@@bodylastics I also found this as a great tip because I used it on the wrong side of the door, was very tired when installing it and because I wasn't paying attention went right off and hit me in the head😅😅
Soon to be 69 year old Grammy here. Just got my set today and had no clue what those were for. Thank you so much for explaining AND showing how to use them. Can’t wait to get started with them.
I just bought my first resistance band kit and was wondering how the anchor works. Thanks for the explanation! I'm looking forward to finding some good exercises now. Gonna use these when I don't get to the gym. Never tried them before, but looking forward to getting started!
Thank goodness for this video. Ordered a set from Amazon that literally came with no instructions. Glad I found your video as I had it totally backwards. Thanks a lot!
bought it from Germany 2-3 years and could not figure it out :) !! you saved me!!! You should consider taking a job as a host or something :) Thank you, very positive energy!!
Thank you so much for the info! I have never used resistance bands and when my order came in there was nothing! No instructions on how to use the door or ankle attachments, no first-time use information, and no manual. I will definitely check out your other videos!
Super! You have answered a big question for me regarding door anchors. I wondered at first if the equipment, when used, would weaken wooden door frames and plasterboard walls even in the typical modern property. 'No' appears to be the answer. It's more likely to be the equipment that suffers, or oneself! You've been honest enough to alert us to fraying and to order the bigger wedge when we notice it's starting to tear. Thanx, much appreciated!
The door anchor always seem to be for door that were manufactured a long time ago. The newer homes have these super tall skinny doors where the door jams are pretty unreachable. I have just put it through the regular side of the door then deadbolted the door closed. All my doors are these skinny tall doors so it is pretty challenging. I look for the thicker anchors so they don't slide as much because I have to anchor them differently due to construction. I could put an outside deadbolt style lock and anchor it that way, it might give it something to catch on. Great video though. Thank you.
just starting to use these. trying to get set up to be able to use these in my RV. I am 79 years old and want to maintain as much strength as I can by using these and supplementing my aerobic exercise of walking and bike riding.
72 year old woman here. Just learning about these things that my daughter sent me. Eager to begin but learned a few things here. Now to find exercises that are baby beginner level to get started.
I love workout 💜but never been a fan of the gym especially now with covid ,love that u said can do same exercises like the ones in the gym ,awesome, love resistant bands thanks 4 sharing💜
I feel so stupid lmao. I bought some of these and they came with zero instructions and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to use it on the door. UA-cam saving the day again.
Thanks. Introducing such a tool was useful for me who was searching a cheap, effective, flexible tools to make for meself and do my shoulder and neck exercises at home. Really thanks. Good Luck! 👍
Thank U so much 4 such a clear N straight 2 the point Explanation, N Ur full of energy Attitude. I'll start immediately to use my Res. Bands at home safely N away from annoying Covid at gyms.
Are these strong enough for internal doors in the house or just the external door? I live in an apartment with cheap doors, but I'm wondering if it will rely on the strength of the door jamb instead.
Nice ! I have both these types, use them all the time. One suggestion : Also add a carabiner to the door anchor loop, just as you correctly did with the ends of the band - it helps a lot to prevent wear and tear on the bands, also if you're using the flat kind
Nice video! My bands just arrive this week. I didn't think it'd be a good idea to anchor the bands on the hinge side where the door open towards you. Thanks!
I have a door anchor like type 1 (as per order shown in the video) and I can't close the door when I feed it in the hinge gap - seems to be too thick to allow the door to close :(
I've bought an EZ Toned set and it's excellent but aren't all these anchor point products predicated on people having doors with huge great gaps at the sides?
I'm waiting fro the bands from Body Lastics and excited to get it and use it soon. I do have an issue - my door isn't very sturdy and has two hinges towards the bottom and top. Many of your excersies, ask for chest level or knee level for the anchor. The anchor would keep sliding up and down as I pull. Is there a better way to do this' I don't have the full door anchor. Please advise.
