My goodness you look shockingly handsome on that bike... leave some ladies for the rest of us man! 😁
Haha thank you, my 3%female audience will appreciate 😂😂
I am a Brit living in Germany and ride a yellow Meteor.
At 66 I have been steadily downsizing. Before buying, I asked myself what's my typical speed. 100kph. Add 20% and the Meteor ticked all the boxes.
I have been on the Autobahn with it and I find in the current fuel cost crisis, everyone has slowed down a lot allowing the Meteor to stick with the traffic and that +20% will even get you past the trucks.
Excellent review by the way, but don't forget the over 60.
It's not only new or young riders that enjoy the Meteor 350, like a lot of older riders in the UK l have sold my large touring bikes and l bought a 350 Meteor, light weight with amazing fuel economy and great looks, l get asked about it everywhere l go.
It really is an eyecatcher. Here in Germany young people have not really cought the Royal enfield bug either. It just seems that in the us and so on many people fascinated by royal enfield are younger.
But here in Germany it’s the same
Im a new rider. Bought the Meteor 350 in May 2022 and it's money well spent because everytime i ride it, the thrill is just like the first time. It never gets old and I'm far from bored of it. Even tried the SM 650 but i don't see that as good for daily use here in India. But that's a superb bike too.
I’m 6’ even, and recently had a chance to swing a leg over a meteor 350. I was shocked by how big and comfortable it felt.
Yes the most comfortable bike for my hight, I have set on
Great review ! One of the best I've seen since buying the exact bike in 2021. It was time for me to downsize, so I sold my R1100RT. The bike never stops making me smile cruising the B roads in Atlantic Canada. Is truly a "social" bike. Cheers 😎
I bought my meteor 350 late May. My last bike was a Honda Shadow 750. I got 65 mpg on that Honda, dealer said I should have got 45. This Meteor is getting between 91 and 106 mpg for me. GREAT bike! Handles great. My Honda dragged the foot pedals when cornering but the Meteor corners and handles very nice. It's not the most powerful or fastest bike on the road but I don't ride that way. This is a perfect leisure cruiser bike.
Those camera shots are money my brother 🔥
Thank you ☺️
Love the brand, the history and comunity. Especially the old 500 single cilinder bullet 😉
Much bike for few money 🤙
I also really like them I think when it comes to good bikes on a budget nothing beats them right now
I'm finally saving for this beautiful machine after successfully paying off my debts so I'm fully able to commit to something like this. It may not be the fastest, but RE puts so much charm and personality into their bikes. I'll be working on my motorcycle license in the meantime. Hopefully I can get my hands on it by January 2024!
Love my Fireball. The red color attracts humming birds in my area. Ohio US
Great motorcycle indeed. RE has definitely stepped it up in terms of quality, the Thunderbird (predecessor of the Meteor) was the first mainstream cruiser-like from RE and it was great but had the typical quality issues that plagued the RE of yesteryears. RE have definitely built a gem in this new J series engines. I had a lot of fun testing and riding these bikes back when I was working at an Automotive supplier back in India, where one of my last assignments was on this bike. The only design fault I would like changed is the design of the rear suspension, the rear shocks are mounted right under the seat in line with your spine and this sends jolts when traveling on bumpy roads, but that does not seem too much of a concern on the smooth tarmac that's found over most of Europe.
If someone's interested in more power on a similar platform, please do check out the Super Meteor.
I like your review. What fantastic roads you have.
Best review I've ever watched awesome
Nice review, now I kind of want to try it 😅👍🏻
You should it’s really surprising
I own a meteor and agree with your comments about the bike .I use it for my daily commute to work and short local journeys. The bike is brilliant for this and with about 300 to 320 kilometres before the fuel light comes on cheap to run as well. The bike reminds me of my old MZ ts250/1 but with better brakes.
How many km on it..?
@@barry5580 the Meteor about 10,000 km MZ 250 I have done over 160,000 on various etz and TS 250 .
A well done review. Never rode the Meteor 350, but would love to try it. I rode the Interceptor and it was a nice bike. Enjoyed it. Got my like here mate. Just keep it up and drop by when you can. :)
Great video,I'm currently on a Yamaha XVS950 and this will probably be my next bike as I'm 190cm.
I like your style. No hype, to the point, yet transmitting a lot of "motorcycle experience" impressions so important to those who have chosen this mode of transportation and R&R. Of course, I am a little bit biased because this Meteor 350 is the only one I am considering as my next motorcycle - after having considered many other ones. Continue with the good work.
G’day, I am an older rider. I live in rural Australia and bought my meteor 2.5 years ago. Just loving this beast forever. I disagree with Miles with his constant harping that this bike is underpowered. I agree that it is, but only slightly. I find this beast to perform perfectly in 99% of cases and only occasionally going up a hill or overtaking it may fall short, but that’s it.
By now I have done just on 34000 clicks and especially at higher speed it has loosened up an enormous amount. Personally I have no problem overtaking at 100 as there is plenty of oomph left to do the job. Up to its purposely restricted speed limit by RE it works fine. Completely disagree that there isn’t much over 90. It’s a perfect cruisers on our rural roads and works fine on Australian highways with speed limits up to 110. Why mention German’s very few highways with unlimited speed restriction. They don’t exist anywhere else in the world.
It’s a very comfy bike on high speeds as it never feels that the engine is working to hard going faster then 100. It still feels it’s just cruising. So, nice review Miles, but constantly referring to it being underpowered sounds like this bike isn’t right for you either, especially seeing you racing this thing around corners in some of the clips. You probably would enjoy the very fast Japanese or Italian bikes a lot more.
