But, the EU failed to make reasonable laws, like, restricting ALL immigration to people who can read, write, speak English (lingua franca of the EU) and never become citizens and never get any free schools, health care, the dole etc.

The idea that government employees will revolt if they don't like who gets elected is one of the reasons we are in this situation in the first place. Quit your job then, and let someone else take your position. You don't own the government, its up to the voters.
