I have 0 clue when it comes to wiring etc, but I just fit some 9” driving lights to my 07 bt50, this video was very informative and helped me get it done! Love your work

i had a lot of trouble geting my lights working until i realised the harness had a 24v relay installed... swaped out for 12v relay no probs... 3 day headache trying to figger that out!
Tried fitting this to my Subaru Outback. Sadly the piggy back connectors didn't fit my headlight so got autosparky to do it in the end. Great tutorial though, thanks.

I have a 2007 Hilux and I have been trying to connect spotties for the past few days but nothing is working. So I'm now trying to change the wires around to the Negatively wired way and I cant figure out how to get female end out of the piggy back harness.
Hi Simone, it will need to go through the firewall and the easiest way to run it is through the glove box and were you would like to mount it is personal preference. Thanks, Samantha
So i have a 80 series landcruiser 95 model I've got 1 wiring harness but if there 2 adapters for head lights and one connection on the harness. Do a need another wiring harness . Basically i just brought a set of 9 inch spot light and bar. Unfortunately im not about to get them working. Need assistance 😪 😫 i followed all your videos.
I tried re wiring to the negative positive but still no luck, not sure what I’m doing wrong here. Mazda bt50 2012, if any one knows something I might be missing please help I’ve used the hardcore wiring harness. Everything is done and installed the way it should be as far as I know but spotties just aren’t lighting up
Hi there, Thank you for the comment, while we don't have much in the way of oversight on Hardkorr's harnesses, if you'd like to grab a video or some photos of how you've got it wired to social@4wdsupacentre.com.au we can have a look and see if there is anything standout, but that'd be the limit of what we can chase with 3rd party gear. Regards, Andrew
Hey Guys, when I leave the wiring as is as it comes in the box the light bar works on low beam but not on high beam. Rodeos are negatively switched. But when I change it to what you have shown the light bar doesn't work at all. Any info to help would be great. I have a 2004 holden rodeo.
So I tried this on the 80 and now I think about after swapping the wires around and it still not working on high beams has led me to the conclusion that all he did was change the wires around he hasn’t actually reversed the negativity. Should this be done from the vehicle’s Kim it’s self? And not the harness you provide.
If you want the easiest solution, swap your harness for a "plug N Play smart harness" which will work right out of the box - Toyota use negative switching which means your headlights are always connected to positive and the switch is on the earth - in some cases by using this harness you're adding an earth return path that is always connected. You can fix it but it does take a little more playing around. Cheers, Cahn
So how does this setup connect to high beam switch to activate spotties? As on a technicality it is illegal to have spotties running on a separate switch to high beam. They need to be able to be turned on/off with high beam.
Hi Homer, Negatively switching the vehicle will still connect the same way as normal - with high beams. The wires just need to be swap around ie red/black. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with - Samantha
Hi Will, Did you try the wiring without changing to negative switched first? If you’ve tried both ways - you might need to use a test light or multi meter to confirm the output of your headlights. Let us know once you’ve double checked and we’ll see what else we can do. Cheers, Cahn

@@4wdsupacentreAu so are you saying that the LED light bar wiring harness will not work for me even if I follow the change in plug wiring shown in this video for my 2006 hilux and my only option is to buy another harness? Or that you guys will happily swap the one I got for the more suitable one?
Hey Lachlan, you would need to check to see what headlight adapters your vehicle has as our adapters are advertised as HB3 and H4 headlight adapters. Hi Dory, Switching the wires on the HB3 plug doesn’t work because there’s only two wires - positive and negative - these go back to the harness and will likely just blow a fuse as they’re now the wrong polarity. We'd suggest getting a smart harness instead if you have a negatively switched vehicle. Cheers, Mia
