I love the fact that you are honoring your grandpa that way. It may be wishful thinking, but it would be logical for those next two kits to be a Lee and a Grant. One US, one UK, and not Shermans. Of course they could be a Pershing and a Matilda for all I know (and the Matilda would be crazy and great), but I feel pretty good about the guess. I'm looking forward to finding out!
I am a long time 35th armor builder, been thinking about trying 1/16th...been looking at your original Sherman decided i was going to order it this weekend, well watched this video last night. So I got off work this morning got on line and bought the new Sherman and additional commander figure from the first kit and it was shipped 5 hrs later...That is why i buy so much of my kits and upgrades from Andy....Great work brother...really want to get the Das Werks Stug III when it comes back in stock..
Was hoping for something completely different and new. However I totally understand getting the maximum usage from the existing molds. I will support Andy and his venture. Love the new figure too. Ordered
Thanks Andy ...another great kit, and video. Thank you. I really like the workable tracks, and the figure of your Grandfather. Also congratulations on having a build article of your first Sherman in the latest Tamiya Model Magazine!
Cannot understand why TAMIYA discontinued the ABRAMS 1/16 Full option RC Kit. This machine is so much in the headlines and a favourite of many armour fans.
Because of you, Andy, I’m getting back in the model building. I’m 64 years old. The last time I built a model Richard Nixon was president. I’ve ordered an airbrush compressor air brush that paints the whole 9 yards.
Looks amazing Andy, another great kit and video, thank you. Plan is to swing through Phoenix area mid June, very excited about visiting your shop and stimulating the economy!
A really great kit, Just built and painted mine. Only one slight gripe the decals are a bit fragile so be gentle with them if you are tackling this one.
One almost wonders if there is a market for a plastic turntable to display these larger kits. Thinking of the 1/16 armor and also the 1/32 aircraft like the many Wingnut Wings kits being built.
Very impressive. I definitely am going to get the figure...not sure about the tank, but l won't say "no." Definitely interested in what is coming for the summer. Thanks again Andy
Damn, that devil's face looks epic. I'm not a fan of shermans, but this one looks really nice. Also Andy, you should start doing the entire "banana for scale" thing. The moment you touched the model with your palm, I realized how big this thing is :D
Very nice indeed - I am going to pass on this one nice as having another shermie will be I have the original. Looking forward to the two new kits which are not Sherman’s. Tiger 1 is going well love the build I’m not a tiger 1 nut but it is a great kit and I’m really enjoying. I would love to see a King Tiger please. Cudos to Jason as well for the work he’s undertaken on this work
What a great tribute. What a killer option for Sherman lovers. I can’t tell you how much I love the 1/16th scale kits, especially mat 56 years old lol. Congrats on the new kit! Hopefully there’s a certain German kit coming in the future with a Jagd in its name 😉. Keep ‘em coming! BTW, my wife said stop! I don’t need anymore kits lol!
My wife looks at my kit collection and just shakes her head. It is now getting harder and harder to sneak new kits through the door. Never mind, my daughter gave me a badge that reads ‘I am the boss around here’ for my birthday, and I guess I’ll have to start wearing it just to take my wife’s attention away from my hobby. It may or may not be worth it - time will tell.
@@garylawless3608 I am lucky that I do not have to sneak kits in. My wife has built a couple and has a small stash of her own. She has her other hobbies so it works out between us. However she still say 'you do not need another model kit' from time to time.😊😊
Still watching the vid, but wanted to comment on the track construction :) I recently designed the t80 and t84 tracks for a friend that was building your kit. It took me a couple of weeks and multiple prints to figure out how they connect and fit to your kit, I'm glad to see that my design is so similar to yours :) Even when we finally put them on the kit, I kept wondering if there was a better way. (edited to add the t84 type)
It would be great if the aftermarket companies would come up with some metal track upgrades for your kits. I just finished building the first Sherman and it is going through paint right now. I went with the "OH NUTS" version with the mantlet in place. The kit built up so well, I had a great time working on it. The tracks on that kit were 462 pieces and if this new kit is more, that's a big undertaking. But it's the nature of the beast. Looking forward to getting the new kit.