I think we both have a point on this one. I lived in Australia for a year and I have to agree in Australian traffic this bike would be perfect as traffic tends to be slower and more relaxed in my experience. I remember driving my Holden for hours at 100 or even 90 through nsw and Queensland. The meteor would or perfect for that.
I said that that the bike is underpowered because I tested it in Germany and in the road conditions where I live. Where I live I am sorounded by unrestricted highways and all the twisty roads tend to be quite quick too.
I think with the power it has the bike is amazing and a brilliant motorcycle. I sometimes even think of it and would love to own one as a relaxed city bike or for big tours
Great review of the 350 meteor, thanks.
I’ve just looked on eBay and there is one in the same colour secondhand with just 255 miles on it, a 2021 model. For £2499, I’m extremely tempted.
That’s very good check how old it is Royal enfilds come with very good warranty, sometimes without a kilometer limit
I own a blue Super Nova. Being 6 feet tall, I wondered if I might be to tall for it. It is OK and feels great. The grandkids always want me to take them for a ride. I stay off of the high speed interstates and ride mostly on paved country roads. The center of gravity seems slightly high. I got used to it quickly. I had big doubts about the heel toe shifter. I got used to that too. I am happy that I bought it.
Best review of this bike on UA-cam
Awesome test!
Thank you
Very truthful review!!!
Thank you ☺️
I own a classic 350 and I bought it for the same reasons you described. If has the same vibe as the meteor. A mate of mine is buying one. We're both in our late 50's. 😂
Precise and a direct review 👍 Did you fiddle with the pre load setting which might have made the bike better for handling gravels ?
I think I'm sold on this thing. I want to go get my motorcycle license and this seems like a great first bike, especially for what I'm looking for. Good price, a fun ride, go out on the interstate, it's good around town, and it's pretty to look at.
I own one ald absolutely love it, i go for day ttips with the wife and it hardly costs a dime on fuel
For just being a motorcycle I think this thing is unbeatable
@@FreeMilesMC hope you do a super meteor 650 review
Mine done 20,000 km... Issue - zero 🎉
Nice review, I love mine. That said, I rarely use 5th gear. Cruise all day long in 4th. Thanks!
I think that’s the way to ride it at a relatively faster pace with a bonus (fewer gear changes ). What fuel efficiency are you able to obtain?
I want one. But I already have a RE Classic 350.
I just love the engine on it. Do they differ enough to validate the purchase 🤔
I'm 172cm 80kg and just ridden from Dieppe to the Algarve and back (3000 miles) without complaint. Return journey I'm carrying 162ltr if luggage and the bike doesn't even notice the extra functionality and practability out strip performance any day and as for your comment about riding on fast roads 😮😮 rubbish.
I expect the price to drop with the new ones coming out, I hope to grab one at that time
Love yellow meteor
In my opinion one of the best bikes from Royal Enfield ☺️
I had the very same bike same colour and black flys love it 🤦♂️ I got it from new great bike I did 1200 miles on it
You do bored of the lack of power I certainly did..if you notice you will see loads of these on EBay with low miles people get fed up
With these easy ..great bike tho really but 20 hp..you will get fed up with it 🥂
Not me. I love it... Perfect for North Thailand 🎉
Maybe you should try the hunter 350 given your points near the end of video 😊 oh yeah and perhaps you might want to consider being a bit more relaxed on the brakes, more gentle and progressive, when you rode into shot after the road ride you grabbed the front overly hard imo
Well I think it’s the shot for when I came back from the right. Hard breaking and stopping in to the frame, makes for quit a dinamic shot that’s why I did it, I usually don’t break like that.
But sometimes it really goes smoothly on camera I did the same shot for my review on the moto Morini Seiemmezzo and there the shot looked really awsome
Kevin bore off
@@ChrisJ-ru6ek can't change fact with insult old lad 🤣👌🏻
How do you set the clock?
How is it on highway speeds? 80mph?
4000 euro's, not in the netherlands..tax hell. Nice you don't have to push start it....sorry for the joke, could not resist.
Haha no wories. In Germany also depends on where you buy it. I used the prices of English speaking countries for reference and also in Germany there are some dealers that offer them for that price but you have too Look hard
Netherland maybe a tax hell, but it is the best Country in EU. greez from Germany
Also the People there are so nice
@@FreeMilesMCI can vouch for that. We need more people like you in Germany, especially Berlin.
Hi, I was wondering what you think about the hntr 350?
I have not riden it yet. I will try to get a dealership to maybe give me one for a day to review. It’s always a tough process to get my hands on bikes to review. But there definitely is a chance of me pulling that one off
I am also interested in the HNTR350. I rode the Interceptor and it was a nice ride. Can check it among my videos. Have fun. :)
@@FreeMilesMCthat would be awesome, that's what I'm hoping for.
I'm too fat for 20Hp 😆
Well Royal enfield just released the Same bike with 650 cc and 48 hp aswell ☺️
Bullet 650, classic 650 , himalayan 450, scram 450, scram 650 , shotgun 650, Himalayan 650 are about to debut in 2024 -25.
Can’t wait, I really would like to try out the Himalayan 450 and the scram 650
Bro, your choice in transitional music is trash!
Everything else is fine. Thanks for the review
Loose the crap music.....
Nope. Refuse to buy a bike without led lighting all around for safety.
