Great flipthrough - I really can't wait to get my hands on this when it arrives. They're doing a great job adapting these rulebooks, I'd be very happy if they released some epic scale bits for other conflicts!
I think they’ve been so successful that they will do more periods, I can’t help wonder if something medieval might be on the cards. Maybe not next, as they could choose to return to Napoleonics given its popularity.
Great run through Stu. This is the book I am most looking forward to and can’t wait to receive mine next month. Can’t wait for your next painting tutorial of these but well done with this video - brilliantly informative. Cheers. Stevie 🏴
Looks great and i think WLG should have made this available a few weeks ago to enable us to figure out what to buy. I find the pre-order options a little confusing and hence what to buy and start with. Thanks for doing the video. Paul
Nice run through Stu. I have to say it looks very good and will be a big read not only for the rules, but for the extra content on the Punic Wars. I had thought of doing something for Warfare, I put on a demo/participation game every year, but it looks unlikely now as I wont be able to paint up enough units in time to make it worth while, which is a shame. 😪Thanks for sharing. 👍
Good video. I have a set pre ordered, but not really familiar with the period. Sounds like the book provides some history. That is good to know. Thanks for the update.
Thanks for the page through! Will you get the Scipio rules too? I'm very much intrigued by that! Would be great to have more info on it. I'd also love to hear your opinion on it.
Thank you, very informative! Any news or information on the Scipio battle game they are releasing with this? I’m intrigued by the quick and easy to play approach of it but can’t seem to find much information on it
@norm977 Yea absolutely, and I think that’s a really important thing for this scale. Visuals are the first attraction, but of the reduction in scale doesn’t have benefits of game scale it seems a waste. Glad that seems to have been addressed, and both this and Pike & Shotte seem to work better on regular sized tables than the two Black Powder versions did.
Always thought they missed a trick with the 6cm base widths. At least it works better with Punic rather than the same 28mm footprint sized units of Napoleonic (unless you want to faff around cutting bases in half or just fudge it with 3 stand battalions that can’t form square).

Thanks for doing a flip through. Really looking forward to this release.
I think it’s going to be very very popular

Thanks Stu! Really looking forward to this release!
It’s going to be a good one 🙂

Yeah I like to plan as well, especially if I’m not going to the biggest set.
Hi Stuart, you’ve made it look very tempting. Apart from DBMM I’ve not played ancients.but there’s o lot of painting to get an army together.
Hi Leon, yes Epic is amazing, but always a huge amount of painting.
Nice first look through Stu. Im looking at it myself and hope to do a video of the rules specifically for this period and the few new stuff in there
Cheers Dom. I’ll look forward to that, will be good to get some commentary from you and Martin who have played the period and HS more.
Thanks for the shout! Great flip through. 😎 Can’t wait to get mine in hand, physical is always better! - Boone
No worries dude, hopefully you can get a hard copy soon.

Thank you. Maybe something for Warfare next year then?

I’m not sure I’m afraid, it’s not been mentioned in any of the conversations I’ve had. I’d like to know a bit more myself.
This book does look full of great stuff
I’m very impressed with it so far.

Thank you.
I’m afraid not, would like to know a little more about it myself, if I do get any access to it I’ll definitely cover it on the channel.
@@MiniatureRealms no worries, hopefully we get some more info soon! :)
Thanks for the review, appreciate a summarised approach as opposed to man reads book!
Thank you 🙂
Thank you, are there many scenarios that will work on a 6x4?
The majority I think, 8/10 of the narrative ones at a quick guess from memory.
@@MiniatureRealms cheers and I am guessing that the biggies can be bath-tubbed down, looks like they are working harder for the more standard table.

Interesting game
I think it will be popular
Oh lucky you got sent the rulebook
I’m am very lucky yes 🙂