Thank you Andy ! .....just went on your site and ordered MINE 🤣 ...... I've gotten back into 1/18 scale in the last few months ( Armor, figures, trucks ) and this Easy Eight is a welcome addition to the collection ...... big 👍up ! 😁👍❤🇺🇸
Nice! Already have the original release and I am not a Sherman super-fan (although those paint schemes from Korea are very tempting!). I am guessing a T-34, and another German tank as they are good money makers and in demand, but could be wrong :).
Yes I would get those tracks, the tracks for the first one were a bear to put together and if you look at them wrong mine pop apart no matter what I do to them
Andy, great looking kit. Was looking at the build up photos and noticed that the carrier film on the markings was basically non existent. Are these the type of decals that allow you to remove the carrier film once the decal is in place? BTW, beautiful tribute to your grandfather. Maybe, someday, 3D printing technology will be able to scan a photo and print out a figure of your choice.
Hi Andy, that is another excellent kit from your company, and I can see you going from strength to strength, how about a Isreali Super Sherman? Best regards from Australia 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Andy. this new kit is very cool! I hope the next kit will be A S.P.G.! we can not forget about Arty! just saying. So nice job keep making very cool models!
I agree. Open top AFVs would be a ton of fun. e.g. for German armour, the Nashorn, Hummel, Wespe, Marder, etc. Also, a 2-in-1 kit that allows one to choose between the Priest & the Sexton would be amazing!
I have to say, Andy that this looks epic! 👍🏻👍🏻 As we’re not going to get a British Sherman in the summer, I’m now kinda hoping that you’ll give us a high quality, M3 Stuart / Honey? 😜 The Honey was a well loved tank because it was reliable in operation and had a cool interior environment...apparently the radial engine drew air through the tank, which made it a comfortable, desert battle wagon...it’ll look absolutely ace in the “Caunter” camo lay out.....as will a Matilda of course.....😎🤪😂😂😂 Thanks, you’re setting the standard, Andy......👍🏻👍🏻❤️
Thanks for this video. I start this model yesterday. I have question. Can we put white star decals on Winter wersion?? I plan bulid in half white paint missing.
Is there any way to upgrade the original Sherman kit with the addition parts / stickers that come with this kit? I purchased the original one just this week not knowing this was available.
Andy, please release a 1/16 Late Tiger I with steel road wheels and periscope cupola, like the ones that fought in Normandy. I don’t think ANY model company has ever released a Late Tiger in 1/16. You could be the FIRST!
Looks like this baby can be motorized. I bought a Tamiya King Tiger probably in the late 90's, anyway it had a single motor and a crappy clutch system. Needless to say I bought a matching motor, and 2 Tamiya planetary gear kits for of course the drives, a Tamiya EMD unit and something else. Well it was fun re-engineering the model, problem was the 26 mile round trip to my favorite Hobby Shop, "Fields Hobby Center" Union Rd. Cheektowaga, NY.
Great looking kit. May pass as I have the first Sherman and I'm simply running out of room. Looking forward to the next 2 though, hoping for a Lee and Grant for those. Wish list for future 1/16th - Panzer IV, Stuart, and something from WWI, maybe an A7V. Or a 1/16th scale armored car like the Lanchester or Rolls Royce.
Andy what a great way to honour your grandfather. 👍👍
Holding out for the Andys HHQ 1/16 King Tiger with Zimmeritt.🤔🤞🤞🤞
There's a build of the first Sherman release in the newest issue of Tamiya Modelling Magazine. Painting and weathering is coming in the next issue.
Thank you for adding a figure! More please! How about tank riders as a kit?
I love the fact that you are honoring your grandpa that way.
It may be wishful thinking, but it would be logical for those next two kits to be a Lee and a Grant. One US, one UK, and not Shermans. Of course they could be a Pershing and a Matilda for all I know (and the Matilda would be crazy and great), but I feel pretty good about the guess. I'm looking forward to finding out!
Matilda would be great! It's british and somehow the "mother of tiger 1" Churchill is too large
Please please not a pershing.
@@TheHateSpeechChannel and please no lee/grant.
A SCREAMING MIMI Would Be SPECTACULAR 🎯💯%
Since we’ve gotten all this WW2 armor in 1/16, we need some love with modern armor! A Leopard 2A6 would be so cool.
Would love a full interior kit of this tank in 1/16 scale
This!
"Keep on runnin..." is what come to mind..😊
Very nice Andy😎😎👍👍nice tribute to your grandfather thankyou for your service we need more people like him.

