- Hi fellow dog lover!🐶 My dog Billie had so many behavior problems… she was jumping, peeing inappropriately, overly aggressive, pulling on the leash… she was just crazy…🤪 Then I found this one solution that stopped all the problems!🙌 The sad fact was…The training I first tried with my dog was a complete fai...lure.😔 I went through the average cookie-cutter training programs. These programs used outdated and ‘mean’ dominance techniques. It turns out those programs had no qualifications and were developed by complete phonies.😱 So this is what I did to stop my dog’s behavior problems... In a few simple words… I discovered my dog’s hidden intelligence!🧠
Let me explain… In my years as a dog owner…this is the one big lesson I have learned. More intelligent dogs are better behaved.👍 A more intelligent dog takes commands easier…and understands what you need from them. What I found out was… No matter how clever I thought my dog was. I could still unlock my dog’s hidden intelligence quickly and easily!😄 Don’t waste a second longer putting up with your dog's behavior problem! I’ll explain everything you need to know in the link!😁

My cavapoo is ten, and is still lively and the best cuddle buddy. She’s always on my heels following me everywhere and she’s so well behaved. Sweetest girl. So not aggressive, never bit anyone. LOVES people, loves other dogs cats anything. She’s so laid back. Very loving, genuinely she’s the best dog I’ve ever had 🥺
I have a 2 year old Cavapoo. She's so lovable, tolerant to young children & sweet. I agree wih almost everything in this video EXCEPT the barking. My Cavapoo thinks she's a guard dog & barks at EVERYTHING! She barks so much that it makes it difficult to work from home when I'm on the phone & people hear her barking at anything walking past the house. She barks a lot! Otherwise, she is 1 of the best pets I've owned.
Im sorry your cavapoo barks so much :/ in all breeds you have dogs who bark more than others. I just wanna say that good training since a young age can decrease/prevent barking by alot. But of course its not something easy to train, especially as you wanna avoid using negative reenforcement with cavapoos and instead focus on positive. Theres alot of great advice on youtube and of course theres dog trainers also. Older dogs can also be trained so Im sure you can still do something to help the barking at least a little!
😬🤣🤣🤣
so does my Parker hes only 7 months and goes nuts when he sees something he thinks needed to be barked at... for being such a small sized dog youd be suprised that barking was from him haha!!
otherwise absolutley love having him
Me too! My cavoodle does bark a lot, and he’s very protective. I still love him so much though!
My Cavapoo is 2 years old he is so loving and fun to be around he loves his sister Luna the only thing he likes to steel sandwiches from the table 😅 I love my cavapoo amazing dogs to have and love
Got one two days ago. She is amazing. She has little dog syndrom which is a pain but everything else, spot on.
I'm getting a 2 month cavapoo in 2 days! Thank you for the tips
Same! I’m so excited!!!
getting one in 4 days! this video was great! made me even more excited to get one!! her name is Rosie
How has it been since you got it?
I finally decided that a Cavapoo is perfect for me. Any suggestions for Breeders where I can get a healthy puppy?
Hi @Briana Honor. It’s been 10 months. I’m curious if you received Rosie. My family and I are close to getting one and I want to see how you feel about yours.
G1iroa🐩🇦🇷🦁👱🏿♀️JessicaLeoN
Are these dogs good as a service dog, I have a 6 year old autistic grandson who is functioning but I wonder if a small dog would be good for him
Looking for a cavapoo breeder - not easy :) Thanks a lot!
He is 12 months.
This so good I really want a Cavapoo and I should my parents and they want one now thanks!!!! 💖💖💖💖
Yes I would really like a cavapoo I'm looking to buy one
@@williamroll6112 aren't they like really expensive
Ur sooooo lucky bc I want cavapoo my mother sayd shes ok with that but my dad sayd he dont like and dont want dog😭
My Cavapoo ( luna ) is very smart. Potty trained in no time .
They live 12 - 15 years!!!!!! Lots of dogs do.
“500$ to 700$”
Me who has seen dogs that sell for 35k: 👁 👄 👁 what!?
500-700 is annual upkeep, not purchase cost, me thinks!
want to get one so bad so I plan on getting mines next year when I start working.
did you get it?
What cavapoo generation is this f1 f1b or f2???
Do I feed my dog twice a day or only ones a day. He’s been getting weight
I buy a cavapoo in Petland in Florida and cost me 4,500.00 dollars they ask for 6,000 so we offer 4,500 it’s ridiculous we fall in love with him so we get and he’s lovely and get hyper after 6:pm he’s a strong dog for me I’m 64 I think cavapoo are for young people
I have one also I took a screen shot of my dog it’s on my thumbnail they 4000£ THATS CRAZY
Anyone know with they are good with small parrots?
Mine is good with my Guinea pigs!
I’m about to spend thousands on a Cavapoo puppy. Not sure where 500-700 ones are but not anywhere near NY lol
I think they meant annually.
In NY, it's hard to find one for less than $3k. Be careful, 2 of the people I thought were breeders in upstate NY, were running puppy mills out if their homes.
