Among Tejano music greats Cha Cha Jimenez is there. Originally form Kingsville Texas, born in 1947 as Abelardo Jimenez, he became a popular figure in la onda Tejana having played early with El Conjunto Bernal and after a tour in the army and service in Vietnam combat and recieving a combination of 13 medals and ribbons and the rank of sergeant returned to el valle to form his famous group 'Los chachos' and tons of dancing hits with stylized vocals and harmonies. A Tejano Music legend that made many happy and fall in love at los bailes.
@@joemartinez2660 Oskar Hernandez played a Cordovox Chromatic Accordian también. It was a regular Accordian with reeds that had a separate “tone generator” that hooked up to the Accordian with a thick cable that gave the player organ tones.Cordovox also made rotary speakers similar in sound to a Leslie speaker. Here’s a link of Oskar playing one on a recording; ua-cam.com/video/PfciG-l-rXM/v-deo.html
Los Chacon’s were the best in Tejano music. Is there a group that plays like them? I’d like to see them perform At the Sacramento Tejano conjunto festival Labor Day weekend
I grew up with this Style of Music, and I will cherish it all my life !!
Que hermosura de música. Norteña sabrosa y dulzona y con acordes de jazz. Mucha calidad. Esto fue único.
