I found this video while searching for “simple outdoor workbench” on UA-cam. I was able to get all the materials from my local Lowes for around $100 (3/17/23). I built this in about 3 hours, including the cutting - using a circular saw. Your instructions were extremely helpful, as well as the purchase and cut lists. I introduced my 9-year old daughter into woodworking with this project and she had a good time learning how to drill the holes and measuring the cuts. Overall, a very solid piece. Thank you for the idea and video!
My grandson (16 yrs) and I built the potting bench. We had a great time together and he is so proud. Me too. Thanks for your concise instructions. We just followed along each step with you and it turned out great.
Excellent video, and like others I spent many hours reviewing the video. The plans were easy to follow and the purchasing list as well as the cutting list were extremely helpful. I pulled out my 30 year old plus Craftsman Chop saw instead of using the power saw. I purchased new countersinks, and a orbital sander. I had some assistance carrying the lumber and setting up. As I am in southwest Florida, it wasn't possible to work a full day due to the heat and the eventual rain. I did modify the bench. rather than making the 45 degree cut for the bottom supports, I simply made butt joints. I used my belt sander to round off the edges. I still need to do some additional sanding, but the rain has prevented that. I also used wood filler for the splits and for some errant predrilled holes. Lastly, I am 84 years old, and if I was able to complete this project, anyone can do it. The potting bench is extremely strong, and very, very heavy especially if you are using pressure treated lumber. Thank you again, for your concise well-thought out plans and video.
Thank you Patrick for this amazing detailed instructional Poting Bench Project. The added shopping list, tools needed, cut list and design drawing makes it easy for first time builders such as me!🎉
THANK YOU!!! THANKYOU!!! My Wife is going to get this for MOTHER'S DAY!!! I made it in a day and half.... WOW!!! For a 68 year old that's pretty good!!!
Randy Kniebes same gift for my wife and I’m working at 72. It weighs a ton so I’ll need my son and a couple of grandchildren to move it out of the garage where I built it. Happy Mother’s Day to the mothers. Cheers
Randy, you are the man! I am so glad that this video helped you out to give your wife the perfect Mothers Day gift. And, age does not matter when you are being creative and building something! I wish you the best on future projects!!
Hi Bruce, did you send me pics of this or am I thinking of someone else? I would love to see pics of the bench with re-purposed wood. I think it is so cool that you did this. patrick@pcowoodcrafting.com
Outstanding video! I followed precisely. My experience: 1) 4x4 from HD REALLY warped, you may have to use your leg to bend and fit the 45 degree cuts . At first I thought I had cut wrong. 2) when fitting the 3 top shelf boards, it was easier to fit the first one with proper overhang, screw it in, and use as a guide for the other two.
I just finished building one of these. We are using it to hold our Aquaponics System and it is EXTREMELY durable. This will hold our fish tanks for years! Here is my feedback on the build. Parts list and cut dimensions were perfect! I was able to give the list to the gentleman in the lumber section of Lowes and he easily pulled the wood and cut everything but the 4x4 posts and the 45 degree angles. But there is plenty of remnants on the 2x4s to leave a bit extra so I could cut them at home. The assembly order was tedious. In hindsight I would have preferred to build the sides first and then working my way up. Putting the top on first and then the bottom rails wasn't ideal. But everything went together as shown in the video. I built mine as shown in the video. The only two modifications we made was the back piece of the top section split when we tried to put it in places. So I just cut the ends flush and screwed it down. The second modification was a 4" hole was drilled through the top on the right side to allow the plumbing of the top grow bed to drip down into the bottom fish tank. The 6" board are still very stable since I only took 2" from the two center boards. I would recommend having a door or trap on the top right side of the table to allow people to put a grate or screen on the table for potting. It's a simple mod and I might do that on my next build. Oh yeah, I will be building at least two more of these if not three. They are perfect work benches! Thanks for the plans, great job!
Thank you for all of your recommendations Jerry, very well taken and I hope the viewers read your post to get your insight on this project. Thank you for sharing.
I finished my bench tonight and love it! This was my first woodworking project and your step-by-step instruction was easy to follow. I’m excited to pick my next project now! Thanks so much!!
Holly, this is so awesome. Your first woodworking project! I wish you the best on all of your new projects. If you could build this, you can build anything! Glad you liked the video!