Thanks Andy ...another great kit, and video. Thank you. I really like the workable tracks, and the figure of your Grandfather. Also congratulations on having a build article of your first Sherman in the latest Tamiya Model Magazine!
Please do a 1/16 2 and half track with the four 50 cals . Thanks Andy .
THAT Would Be Nice 👍👍
Just placed my order for this Sherman M4A3E8. Looking forward to receiving it soon. Cheers!
I find it great that you were honouring your grand father together with with such a lovely "easy eight"! Looking forward for your new models 👍👍
what an amazing way to honour your grandfather - superb👍👍👍👍

Andy, all this is great. I'm gonna start saving some money so I can buy all of your 1/16 kits.
Lovely kit and to have your very brave grandad modelled into the kit is amazing ❤
Great kit would like to see an Elfant in 1/16th or a Jagdpanther.
Looks amazing Andy, another great kit and video, thank you. Plan is to swing through Phoenix area mid June, very excited about visiting your shop and stimulating the economy!
Wonderful kit and a lovely way to honour your grandfather.
A really great kit, Just built and painted mine. Only one slight gripe the decals are a bit fragile so be gentle with them if you are tackling this one.
Hoping for a Matilda tank.. Or Crusader.. 😊
A Matilda or Churchill would rock!
Love me a nice Sherman, but in 1/16 it's double the fun! Amazing stuff, you made your grandpa proud no doubt!
One almost wonders if there is a market for a plastic turntable to display these larger kits. Thinking of the 1/16 armor and also the 1/32 aircraft like the many Wingnut Wings kits being built.
Fine job building the kit with excellent paint and weathering.
Well crud, I would have waited for this one to have these added options......
Figure story is a nice touch. We'll done
Thank you !
Very impressive. I definitely am going to get the figure...not sure about the tank, but l won't say "no." Definitely interested in what is coming for the summer. Thanks again Andy

Hey Andy, it would be Great if the new tracks were available to purchase, stand alone, as well as the figure! Thanks for the interesting kits!
figure is available stand alone now
Just ordered this kit from BNA in Australia. Cant wait!
My wishful thinking is a Cromwell tank for a Brit subject.
I'd liked to have seen how you painted and weather that! It's awesome!
Very nice indeed - I am going to pass on this one nice as having another shermie will be I have the original.

i agree! how about a soft skin vehicle half track or truck?
@@drhank2020 totally agree a nice Duce and a half from the red ball express
Awesome way to restock and give some much requested options at the same time!
I wish there were 1/16 scale infantry kits for making dioramas with kits like this and the tiger
Andy great looking kit fantastic Steve
How cool of a kit and a "Grand" figure as well!!!

Happy for you man and love your enthusiasm!
I sure hope the next vehicles are lee and grant tanks!! Would make sense being a US and British afv.
Oh wow, looks like a nice kit!!! 👍👍
Can we get a 1/35 kit next year?
I am from Taiwan. I envy all the hobby friends here in the States.

With a beret added you could also use the figure for a Korean war British Royal Marine, they used full US uniform, kit and weapons
It looks amazing, I will have to save up to get one.
I think 1/16th is so much better than 1/35th, et al. Just the heft, the detail, everything about that size kit is so much more appealing.

What a beautiful kit! Wow!!
I was on the fence about ordering this kit, after seeing this video i'm putting in my order. Keep up the awesome reviews
Gosh darnit! Now I have to purchase this kit as well! ❤
Thanks Andy- I really wanted a Korean War version- Perfect
We need a GMC and Dodge Truck next!
Any chance there's going to be a release of a M113??? That would certainly cover the Vietnam era Infantry vehicle's as well as the Cold award era...
That would be AWESOME with an interior.... The Command Version perhaps. Maybe a 1/16th Bradley with interior. 1/16 Hummer...😊
You've got your Grandfather's nose... Respect
Here we go again!!

That’s is a fabulous pose for the figure!
Another Andy's awesomeness!

Thanks for this video. I start this model yesterday. I have question. Can we put white star decals on Winter wersion?? I plan bulid in half white paint missing.
The next 2, maybe (Being from Takom) Lee and Grant but I like to see M24 Chaffee and A34 Comet!
Hello Andy's Hobby Headquarters ı am just wondering do you ship to Turkey?
Wait a second, you build these kits yourself???? Man I just found you, and I'm loving this

Holy cow, lookit the size of that box. Hey Andy, are you a fan of Star Trek, and if so, did you watch the latest series of Picard ??
I would love an M60-A1 USMC tank with reactive armor and a mineplow in 1/16th scale so I could build my tank from Desert Storm.
A 1/16th scale Centurion would be great to compete with the ultra-pricey Tamiya model.
I'd like to see a M4A1(76)W. I'd like to do a In The Mood for Lafayette Poole.
is the red face a decal?

Andy you need to do a Firefly with the 60lb tulip bombs as used by the British Guards Armoured Division
Stuart and Comet maybe
I wonder if that front paint scheme would be more durable if it were painted on with stencil
Great tribute Andy!
I know it is a 0% chance of happening, but i NEED a 1/16 scale Challenger 2 (model kit (not RC))
The chance is way higher than that. We already have an Abrams, Leopard and T-72. It will come.
Not Sherman, maybe M 10 for commonality of drivetrain parts
So this kit also includes the early version tracks?
No just the T80 Tracks
Me gustan los detalles, me encanta esa escala 1/16 - y Te quedo muy bueno.
Love the kit!
