剛開始是老闆娘的女兒對一次性口罩的材質過敏，出門不帶又不安心，所以才想到這個方法。
後來是口罩真的缺到一個不行，才又想到教大家做這個應急一下！
布的外層要常清洗，所以建議多做幾個，
也請記得拿出及放口罩時，也要記得手洗乾淨後小心放置！

Today Rudy Yeh will be teaching us how to sew a mask cover. As she said, she saw in TV news that the doctor say we can also wear surgery mask with cotton fabric to keep the surgery mask usage lower.
@1:44 she was going to teach everyone how to draw the mask cover pattern. but because adult size and kids size is different therefore you will require to know how to draw.
@2:15 first you will have to take your mask and pull it to max and you will get the mask maximum curve shape. Then you just do a rough draw first. Which after you will have to get the middle point and try to make both top and bottom same height. The opening part (side of the mask) should curve inwards as it will make the cover more fitting.
@3:31 remember to do 0.50cm of seam allowance all round of the pattern. @3:41 she explain that because her daughter has skin allergies so they have already tried using this for a whole day which no problem at all.
@3:51 first take your inter layout, wrong side facing together and sew on the biggest curve area first. Same step with your outer layout too. After that we have have to double fold hem both side of the fabric (inter and outer fabric). When doing this double fold hem remember to make it abit curve.
Next we can prepare some velcro (small ones will do. 1cm square size will do). We can find the middle line of the side and sew the velcro on. Once you are done with the velcro sewing, we can then take both fabric (right size facing together) and sew top and bottom up. When reaching the middle seam part, you can open up the fabric to have better sewing effect? I guess i can translate this way? Hahaha..
She mention remember to do backstitch on every start of the sewing seam.
Once you done sewing bottom and top, you can flip it to right side and do top stitch for both top and bottom.
Steps to put in the surgery mask:
1. Half the mask in half and put it into the fabric cover. Remember not to touch the surgery mask inter side.
2. Once inside the cover then you can start shaping it. Because of the side curve and once you close up it will become a straight line.
After you done using it, to remove also same step but remember to fold the surgery mask back in half and remove from the fabric cover. Same thing is that dont touch the inter side.
As for mask cover, you can wash it and reuse after its dry.
Lastly we hope that by doing this mask cover we can reduce usage of surgery mask and give those who really needed to use. Of cause we hope that those with higher hygiene level personal dont come and flame us as this is really jus another way of reduce mask usage.
For fabric material remember to choose 100% cotton as its breathable. How to know if its 100% cotton is by doing burn test. 100% cotton will continue burn and the fabric will have ashes and white smoke shown @17:06.
double gauze fabric is also recommended as its commonly use for baby fabric.
@20:25 she also included the pattern size she use of cause its just a reference you can adjust accordingly. But remember to add seam allowance!
From me: Last but not more, i know my english standard is not the great as well but i really hope this helps abit as some might not be able to understand fully and i use some of the common sewing term for sewers. Thank you!

Usually I get what she sews because of her 'hands on' approach with a very visual and step by step process. Anyhow, your translation helps to get an idea of the direction it will have. I'm faster reading than watching, I guess.
I recently used a one-use mask and realized that it was helpful, for my allergy symthoms, but with them being sold out everywhere I'd rather have a reusable version and leave the one-use for those who have a more vulnerable condition than mine.

照着老师的步骤，我自己也手缝了一个口罩套子，很有成就感。一次性口罩经过每天酒精消毒，里面过滤片坏了，我就放咖啡过滤纸进去，厨房纸巾，湿纸巾凉干了，纱布都可以... 自己发挥吧。棉布套子每天清洗，香喷喷的，戴着感觉舒服又放心。一个口罩走天下了，非常时期，终于不用为买不到口罩发愁了！太感恩老师母女俩了！
魔鬼粘: velcro tape; magic tape
鈎面: hook (刺刺那一面)
毛面: loop

分享一下香港的報導，提到對摺口罩會因細菌交叉感染而失去效用，經醫生認同以下是不得意重用口罩的收納方法，口罩解下來後直接用廚房紙或有點厚度的清潔紙張放平把口罩平整包起，這樣會比較好抓，不會直接接觸到口罩，再放進清潔的信封內，紙質會吸收因呼吸而潮濕的口罩，讓口罩乾燥維持較好效能，口罩踫到水份也會失效，消毒液也最好不要，再次使用時包裹過的紙和信封可以處理掉，下次換新的收納。
