I gifted my maths teacher a G430 as Covid hit and I noticeably started struggling with his lessons. He used to scan his hand-written notes and explain that way, but we missed the step-by-step excercises (well, I did, somehow my classmates fared just fine). I gave it to him because I lost the drive to draw and play OSU with it, but now I'm looking into getting another one and the G640 seems right to me. The main advantage is that without a screen and batteries, these drawing tablets are extremely thin, light and cheap. Not sure about the durability but it does feel solid and rigid in your hand.
I’m beyond thrilled to have found this tutorial Sethi! I’ll soon be teaching chemistry to online students and drawing on the “board” is an important part of my lessons. Thank you!
XP pens have totally transformed how I teach. I have been lucky enough to have a class set of Chromebooks and XP Pen 7 Deco for my A level Physics classes, all notes and worksheets / exam questions are shared via google classroom (make a copy for each student) as .PDFs. I use a Kami teacher subscription to allow the students to answer directly on screen. I can monitor progress live in class as well as mark all submitted assignments later. All the work is exactly where I need it for assessment, as well as for the students for revision/review.
Please, is this tablet G640 is better for teaching or deco fun xs xp pen (3×4 inch). I noticed that G640 is better for drawing or is it also good in writing or explaining grammer
I bought this tablet and downloaded the drivers. But, I am doing something wrong. When I try to use it, the signature or drawing ends up in a much larger scale than anticipated such that it is nearly impossible to draw a signature on a signature line because it would require such micro movements to create a mini-micro image on the tablet in order to translate as normal on the document. I am also a professor and would love to know what I am doing wrong so that my drawing is more controlled and less of a giant mess.
Hello, and many thank for the video. I need a tablet for mathematical writing, do you think G640 might be OK or you suggest G690? I mean is not it small? Thank you.
@@FlippedClassroomTutorials I add a lot of content example: im viewing city skyline and ill add to apartment Building. Would I have to press pause onscreen or on the xp
Hi, I work with microscopy images using ImageJ. Sometimes I need to use the mouse as a pen to make a line or select specific areas, which is annoying. Do you know if this device can work with this kind of software? Regards!
I still think its excellent and a great entry level writing tablet. I must admit that I since use a larger one : amzn.to/4cid4Jq The XP pro whenever I'm in need of writing on screen as I find it easier with the larger surface area. That being said, this one is small and easy to carry around.
Great review! Very indept but still short and informative. I don't know if this is a regional thing, but my cable was significantly longer making it a lot more versatile. I thought I'd throw that here. (I got it from the UK xp pen store)
I got the XP Pen deco MW as my first ever tablet to use with MS Whiteboard (in Teams), but am very disappointed with the software driver support from XP Pen. Many bugs and limitations preventing proper programming of the pen and tablet buttons, many small hiccup, etc. Maybe a different whiteboard app is better supported?
Hello sir. I am using pdf x change viewer to annotate my students' pdfs. It' s very exhausting when you have 30 students. I was wondering if I could use this stylus for greater comfort ? Thank you, A teacher from France

Brilliant! A perfect example of the using the right tools for the right task. I love the combination of a graphics tablet and Kami
Question: If I lose the pen, can it be purchased separately?
Yes. Definitely, the various stylus versions can be purchased separately and work with each other.
@@FlippedClassroomTutorials thank you - I appreciate your fast reply’s to questions! 👍🏻

I think it may have been changed since I got mine :-) Definitely a welcomed change :-)
Does it connect to android?
Unfortunately it's listed as unavailable on Amazon for me.
Have a look at the updated version the g640s which should be in stock. I haven't tested this one myself, but it's a newer version of the one I use.
