@@hellophoenix instead of saying red white or rosé on the bottle, it will say "Vinho verde". I don't know if you are in Portugal ? Brands you may get outside Portugal are "O Gato" or "Lancers". In Portugal there are lots of different wineries that make vinho verde, especially in the north where it is mostly made.

Yes I did! This was a great exercise, so useful its amazing! I also slowed the playback down a bit which also helped. All I would say is can we have the transcript please? My understanding is that if the captions are correct then the transcript should be available from UA-cam by the publisher. I will certainly be using this again, and again! Probably also the wines and port ;)

I listened without the subtitles first , then checked the English. Very pleased with myself that I understood about 95% of it !! Sergio did speak very slowly and clearly though. I even caught his joke about 9 months of winter and 3 months of hell. Glad you had a fabulous weekend .

    This video is brilliant! Why?
    1. The speaker is clearly pronouncing all the words, even if some of them are shortened or ALMOST undetectable. As a result, we can understand a lot.
    2. The speaker is standing in front of us, and talking to us with no judgement about our Portuguese ability level. There’s no need to feel nervous!
    3. The topic has been narrowed down so much, that it’s easy to guess what is being said. And, the number of difficult words are held down to a minimum and they are repeated, so we can remember them.
    4. We can enjoy the lovely Portuguese scenery.
    5. We can learn something about Portugal’s wine industry.
    6. We can get to know a native Portuguese speaker.

I've been practicing listening to Portuguese mainly Brazilian, but I live in Spain and have been to Porto and Lisboa, I love them cities, I had such a great time in both of them. I'm self-taught and I thought I spoke a bit of Portuguese, enough to make myself understood, but gosh was I shocked my first time in Lisboa, I tried to talk to a waiter and didn't catch anything he was saying, his sotaque was so different, now I'm happy I kept practicing I was able to understand the whole video, and it keeps getting better. Congrats on the great job! Parabéns e muito obrigado 😗

Já agora o vinho do Porto, mesmo com esse nome, não é precisamente do Porto. O vinho envelhece em adegas na outra margem do rio Douro na cidade de Vila Nova de Gaia, à frente do Porto.
