259 is what would happen if Biohazard and nightmare had a child
A big shame that 259 broke down in the last twelve seconds during its battle against Wild Thing, had there been a shield for the weapon chain, he could have gone rather far.
259 vs. Fluffy reminds me of Aftershock vs. Carbide!
259, the original Afterflop.
Adam H yeah not good against horizontal bars either, especially given how big the disc is.
TheStrongestBaka afterflop?
I feel like Carbide is what Fluffy could have been if it was better engineered
i love how jonathon peirce is 5 minutes too late with the obvious. eg with the belt coming off 259 against wild thing
Liked 259, but didn't see enough of it. Too bad he went against fluffy, horizontal spinners almost always beats out verticals.
longrod vonhughendong its kind of the opposite unless the verticle cant stand up to a horizontal (like aftershock being destroyed by carbide) the reason why it got destroyed here was disc vs bar, where the the bar will usually beat a disc of the opposite type
longrod vonhughendong on the other hand 259 was juggling wild thing as if it were electric boogaloo
Unless the verticals are armed with feeder wedges.
2:52 HELLO?! JONATHON!!! Are You Blind? Thats The Pit Button, Not A Grinder! It Has Words On It!
This looks like Deep Six’s British great-grandfather
Coming from watching Series 5 and 7 videos, it honestly surprises me how darker the lighting was in Series 6
Cyclone 2 would soon be inspired by Adam Clark to build 259.
259 the love child of BioHazard and nightmare
I think it's a shame that 259 wasn't "saved by the bell" against Wild Thing. Would've been interesting to seen how the Judges decided the fight in that circumstance
Why didnt he put housing on the belt?
Pepe the frog - Wasn't wearing his FPV hindsight goggles...
That would have put it above the weight limit.
259 was so badly robbed against Wild Thing
they were immobolized at the end of the battle. the judges made a split decision.
If Nightmare and Biohazard had a child this happens
Would love to see adam clark return with a modernized version of this beast, its a shame like the robot is took notes form cyclone and nightmare it was a glass cannon
Still my favourite bad robot of all time.
A circular saw on wheels.
259 needs a balance between armor and part integrity. Idiot choice with rubber belts and loose chains. Bicycles had that issue fixed years ago by adding a chain guard so even if the chain slipped off a tooth, the guard would prevent it from coming off.
259+259=Counter Revolution
That was an unbelievably fragile bot!
259 is an improved nughtmare
Pity they don't do this complete destruction of the losing robots anymore.
Kas van 't Land - It's all well and good... as long as someone else is picking up the bill! Unlike in Battlebots, sponsors are virtually unknown in Robot Wars, and the TV company doesn't offer a penny of cash support. When it's all your money, total destruction (after the fight has actually ended, of course) is just really, really depressing. Kind of like standing in the bathroom, flushing £50 notes down the toilet. Yes, it makes the kiddies laugh, but there's zero incentive to build another bot unless you're very rich.
Yknow if only 259 had a feeder wedge.
14:05, i think two things couldve happened here (not either one did, we know which one im listing the possibilities) either the gaurd would smash into the wheel causing issues or the drive belt would work loose.... or the gaurd would be destroyed so three things but we know while one happened
What are the rules in terms of the robots Construction?
Why not build one like the house robots?
Weight limit around 100kg
@@evilpolkadot Specifically 100kg at this point, was 80kg for some previous series and 110kg for the 2010s revival.
Should of gone for a chain rather than belt drive, would of proved better
With mods it cud be amazing
14:27.
And you're done.
3:29 Is that superkai64?
It looks like nightmare
259 is built like a childs project that dad helped but neither has true engineering skills... it's cool but not built to withstand much... a horizontal spinner of course would destroy it in one or two hits.
259 has too many teeth and they are too small, it needs bigger fewer teeth
Razer would have lost
the spinner is too slow and needs to be smaller so it can be much more effective. also the armour sucks really bad. good idea but terrible realization, an engineering shame.
Me: What if Hypnodisc had a vertical spinner?
259:
If any one knows where 259 is i want to buy it
That guy that made wild things daughter looks like she'd be a wild thing in the bedroom. Probably not anymore.. but she did when this was filmed.
She was 15 when this was filmed you psychopath
12:53 that girl is fucking creepy.....
259....top 5 lamest/weak bots ever
Vertical spinners are so cool but they always break down :(
