the pandemic): ALL-NEW E-flite F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF NEW E-flite A-10 Thunderbolt II Twin 64mm EDF NEW E-flite UMX Pitts NEW E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.2m NEW HobbyZone Carbon Cub S 2 1.3m Chandra Patey Limited Edition NEW E-flite Cirrus SR22T 1.5m NEW E-flite Commander mPd 1.4m NEW E-flite F4U-4 Corsair 1.2m ALL-NEW E-flite UMX Timber X ALL-NEW E-flite Habu SS 50mm EDF ALL-NEW E-fllite Beechcraft D18 1.5m NEW E-flite F-16 Thunderbirds 80mm EDF NEW Hangar 9 Fun Scale PT-19 PNP NEW E-flite UMX P-51D Voodoo ALL-NEW E-flite Eratix 3D FF (Flat Foamy) 860mm ALL-NEW E-flite UMX Twin Otter NEW E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.2m "Cripes A'Mighty 3rd" ALL-NEW Tower Hobbies ASW 28 2.0m NEW E-flite Carbon-Z T-28 Trojan 2.0m ALL-NEW Hangar 9 Pawnee Brave 20cc, 87" ARF ALL-NEW E-flite Slow Ultra Stick 1.2m ALL-NEW Hangar 9 Aermacchi MB-339 60-85N Turbine Jet, 84” ARF NEW E-flite UMX Turbo Timber Evolution ALL-NEW E-flite ???

Jason also covers the following, and much more, in this BEHIND THE SCENES video: ua-cam.com/video/4K_bv-mRT78/v-deo.html
- Why do we keep offering/introducing so many Cubs, Timbers, T-28s and P-51s starting around the 29:30 mark
- That we also offer/introduce models that are not Cubs, Timbers, T-28s and P-51s starting around the 29:45 mark
Was hoping for something original. Is that a thing of the past. 😢
Although I love the 2 meter T28 I just got 😊
Not at all! Please don't forget that just one week ago we announced the ALL-NEW Hangar 9 Aermacchi MB-339 60-85N Turbine Jet which is a giant-scale ARF model ( ua-cam.com/video/TpUHE9cP1Qg/v-deo.html ). Also, as we've posted in a few other places (the second paragraph being a really good thing to keep in mind!):
We typically release upwards of two dozen new airplane models each year, from ultra micro to giant scale, from trainers and STOL-capable models to warbirds and jets.
We've got some ALL-NEW jets, civilian scale, STOL, 3D, sport and other models in the works and coming soon
BTW, these are the models we've released in the last year (and there would have been quite a few more, especially ALL-NEW models, if development/production hadn't been delayed due to the pandemic):
