I believe the problem with this Flair vs Rousey feud is: (1) Ronda Rousey is being utilized as a baby face. Yes, she’s absolutely adorable in her personal life (mother, wife, farmer, gamer, etc.) that’s what I like about her. However, when it comes to WWE or MMA, she’s better as a “heel”, per se. Think about it: the last time we saw her was when she’s beating up everyone and losing her Raw Womens Championship at WM35. They should’ve kept that momentum going when she returned. Now, yes, I solely believed she shouldn’t have been in the title picture too soon UNLESS it was Becky Lynch; however, I understand they saving that match for WM39. (2) Charlotte Flair is the BEST; no one can deny. The problem is…she doesn’t have to prove it anymore. Since she’s been SD champion, let’s face it, she has not had a real competition. Not even Rousey. Matter of fact, they made Rousey look small compared to Flair. The only person I can say that can get Charlotte that competition would be Sasha Banks. Overall, they were booked poorly in this match. The build up was intensely awkward on both accounts. They both know they are superior in their craft, but it was definitely a power struggle. One had to win, the other loses. I can say this promo would’ve HIT, if, Rousey played the heel she meant to be. Otherwise, I respect both women.
Ronda and Brock are my favorite superstars...; i hope it is a clean match and may the best woman win - charlotte has done some very impressive things in her career - this will be one of the most daunting.....an actual clean win over Ronda on this stage would be an accomplishment - i hope all the athletes and spectators enjoy the show and are safe and healthy on monday; god bless;
