Vocals in general Matt has seriously developed. The nasal distortion screaming technique (that actually has a very similar mechanic to that of a blended tunnel scream) is safe and over the past couple years has gotten so much better and more aggressive. His ears are better at tuning in, his cleans are more operatic and soulful and his screams are getting super full sounding with the new technique.

I seen them on this tour in Perth Australia in 2009 when I was 21...was my first time seeing them. Was amazing, by the end of the show I had my shirt ripped off me and I was missing a shoe, the pit was intense haha 😂 seen them 4 times all up now.

You clearly hear that Matt's voice is definitely tired when playing Pull Harder. Lot of energy and great show for sure but I'm not surprised that he completely changed how to scream in live performances in recent years.
It was mostly because he blew his voice out a lot like James, so he was kinda forced to change it, and I'm glad he did, that was possibly the worst thing he could've done for his voice before he changed it
I remember this show so so well. It changed my life, never thought I'd get to see it back in HD. Back in the days where people were selling fake Trivium shirts outside the show. I remember watching back videos I shot of the show on my potato of a phone in between lessons at school for months and months. This was my fifth Trivium show at that point. Got to see you at the Astoria twice, once in Hammersmith, once in Brixton. Can't wait for touring to start again!
I saw them on this tour. They came thru my hometown on a co-headlining run with All That Remains and The Human Abstract. From what I remember, this is pretty close to the same setlist they played, give or take a couple of songs. I'll never forget Matt Heafy doing these weird Rob Halford-esque falsettos between songs lol Nothing will ever beat seeing them live, but I'm glad they've kept some of this old tour footage archived because it's cool being able to go back and watch how much they've grown.