Just finished making this. This was probably the best woodworking instructional video I’ve seen, thanks for all the detail and step-by-step guide! I made it by playing it step by step and pausing the video - about 1,000 times. : ) Also, the shopping list and cut list were super helpful. I did end up using only 1x6’s for all three flat surfaces, instead of 1x4’s on the top. Also, Home Depot hadn’t even heard of “5/4 deck boards” but the 1x6’s seem fine. Next I think I’ll put some water proofing on it.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It’s the perfect potter’s workbench for me. And thank you for the helpful list. My husband and I are eager to get this built. Many blessings to you for your generosity.
I Just finished making the potting bench with some modifications. Thank you for a great plan to go by. I shortened it by a foot and used cedar decking on the top. Also added some casters on the legsIt's a birthday gift for my daughter-in-law and I'm sure she'll love it. Be happy to share a picture if I could.
Hi Stu, This is great! Your modifications sound really good, I am sure it looks great and I am sure your daughter-in-law will love it! Glad to help. You can always email me a picture by going to my website, click on contact and click on the email tab. I would love to see it.
Just wanted to say a huge thanks for this video. It was my first big project at our first house and it turned out great. I modified the size so it fit perfectly into the greenhouse.
I LOVE this bench! And being a woman that has never built anything really on my own- I now am a widow with my own place so I am going to build it. Yes I said "build it" not - try it, not attempt it.. I am going to build it. (yikes- I feel committed) but I think I can do it. Will let you know when I am done!! Wish me luck!! =)
Just what I was looking for! I love that this bench is heavy duty and uses pressure treated wood to stand up to years of outdoor use. Very good instructional video. I have my list, now off to the store!
Thanks for the video! I made this to your specs last fall with mostly reclaimed wood from my deck replacement and a few odd pieces I had from other projects. I only needed to buy the 4x4s and a couple of the 5/4 boards for the table top. I even stained it with leftover deck stain. It's very sturdy and just what I wanted. I had a ton of compliments on it, so I shared your video! I'm shorter than you, so I'm going to tip it on its front then back to trim off the bottom 4-5" of the legs and make it better for my height. It's pretty heavy, but I was able to move it around by myself and level it perfectly where I wanted it. I may move it later, but it's done and very sturdy, and it's been doing the work for several months now!! Thanks again for such a great video!!
Thank you Sir you for your detailed instructions so precise even with drilling for screws I wish there were more wood worker who could do the same .love your videos keep up the good work it like having your favorite woodworking instructor on the net Thank you once again.
Great video which has inspired to make one of my own. The tips in the method really speed things up! One thing I added a back board to the design from the table half way up to the top shelf so potting compost doesn't fall down the back.
Great video and great bench. I built this Unit 12 inches smaller to fit my space and it is perfect! Your instructions were easy to follow and I learned a lot! Thanks!
Well, count me among the those who have built this potting bench. We (wife and I) decided we wanted one for our garden, and after watching this video I decided to try building it. We managed to find all of the lumber, pressure-treated, from THD. Cost was approximately $250 for materials and a couple of tools (e.g. a counter-sinking drill bit). We printed the plans from the link provided and I think we probably spent a total of about 5-6 hours putting it all together. The only difficulty I had was placing the top shelf over the two posts. I think I might have built the top shelf slightly too short, but I managed to chisel out about 1/16" of material on the inside/underneath the top shelf and got it to fit onto the posts. We finished sanding down the rough edges and removing pencil marks from the wood. While the wood is pressure treated, we are still going to stain the horizontal surfaces just to make it look pretty. I need to do some research to find out what stain is best for outdoors on pressure treated wood. (suggestions are welcome) Patrick, and/or PCO Woodcrafting, I am super grateful for these plans! Thank you so much! I have seen similar products at garden stores that range from cheap and flimsy to solid but extremely expensive. This ended up being both inexpensive and solid.
I'll try and send a picture. Unfortunately I am in law school and since I didn't get this done before the semester started it is likely it will sit there now until summer break. But I am still excited to build it! I have everything bought & ready to go.
Jenny, you do not have to worry about when you will build this potting bench. Although it may be a great creative escape from your hard studies in law school. I wish you well with all of your schooling and I am confident that you will make an outstanding attorney when all is said and done. PS I would love it if you sent me a pic of the final project but, no pressure. Great luck to you!
Congrats Jenny, I am sure you are going to enjoy it for many years. The best way to send me a pic is to email it.You can do this by going to my website and click on contact and there will be a email link you can use. www.pcowoodcrafting.com
Thanks Gus, I actually need to make more videos to get subscribers. I plan on doing that in the fall of this year. It is to hot where I am at to film now. Wishing you and your family well!
