It makes more sense as they both portrayed to be super human. And rules would get in the way. Plus, Taker just had a Hell In A Cell and a Casket Match with Shawn Michaels. And both matches it developed the story with Kane.
Nope, the real issue is both guys are big men over 300 and 6'9 at least, and they have similar wrestling style in the ring. Thats mainly why they lack chemistry together.
Also I think kane losing to Undertaker at mania and then on the next ppv in an inferno match really made him look like a lesser star than Undertaker right from the start. Though I understand that the main goal for debuting the Kane character in the start was for him to lose to Undertaker at mania and then vanish away.

Tatanka v hbk at WM9 was a pretty darn good match. The show as a whole, the venue and sherri/luna thing brought it down. But the actual match was really really good I think. They could have worked together some more.

Ric Flair had bad matches with lots of guys, Hulk Hogan, Eddie Guerrero, Scotty Steiner. Ric always worked a certain style and not everybody could have a great match with him.
Then again it worked with most guys and helped get good matches out of otherwise sub-par opponents. Hogan for example was always shit, so his matches with Flair are actually some of his best. Can't remember the Steiner matches though.

The same thing can be said for Eddie Gerrero, he couldn't work Eddie's complex wrestling style. He could only give you an early 1980s Ric Flair match. That being said he made the most out of the raw athletic potential of Lex Luger and Sting who were never fans to begin with. Hogan as most marks will tell you had his best matches in Japan.

Undertaker vs Kane was great. But everyone else highly agree with. I think chemistry is also about storytelling in this format. Most great matches/stories pit polar opposites or similar characters against each other. Certain guys don't share the same space. Method Man and Limp Bizcuit, great, similar characters in different genres but it feels like they would cross each other. But Method Man and Macklemore would be terrible, same genre not opposite and don't share character traits. Yet Macklemore and Common would work.
I have to disagree with Jeff and Matt on this list. All their matches in Impact, especially their Full Metal Mayhem match, were amazing! Their chemisty was just fine, WWE just couldn't deliver with them. They keep a tight leash on there stars and dont really give them too much creative freedom during matches (unless your one of their legends or AJ Styles). Impact saw the fact that these two could do glorious things when they put their own minds to work, just like they used to in their backyard, and just let them take the wheel. So it wasnt their chemistry with each other that was bad, it was the fact that WWE just didn't let them have their fun.
it isnt about goldberg having no chemistry with people, it is about the fact that the guy cannot wrestle. he had zero chemistry with anyone and probably the best wrestling match he ever had was with DDP. wrestling had moved on by the time goldberg came to the wwe. people expected their top matches to be high quality by then and goldberg could never, ever achieve that.
Yeah putting Goldberg in here was kinda against the title of the video. The only reason why his 2016 run was more entertaining than his 2003 one is that by this point he was a nostalgia attraction and not a real roster member.