I got my for 500 in PA ny the most sweet boy ❤
I got my girl for 2000😢
Puppies in Utah start around $700
Wow my perfect pet just still worried about the time commitment
Rachel Blair-Davies. I had a Cavapoo. They're wonderful. Not sure what you mean by time commitment, but I think they are wonderful companions.
Time commitment- Training:
They are easy to train. Mine was house trained in 10 days. He learned typical commands of come, sit, stay, etc. easily. He learned to walk nicely on a loose leash & to heel (walk beside me) faster than any dog I have ever had.
I did use a lightweight halter on him when going out. The only thing he couldn't seem to get was not to jump up on people when greeting. Actually, he understood he wasn't supposed to do that, but he was just so excited to see people & get attention that he would jump up on them if given a chance. People did not help with training him not to jump. They would always say "Oh, it's ok, I don't mind. He's so cute!" So having him wear a halter helped with controlling his excitement when greeting people.
While he walked nicely on a leash, I also had a halter on him because he liked to try to chase anything that moved: birds, squirrels, chipmunks, cats. He would never hurt a cat. He lived with one & liked her, but he tried to play with her as he would a dog, playing chase. She was not afraid of him, just got annoyed at him sometimes (was an older cat). She would jump up on something to get away when he got to overbearing & played too rough for her.
Time commitment- Activity:
For any breed of dog, if you give them enough exercise & play time, they will not be destructive. That does take commitment, but it's part of the joy of having a dog. Cavapoos do not need as much activity (and exercise time) as compared to larger, more high energy dog, for example, a Labrador Retreiver.
It is true that they are not good when left alone too long. But if allowed to go into the office, Cavapoos would do very well & behave themselves. I was able to take my Cavapoo to a lot of different places & he was always welcomed because he was so well behaved. If you do have to leave him at home while working, a companion dog is a good option.
Time (& money) commitment- grooming:
Cavapoos do need the commitment of their owners to have them groomed every 6 to 8 weeks. Non-shedding dogs are great, but their hair continues to grow & must be cut. The hair is silky & can tangle easily especially around the ears & tail. So along with brushing at home, they will need haircuts & nail trimming.
Hope this info helps.
Cavapoos are very friendly, love people & other dogs, good with children, sweet tempered, don't bark much & are a joy to be around!
@@jemhi I had my dog goomed every 6-8 weeks. A good professional groomer will always cut your dog's nails, clean the ears & eyes and express the anal glands in addition to the brush out, bath & haircut. My dog had the wavy, silky hair of spaniels. The curlier hair might need more often or less often maintenance. I found if I stretched his grooming out to 9 weeks or more apart, then I had to be really careful about brushing out his hair... the longer the hair, the more it tended to form mats.
I did not need to trim his nails in between grooms. I did check & sometimes clean his ears. I cleaned at the edge of his eyes frequently. Some Cavapoos need more eye cleaning than other breeds. The main thing that I had to be vigilant with between grooming was to just comb or brush his hair & check for mats, especially behind the ears and around the tail. If the hair gets too matted, he'll need to be shaved to get rid of them. Matted hair is uncomfortable for a dog.
I only bathed him at home when he needed it. Buddy would occasionally roll in some foul smelling thing (like a dead bird). If we walked near a rain puddle, just like a kid, he wanted to play in the muddy water. If it had rained and there was a muddy puddle nearby, he'd find it! He was a therapy dog for several years (we visited in healthcare facilities: hospitals, assisted living facilities & nursing homes). It was a requirement to have washed your dog before a visit, so sometimes he got a bath or mini-shampoo 2-3 times a month for the visits. Other than those situations, it wasn't necessary to give regular baths. Cavapoos don't seem to have much of that "doggie" smell.
Your questions about separation anxiety is not easy to answer. I never had that problem with Buddy. Not sure how much was due to his personality, or because I didn't have a 9 to 5 job. I am a pet sitter, so he had lots of friends come to visit. If I left the house, many times he would have a friend there to keep him company. I would suggest that for your dog, if possible, when you leave him. Doggie Day Care can get expensive, so I would recommend finding a friend, neighbor or family member whose dog enjoys spending time with your dog. Mental activity is very important for your dog. I believe boredom is a big part of separation anxiety & barking problems. The more friends your dog has, the better. I have a friend who got a "mutt" - very sweet, but young & was very destructive when left alone. She "borrows" her daughter's dog & they spend the day together at home while their owners work. I used to invite a neighbor's dog to come over & hang out with Buddy if I knew I would be gone for 4 or 5 hours. Cavapoos love the company of other dogs & get along well with most dogs of any breed.
About dogs "suffering" more separation anxiety when you go out more- (the changes in our routines due to how the pandemic has affected our lives) I don't know about that. Dogs- any breed of dog- likes routine & really misses things and people when there are changes to their daily routines. If you are in the habit of walking your dog twice a day, then change to only once a day, he'll miss it. But you can add new things like a play session at home instead of the extra walk. I do believe dogs also get "cabin fever" and miss not getting to go to the park, walks, visiting friends and outings like going for a car ride or a trip to the dog store to buy food. I would say to try to have some routine activities & friends that your dog can know he will do whether you are home or not. Having a pet sitter come & walk your dog or keep him at their home while you're at work is another option. I had a client with a change in family situation who wasn't sure how well the dog would do at home alone. I brought the dog to my house to spend the day with me & my dog. The dogs loved it and I gave a deal that was cheaper than a Doggie Day Care and I included pick up and return trips.
