Sad that a movie like Tamasha never got the recognition it deserved.Has huge potential of becoming a cult in the coming years.Also the only amazing movie from Imtiaz Ali apart from Highway and Jab We Met.
One of the most underrated gems in Bollywood just like Bhavesh Joshi Superhero
Love Aaj Kal and Socha Na Tha were amazing as well. Socha Na Tha is one of the best romantic movies and there were many moments in that film that you carry with you.

Here the cafeteria represents a human body while ved ( in cream/brown cardigan with heavy embroidery ) represents the brain of the body who is clearly in trouble.
And tara ( in simple red top) represents the heart of the body.
It's a confrontation of brain and heart.

Imtiaz Ali is the most underrated guy in Bollywood, his much of the work is class apart. He brings that depth in characters and storyline.

@@SF-li9kh the expanse of human cycic is unending...and no one can do those role better than him.....and in an interview he said that he dont want to do a film where he is heroic....he want people to think about themselves,see within,be themselves, leave the false world and found purest form of yourself.....and now he tried other jonra in Jagga,bhramastra,samshera ,Baiju Bavra,etc....he is gem of an actor....

What makes the scene even more special is A R Rahman's music and Alka Yagnik's legendary voice which brings so much soul to the scene. The song adds all the emotions to the scene, it wouldn't be as emotional with just their acting alone.
Korbin and Ashley swaying to the music in perfect synchronisation at 11:49 is the cutest thing I have seen in a while

Director Imtiaz Ali is a favourite. He is so so down to earth. Had the fortune of meeting him twice. He's much underrated.

Imtiaz is the director because of whom Deepika is what she is today. Because the first film that sky rocketed her career and made her a serious actor and made people take her seriously was 'Cocktail'. It was directed by some other director and Deepika was offered the other main girl's role in that love triangle,( the character which people soon forgot) but because Deepika trusted imtiaz as a good person and who would advise her well that which character she should choose as her previous films could not do very well. Imtiaz then advised her to take the role of Veronika in the film ( which was a slightly negative one) instead of Meera. That one role worked all the wonders in the world for her. And she had loads of good roles in the biggest films and the industry had its new superstar.
I sent a request for this while back when you guys reacted to "Agar Tum Saath Ho" music video. Finally excited to see this on the channel!!!!

Laila Majnu, 2018...Screenplay by Imtiyaz Ali.. it's a great movie too. Do read what is the original story of 'Laila Majnu' before you watch it...The original story is symbolically in the plot. Watch it...Won't regret.
If Tamasa released now maybe it's got more recognition.

I love him great director i also love that Rick that he differentiates between bipolar and bipolar behavior because i heard someone say he was a bipolar character and I know he was not.
Its a real scene.......ranbirs dilemma and repenting came out in this scene....i think imtiaz made this film for both of them..to bring their ex relationship into conclusion...since imtiaz was a insider....he made this film specially for ranbir....but unfortunately couldnt happen...an introvert guys sorrow cannot be understood by anyone except someone the most closest like (male friends)
Hands down one my all time favourite films. It’s a shame that a talented director like Imtiaz Ali is now making shallow films like JHMS and Love Aaj Kal (new).

The only movie director in India whose movies are being anxiously awaited because of the name director. Actors don't matter if it's an Imtiaz Ali Film. He has made this cult through his brilliance!
He is not the only one. There are many other directors whose movies are awaited not only in Hindi but other languages. Rajkumar Hirani, Anurag Kashyap, SS Rajamouli (he made a blockbuster movie with a housefly as the hero!!!), Vetri maran etc.
@@sunjyoth but imtiazs films hit differently....all others u mentioned show the journey of the character...but imtiaz is an expert in showing with and within the characters....all u mentioned are also the school of art......
One more thing that you guys need to know is that, there was a time when Deepika was Dating Ranbir. Although they broke up after some time but the chemistry between both of them is probably also because they were in love once.

Not many people 'got' this movie coz it wasn't the typical 'masala' -spiced up drama, no-brainer. But it's one of my favorites...very intense and realistic subject - that each n every one of us deals with - either actively - or passively - thru'iut our lives😐.
N no one can pull characters off like Ranbir does - for this kinda personality n those in Roy, Sid, and those of a Kabir (Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani) n Ayan (We Dil Hai Mushkil). Coming back to Tamasha - great watch..keep watching 👍🙂

The behaviour that ranbir’s character portrays in this film is shown to be because of his routine life,job etc..But in reality,many ppl do behave like that and the reason is “duniyadari”..Its just what happens when u become an adult and see the world..U dont show ur true self to others coz u r afraid of rejections,negativity,heartbreak..u show a society approved proper version of urself and thats how this talking to urself also develops coz u hide a part of urself within u..Its a movie ,so things are exaggerated but if it was real life,that guy wouldn’t be able to survive engineering,job nd all for so many years if he hated it so much..and even if he left his job it would take years for him to gain the confidence to start a theater and then another set of years for it to be successful..In reality,the professional part of our life dont affect us as much as our personal life and the ppl around us and thats the reason for ppl to change their personalities entirely.
