Apparently referendums are against the French constitution. Who would have thought? But not everything is against the French constitution. Like, for example, threatening people's livelihoods by swamping the country's economy with unchecked newcomers nobody asked for. That one was allowed. So, at least there's a silver lining.
If it means people like you cannot write some of the rubbish l read here ....yes, let's do away with Human Rights... That means yours as well ...... but l guess you never considered that, Just like you thought Freedom of movement didn't apply to you either once Brexit came into force...You turn Gran Britannia into a third Country...well done...
Proportional representation and direct democracy ASAP meaning referendums on all major issues representative politicians can be and are baught and paid for by the so called elites.
I have no idea what is in the French constitution. But I find it difficult to imagine that it directly states that you cannot hold a referendum on immigration. 🤔
Of course it's blocked. Hungary's referendum had a 70%+ turnout and almost 90% said no to accepting migrant quotas. That's as close to a unanimous outcome as it gets in a democracy and giving people choices isn't something any unelected bureaucrat wants.
Spot on and more and more of us are speaking out. That's what Brexit was all about but of course government (blue or red) don't want to stray from the WEF agenda (more unelected bureaucrats). Well said sir.
A referendum is a stalling tactic and regardless they already know what the French want the same as British and the Dutch and most other countries in the eu
@@111111877 I don't know that much about it... but I do know that you don't see swiss politicians in the limelight swaggering around on the globalist stages like they're some big deal. I doubt most people could name a Swiss pm (or whatever they have - president perhaps)
Everyone wants one but they won't get one because they know the answer. God forbid you give the people a say. They did that once and won't make that mistake again.
Referendums should be the norm for ANY major change in ANY democratic/republican country that will affect the majority of it's citizens...just like Switzerland does!
Michael you're in or near the inner circle. I hope you're an English lad with spuds. It's gonna be our generation that sorts this out. I hope you know what needs to be done. 👍
But how to get rid of people in a civilized way? The west likes to restrict itself to be always fair and moderate, unlike the rest of the world. Elsewhere they just expel individuals from their countries as they like. How would you do it in the west in a way that will be morally acceptable to most people?
Same for Australia. We went from a 95% Anglo European population, a high trust, well integrated culture, to a nation of multiple cultures living in isolated racial pockets with three quarters of the country saying. 'Nobody ever asked us if we wanted this'.
Since the UK 2016 BREXIT referendum - referendums are feared by politicians, they saw just how quickly they lose control and fear it happening again. I can't see any country in the EU getting any chance of a voluntary referendum. The EU would freak! Don't forget the transition to EU power through the Lisbon treaty was first floated as a European constitution and rejected by national referendum in several countries, so they converted it to a treaty and got the politicians to sign it instead. They always bypassed public opinion and national electoral concerns. The last thing the EU, ECHR or any of those super governmental agencies want is democracy on any level.
@daveofyorkshire301 Valuable perspective in your comment. Thanks 👏. I hope you post observations regularly - because the pace of change in our world, and the volume of information filtering we all have to do, means we're inclined to forget events. Who precipitated the event and who benefited. Last decade almost seems aeons ago!
That's the issue of mass migration going unchecked for as long as possible. Even if they were to get a referendum, how many voters with migrant backgrounds will vote in favor of borders? The more they can pile in, the more resistant the voter base will be to stopping it.
Lived in France for a long time. Referendums there are for the peanut gallery as what ever the result, it's ignored if the powers that be be don't get the outcome they want. FACT. Nobody remembers the full on shock that turned to ridicule after the Brexit vote from that country. They couldn't understand why the result was NOT overturned and did their level best to destroy it, with much success... Selective memory perhaps....
In Hungary we already had a referendum on immigration back in 2015. You know... when opinions actually mattered. You need deportations now, not referendums. Everyone knows this, because everyone is smarter in hind sight. If your leader candidates are still in the phase of threatening each other by asking people's opinion on the obvious, then they're clearly not interested in actually doing anything about it yet. You probably still got years left before they decide to act.
These videos are informative, timely and concise. Consider a fresh shave and a dress shirt. A plant, flowers or a flag or colourful picture in the background. Thanks for another honest European moment.
The French constitution CAN be revised with 3/5 vote of both houses of Congress. Macron's party and the National Rally comfortably pass that threshold. But Macron's government has said nothing about introducing an referendum amendment. Once again, lots of big talk but no action. Where have we seen that before?
Democracy is failing. Problem being the moderate left can't seem to make a deal with the moderate right so you need up far-left and left wing only. That leads to imbalance and like anything in life that leads to problems.

France needs a new Republic, Constitution and be Federal as most French are sick of being completely ruled from Paris and looked down upon like peasants. The form of governance they have and attitudes of the elites are now worse than it was before the revolution. 1789 and its legacy has caused the damage it is facing today If De Gaulle was around today he’d champion Marine Le Pen despite the hostility between him & Jean Marie.
