The botanical gardens at Tela (I was lucky enough to bump into one of the keepers when I was there, who took me around picking fruit!), the town of Gracias and the area inland from La Ceiba are all wonderful too. Like El Salvador people are put off by its violent reputation but they're both two of my favourite places on Earth.

Honduras es el pais de Centro America con mas influencia Europea, judia y Arabe. Contando con la segunda poblacion de Arabes mas grande en el continente Americano junto a Chile. Honduras junto a Belice y Nicaragua son los unicos paises de Centro America donde hubo conquista Inglesa y tambien Española, ya que El Salvador, Costa Rica y Guatemala solo fueron conquistados por los Españoles. La mayoria del territorio Occidente de Honduras es de origen Judios sefarditas exiliados de España, Alemania, Holanda, Italia, Turquia, Rumania, Polonia, Portugal y Norte de Africa. los departamento de Islas de la bahia, Olancho, Gracias a Dios, cuentan con mas descendientes Europeos. Honduras es el unico pais en el mundo que tuvo dos presidentes judios. Cuenta con la segunda barrera de coral mas grande del mundo y la primera mas sana del mundo.

I went for about 9 or 10 weeks across 7 countries. I started with 2 friends but ended up going solo after about 2 weeks 🙈
