This kid has an amazing style. His strokes are so smooth and fluent. Especially his backhand topspin and banana flick. He also has faster reaction and fast footwork. His reaction time is also good and knows how to place there ball well and seldom make mistakes.
Lin Yun-Ju makes Ma Long and Fang Zhendong look slow and frustrated. Amazing how fast and how much Lin has come along in such a short time. And he is only 17 year-old!

@@pureskill4457 Do you play table tennis ? Why you say that this BIG T2 event is faked, 4 players faked a loss ??Could you explain something i dont know here ?
German Big yeah, but now CNT just has so many players whom they need to analyse, and if they got some results, who can remember. I sometimes forgot how to solve an interview question that I have practiced for many times.
This kid is the real talent. It's like he was born to play table tennis with that incredible touch. Hope he could go further and be the terminator of the TT China dominance.
Starting from this day, all top players will watch his videos. In my opinion, there was no good left handed players with technics, shots and moves. I am your big fan, young man, good luck!
We are witnessing the rising of a potential table tennis king!Although he didn't win a medal in men's singles of Tokyo Olympics, he will definitely become the best player in the near future🙂
5:21 yeah I'll just chop block FZD. This kid is unreal. I can't see how he is doing anything different from other players except.....consistency. The point at 5:49 shows that he plays strategy at a high level - every shot was purposeful and executed brilliantly.
This is surely LYJ's coming out party. Now the question is, what is next? Can he continue to improve. Remember Miu Hirano's coming out party at the Japan open a few years back? China disected her after and she's been a non-factor ever since. Now, I think what makes this kid special is his temperment, even when he is doing impossible things to ML and FZD, he doesn't seem to get too excited. That is a special talent.
To be fair Miu Hirano does seem to be finally improving a bit if you look at her recent results against China. Yes, she still loses most of the time but she manages to take a few sets compared to last year when she always lost 4:0.
LYJ has big potential! I'm just scared he's a Miu Hirano 2.0. The chinese will study his game, and he might not be as dominant next tournament, but let's see. He's clearly extremely skilled, and his strokes are super smooth, you gotta give that to him. Wonderful player with a bright future. I just cannot predict LYJ to take more titles in the near future.
They'll definitely study his game, but remember he's not the only one who gave them trouble in the last couple of weeks, Patrick, Hugo and Simon have all become a force to recon with.
Compared to Hrimoto, he seems a lot more elegant and at ease...no screaming at every point..nor getting upset with a crybaby face when losing a point. He is so smooth with his shots and seems to defend and attack with ease when playing against top players like ML n FZD.. its amazing. Looking forward to seeing how ML n FZD adjusts in the next matches. Im sure they they couldnt sleep well after their games. :)
Sports everyone has a peak period, but now Ma Long, Xu Xin, Timo Boll, Jun Mizutani, Fan Zendong ... have to abdicate, giving way to young people like Wang Chuqin, Lin Yunyu, Harimoto ... And that is the rule. Nobody reigns the No. 1 throne forever!
Great compilation. Wonderful to watch LYJ's speed and precision. Somehow it is a relief that someone can beat the mainland chinese players. He should be careful of his serve though, seems to be illegal sometimes, for example at 2:30/2:31 (free arm removed too late).
Thank you not only for this fine compilation but also for not adding music. The iconic clicking sounds of out beloved sport are "music" enough. Other video makers should take a lesson. Now if only you could leave the game sounds but edit out the horrible announcers. The male announcer did not learn how to pronounce Lin Yun Ju's name until late in the competition.

Lin is a real winner in both game and sportmanship. I think even his opponent would respect him. He is a good role model of the young players.
