know him personally. his drummer married my friend. I used to think he was scary until I met him, and he is a very nice man and he was in plain clothes and very polite. he became one of my favorite people and this is still one of my favorite songs. I like listening to little Manson today
Im staying in a dorm Everytime i play it Landlord wants to kick me out And they say its a democracy Old man cant hear shit or open his motherfucking If it questions the way hes lived for 60 years
My dad told me a story of how. when he was younger living in an apartment, he had these really loud speakers which we still have. One night, these people down the hall were having a party and blasting their rap louder than anybody needed to hear. He asked them to stop but they refused, so he called up his best friend to this day across the street. He asked him to borrow his Marilyn Manson CD and his friend happily obliged. So my dad runs over and gets the CD, then return to the apartment and places the speakers in the windows and in the hallway. He changed into clothes that were all white and placed candles in the windows with the lights off. He then popped the disc in, turned on THIS song and turned it up max volume. The partiers left quickly, yes, but when they saw who was playing the music, they left quicker. Gotta love when your parents have a demented mind. :D \m/
I remember seeing a little girl and her mother waking up to my house because i was blasting this. the mother was angry as hell but the little girl was swaying and smiled, nodding her head along with the music.so when they went to go leave I went up to the little girl and asked if she liked it. she nodded her head and I gave her my mechanical animal album. :) made my day to see someone so young like his music.
@@TabooX1984 (i think he did and that's why he wrote em, people have seen the trajectory for a long time. the pushback against him at the time was about way more than kids wearing black and being disrespectful, despite the image they portrayed)

Next year they should have fully functioning AC in Hell and it should be a lovely place to visit for a day or two, there will be theme rides like at the local carnivals and such. His personal favorite is the "Slingshot to Heaven" it's going to shoot you up to the gates of Heaven just so you can flip the bird to the hypocrites and then when you get back to hell you land in a big fluffy net, greeted by puppies and kittens!
The first Manson song I ever heard, sooo many years ago and fell totally in love with it (and Manson) right away. Thank you Manson, for all your amazing music through all these years. Manson fan for life!!
I've been reading all the mean things in the comments about Marilyn Manson. He's just a singer/songwriter & it's just a song. Doesn't mean you're demonic or hellish for listening to it. I listen to Rob Zombie & im not demonic I love his metal music. I love metal music & rock music.
Sayes more about them than about you guys! Just pity the fool, don't talk the talk if you didn't walk the walk. Prejudice is for apes and all other animals who can't speak.
I don't get why people who don't like him are even on this video to begin with. Some people just like to stir the pot. I hate pop music, but you don't see me clicking on Katy Perry songs just to run my mouth
I remember when I was younger I didn't want to listen to Marilyn because I thought he was fucked up/weird...now I love him because he's fucked up/weird XD
Same! From around 9-11 my mother fed into my head that he was some freak satanist but I've just recently started really getting into his music and I love it. He's truly a work of art.
Just because a music sounds like this doesn't mean that is from the devil... i mean listen to these lyrics! It inspires people and helps them. I mean is just music.
Im 31 and a Hip Hop fan since birth lol. And Im just discovering this type of music and I must say that im motherfucking blown away. I can remember as a kid these music videos coming on MTV (and Beavis and Butthead of course) and i would just change the channel lol. Marilyn Manson is a legend! I never really used to listen to his music when I was going through my stage of liking rock music. I always used to think he was a freak that wore make-up and now I realise how stupid I was cause he's actually quite intelligent and makes awesome music
I love Marilyn Manson! I love his music what I grew up listening to along with many others. Also everyone that comments on this makes me laugh 🤣🤣🤣 still coming after a comment from 9 years ago 🤣
Eh, Charles Manson was unique - so was Hitler. Bent spoons are more unique than straight ones; the only thing that makes them interesting to society is the fact that they stand out, It's not particularly because of their usefulness. Brian Warner, or Marilyn Manson as most people know him, is just another confused person floating around in the world. Only thing special about him is a couple decent songs and some kickin' instrumental. Not a psychopath, maybe a sociopath; the creepiest thing about this guy is his arrogant ignorance
I listen to Slipknot and Avenged Sevenfold. Mum told me not to listen "to that shit", so now I'm going to get heaps of this sort of stuff and death metal. After my parents hear this, Slipknot and A7x will seem like classical music! XD
It's funny because this song seems to actually have more of a positive message than anything else, I don't get where all of the bullshit comes from. Granted, I haven't listened to much of his other work, but still, if any of it is like this in terms of clever lyrics, then it's the typical case of people simply not listening and jumping to conclusions. Alkaline Trio's lyrics work the same way, they sound all cheery and have a great rhythm that just makes you go like 'hey yeah I can get behind this' and then you realize it's about drowning or heavy drinking problems or suicide and the entire message and feel of the song changes. Love this kind of shit.

When he says "Capitalism has made it this way. Old fashioned fascism will take it away" It just sticks with me. Was it a threat or a warning?
