AKI is sometimes called acute kidney failure or acute renal failure. It is very serious and requires immediate treatment. Unlike kidney failure that results from kidney damage that gets worse slowly, AKI is often reversible if it is found and treated quickly.👍

Great lucture. The early blood marker to detect decline renal function for diabetics is microalbuminuria.

Do you need both criteria (Cr and urine) to classificate a patient?

Are they half lectures? I mean management and treatment etc are not mentioned. It's mostly etiology or pathophysiology.and in this lecture its mostly staging.

The treatment depends on the underlying cause. If a renal stone is the culprit. Then removing the stone is the key to treat AKI And if the patient hypovolimic then fluid replacement is important.and so on.
