Mr. Ding (the guy who made Noxlux 50/1.1) is making a modernized W-Nikkor 35/1.8 housed in a leica-like body called Pactcron 35/1.8.

You made me buy this lens in Nikon S mount on the Nikon SP 2005. It was a cheap deal I couldn’t pass up on. Half price.

Thanks. I am trying to learn about 39mm vs LTM mount as now have a Russian RF 35mm with 50mm, a NICCA 3 with 50mm Niccor & 135mm Steinhall and a Leica M-3 with 35, 50 & 135mm bayonet Leitz lenses. I read that they are not all the same thread mount & hope to avoid damage.

Excellent video thanks. Gorgeous lens and it got me curious - I found one on eBay with Leica mount for only $14,999.99 USD!! That's right $15K, wow. I think I'll stick with my Voigtlander and Summicron!

I have one in Nikon S mount (the 2005 multicoated version), and they are very impressive lenses great color rendering and great contrast in Black and white. You should look into the Komura lenses, their 35mm f2.8 (only available in Nikon S mount to my knowledge) is comparable in many ways to the the Nippon Kogaku 35mm f1.8.

I own this lens but it's original hood is even rarer than the lens itself.

Thanks Ash! Ed always a great model. Xenotar’s are some of my favorite rendering lenses especially for the highlight to shadow transition roll off.
