I was pulling for Navarrete but i have to say he got help by the ref when he got knocked down!! The count was too long ... Respect to both fighters it was a great fight...
Not a long count but navarrete exploited the rules, he spat out his mouthguard to give himself more time. But even then he was already up before the 8 count

I saw someone write that from the time his hand hit the ground it was more than ten seconds before he got up. How do so many people have such a poor understanding of in fight dynamics. I'll point out as well that Wilson punched him after his hand hit the ground and that gets factored in. Did he sneak himself in extra time ? Yes. Did the ref do a great job in the situation? No.
