I'm so glad I was taught how to play the recorder at school. It has come in really handy in adult life. Lost count of the times I've resolved a difficult situation with a quick blast of three blind mice.

Ditto. I always appreciate someone who isn’t afraid to be themselves and doesn’t kowtow to the whims of the hypersensitive masses. Half the damn world is one gigantic snowflake at this point, and I’m extremely grateful for the relatively few folks who *haven’t* sold their souls to appease the whiners. The self-centered, petulant children who dominate our society are never satisfied anyway, so there’s no point trying to please them. (And I mean quite literally *never* satisfied-nothing is EVER good enough for the types I’m thinking of. They constantly want more, more, more-no matter what we’re talking about-and will throw hissy fits even when they get their way because it wasn’t a *strong enough* victory. Reprehensible beyond belief.) And no one should have to change who they are just because others are miserable inside. Changing oneself doesn’t resolve the internal problems of others; the crybabies need to fix themselves before they can ever hope to be happy with anything. They’re just softcore bullies, projecting their own issues onto everyone else-much like your garden-variety schoolyard bully beating kids up for their lunch money. Bleedin’ hypocrites.
Sorry for the unsolicited rant-people and their endless drama really piss me off, and I tend to get on my soapbox when reminded of the kind of world we live in. I despise anyone who thinks their rights supersede those of others just because they’re hypersensitive. (‘Empathetic’ my ass-half these crocodile tears ghouls would watch a mutilated child bleed to death with sick smiles on their faces if that child didn’t fit their fanatical idealistic views. The other half generally mean well but are unbelievably naïve and clueless.) Conversely, I applaud those who stand their ground and stay true to themselves.