I hope this information has been helpful to you. Good luck!
@@judybritt6288 so can I leave for work for 9 hours and the cavapoo will be okay? I need a poodle mix for allergy reasons so please say yes. I could have tv on, backyard opening for pee, treats and games set up etc. Im trying to make it work.
@@npistor2878 I'm not an expert- just had 1 Cavapoo. But no, I can't say I think it's a good idea to have a Cavapoo home alone that much, even with toys & access to outside.
I worked from home, so I can say I had no issue with separation anxiety with mine.
I never left him alone for that long (8 or 9 hrs.a day, every day). If I had to be away that long, I had friends with dogs that he could go stay with. I rarely used a kennel.
I do not think that would not be a good situation for a Cavapoo. They hate being left alone. Mine didn't bark and wasn't destructive (chewing), but that could be a problem if left alone too long.
I was uncomfortable with the thought of leaving my dog outside in my fenced yard when I wasn't home for fear that he might get stolen or dig out under the fence. Certain breeds in my area have been stolen from cars and out of yards. Cavapoos are such friendly dogs, they would go with anyone and would be easy to steal.
Here's an idea. I'm a petsitter. I gave a reduced rate to a client to have his dog at my house with me & my dog all day. I had been going to their house to walk the dog 1x a day. With the new arrangement, the dog had company all day (rather than for just an hour); my dog loved it; I didn't travel & was assured of a steady fee; and the client was happy his dog had human & canine company all day. Plus his dog was prone to eye & ear infections, so I made sure she got her meds on time each day. It was a cheaper arrangement than using a doggie day care or kennel.
I got my Cavapoo, Buddy, from an owner, not a breeder. The owner realized she was away from home too much (9-5+ hrs. every day). Her job changed & she then had to do overnight travel, too. She realized she needed to re-home Buddy. I was her neighbor & was thrilled to have him. His first owner was a nice lady, but she came to realize her home & work situation was not a good match for a young, active dog who had to stay home alone so much.
If you can't have 2 Cavapoos to keep each other company, I would consider getting a different breed.
@@npistor2878 no certainly not
They are currently around $2,000+.
4,000+, btw I think she was talking about maintaining the dog not buying it
I got my for 500 in PA I’m in love he is sooo cute
Um. My Cavapoo is doing just fine with crate training. Has to because of work. Never more than four hours at a time though
my cavapoo seams to a dry mouth and looks like his tongue sticks to top of his mouth. He stands up and like gags then he is ok. Is this a normal thing?
Wayne Lewis, coughing is one of the signs of heart problem in Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that Cavapoos can inherit. Have your vet check out your dog. Mine had a genetic heart problem and hacking cough was first indication. Good luck. Hope that's not the case for yours.
@Wayne also make sure there is no hidden toxic mold issues in the home. Mycotoxin exposure from mold can affect dogs before people. Cough, excessive thirst, dry mouth and urgency to urinate are a few of the symptoms. Also, itchy skin and rashes. Lastly, grain in dog foods can be contaminated with mold.
Are they good with cats?
I am getting a cavapoo but to have them around cats you might need to train it around the cat
Coco the Cavapoo so far so good. She’s still in a play pen but she seems to like our cats. One of the cats sleeps next to her pen.
They cost $5000-$7000 here in Australia
Also in US
I just got mine for $4000 in Sydney.
@@elizabethc3781 that’s a great price! I’m in Brisbane, they start at $5000 here
That’s very expensive wow
Yeah. The price doubled during lockdown 😪
I’m tossing between getting a cavoodle or a toy poodle. Help!!
The break down is how much work you wanna do.
@@Entrantress sorry for the late reply, well..what's the difference?
@@karishmaram1 well cavoodles require a bit more attention while poodles are independent. That’s really the big break down. Do you want a lap dog because cavoodles will more likely have that trait.
Get a toy cavoodle! I have one and she is AMAZING!
@@Entrantress hmm..I don’t want a lap dog that’ll be with me 24 hours but I would like a pup that’ll follow me around and would sit with me when I’m alone and like to play and learn tricks etc.
Where can I get a $700 cavapoo in Atlanta?
Shipped from a breeder up north east
They are going for 2k average. That $700 is for care annually.
If I find a female Cavapoo...and it makes a litter you can buy one from me for $1000.
Why do Calvpoo like to lick
People buy them because they’re lap dogs, yet leave them at home for 12 hours a day and wonder why they develop behavioural issues! The cavapoo I looked after snapped at every other dog and kept weeing in the house.
My cavapoo is white with spots of cream
The price of cavapoos have definitely gone up 😭
She makes it sound like Cavaliers are not intelligent.
M jn
I wanna breed our male Cavapoo. He's 3 and I'd like to see him make babies...he is so intelligent and always stands on his hind legs like a circus dog!
