To those who want to know why we are multiplying by 4,is because..the first (1) trailing zero is added in 5! i.e after (1*4)! And next trailing zero(2trailing zeros )are added after 9 factorial.. i.e after (2*4)8!..so it's a constant practice that we multiply the no of trailing zeroes with 4 to find approximately after which number we need to check

54! means 3 extra 3's are multiplied, which means power of 3 should be 26, not 25 at 8:34
because 3 ^2 =9*6 =54 so that's why adding 2 power

We take only the square or cube thing to consider whether 3 will come 2 times or one time as 9x6=54 , 9 is 3^2 that's why only 2 3's will be added

For all those wondering at 3:10 i think sir wanted to say that from 1 to 10! 3 will have a power of 4(approx) and then from 11 to 20! 3 will have a power of 8(approx) and continuing this pattern 3 will have a power of 20 between 40 and 50!
1-10! 3⁴
11-20! 3^8
21-30! 3^12
31 to 40! 3^16
41 to 50! 3^20
11-20! will contain 3^4 only and just like other 21-30!, etc etc, otherwise your value of 3^4 will go total of 60 rather being a total of 20

Sir, for trailing zero concept we are multiplying with 4 because generally the first skipped zero occurs at 24! and even that 1 skipped continously occurs for next 4 multiple of 25, 50 ,100 and at 125 now it becomes 2 skipped zeros and so on. Is this is the reason why we are mutltiplying with 4?

Another way to solve Question 5 (95 trailing 0s), the method is hit and trail, we can 1st check for 500!, then reduce the number to get the final answer, this is how I solved this question.

sir! i have a doubt in the 1st question you solved - it was asked how many values can N take if N! is a multiple of 3 raised to 20 but not 3 *25 , so you considered no.'s btw'n 45! and 54! but 42!, 43!, 44! are also a multiple of 3 raised to 20 right? so the no. of values should be 12.

The exception of 4 in the first Question, When we take n = 4, n-1! = 3! = 6 so 6 is not divisible by 4. i.e. n-1! is not divisible by n then how come it is an exception?
Roshni, Yes it is not divisible by 4
It is an exception because sir has mentioned that only prime numbers can be considered as it will not be divisible. Since 4 is not a prime number but still it is not divisible, it is mentioned there as exception.
All other composite numbers are divisible

Bro see here how many numbers are there from 1 to 10. We know it is 10 but it can be obtained by (10 - 1) +1. So number of numbers from i to j is (j - i) + 1

Because we have to consider all the factorials from 45 to 53.
So when we take difference 45 will get excluded so we have to add 1.

What is the highest power of 12 that divides 54!? pls help........
12=2^2×3
54! = 2^50 (highest power of 2 in 54!)
54! = 3^26 (highest power of 3 in 54! )
So, the highest power is always decided with less power (i.e 3^26)
Hence, highest power of 12 in 54! Factorial is 12^26.

In this we divide 50 because 12 is divisible by 2×2×3 so there are two times 2.
So the power of 2 is 25 and power of 3 is 26 we always consider lower ones
Hence the answer is 3^25

@@siddhanthvinod3931 see first of all when 5 comes a zero occurs. So 95 ×2 gives u 190. Where 190 has only 46 tr.zeroes. then multiply with 4. Then 380 which has approx of 94 tr zeroes. Since the hishest power value of 5 is equal to the tr zeroes. So he is making the factor to get 95 tr zeroes.

You are doing something wrong, till 26! You have 23 times 2 right.
If you multiply it with 27 means 27! Which is not contain any two or 27 is not a factor of 2,
So no mean to do this, next we go for 28! But if closely look into this 28 = 2x 2x 7, means now you have two times 2.
Hence you have 23 times for the 26!, And after 28! You just got two more 2, than number of 2 becomes 23+2 = 25.