Thank you Patrick. I made this potting bench by following your instructions, and it came out beautifully. I hope you can make some more videos in the future : ) All the best and thank you again.
I just made this table and I love it! Took 1.5 days with help from hubby. I repurposed lumber i had from a prior house project so it's a little rustic looking which I like, and the table is super sturdy with lots of room to work and decorate my beautiful potting bench.
@@gemajams Thank you for your nice comment Gem! I am so glad that you built it and I am also glad that you used repurposed lumber. That is the way to go and sve some money as well. Thank you for your kind comments.
Great video, Patrick! The tutorial was great and I appreciated you explaining tool usage. I don’t have all the gadgets, but have put them on my birthday and Christmas wish list. I am substituting wood for up cycled stuff I have on hand. I am physically handicapped, so having a tutorial that makes things easier and organized makes you my new favorite craftsman! I hope to have this project finished in a couple of days and will let you know how I fared!
Hi Kitty, thank you so much for your very kind comments. I am glad you liked the video and the way I described things. My goal was to make things as simple as possible. I wish you the best with this project! Happy building!
+Dalibor Saula Thank you Dalibor, the garden behind me is years of love to my plants. I appreciate your kind words in this post. Patrick PS thanks for your compliments of my post!
Wow That’s for the plans they worked to the tee and your tutorial was awesome the bench cam out great evening loved it. I went a step further and installs it on casters.
Best how to video I've seen so far! Like how u pointed out the cuts w actual bench first, great visual that made this project so much easier, good job well done 👍🏻🤘
Hi Roy, sorry you had a hard time finding the deck boards in your area. SoCal does have different lumber than most of the US, it is mostly cedar around your parts so, I hope you find something that works for you.You can always use 1x6 boards but they are thin, the next option is using 2x6 boards which actually are stronger and will make your bench more durable. Other viewers did make their benches using the 2x cedar material and they came out awesome.
Hey, I know this is an old post, but I was looking for a garden bench and found it. You've done a great job on the video and the directions, with drawing, shopping list and cut list. Thanks so much for doing this! I've purchased the pieces and will be cutting and assembling soon!!
This was the most amazing thing! We put this beautiful and incredibly sturdy potting bench together in about 4 hours - two of us. The predrilled holes were the key! Just amazing. I've never worked with wood before and husband has limited knowledge. Not anymore. And, fwiw, here's the cost in Maryland 2023: Lumber: $170. Nails etc $30. So, for right around $200 you'll have a fantastic bench! Wish there were more videos but, with your skills, we know you are busy! Hint: would love a birdhouse...ha ha.
Just made this is and it turned out amazing! you weren’t kidding about the back board breaking easy! Yea, I had to go get another one! haha Wish you had more videos of different projects but thanks for this one atleast!
Hi Robert, I am glad your bench turned out amazing and sorry you had to get another board because of the back board breaking. This has happened to me allot, thats why I showed it. I guess we live and learn, lol. I do plan on uploading more videos in the near future, I did not realize that this was going to be such a hit. Thanks for your kind words! Patrick
+Regina Dansbee Thank you Regina! I am not sure if you are going to build this potting bench but, if you do I hope you enjoy building it and enjoy using it. It will last you a lifetime. Patrick
This is a great instructional video...really appreciate the step by step detail and you do such fine work! I've been in search of well planned instructions and this style potting bench for awhile. So, I'm using your video and shopping list to make one. :) Thank you for taking the time to share!
New subscriber. I enjoyed your well-organised method & clear, easy-to-follow presentation style, esp the cutting, as I struggle with the organisational side of cutting myself. Production quality is excellent, I'd really love to see more videos from you. My only feedback (& it's about videos in general, not yours in particular) is that it would be nice, if occasionally in videos on the world wide web, Americans could reciprocate/remember that the rest of the world has used the metric system for over 50yrs & all of our timber is sold in millimetres.
Hi Joanne, I have been asked about this before from people just like you from Europe and other parts of this earth. In my next videos I will be showing metric cuts and measurements. Please forgive me for not doing it on this video, I had no idea that it would reach the world. Thank you for your kind comment and constructive criticism.
Sorry about that Max but I do this woodcrafting thing for a living and have been very busy. I will have a new video out in a week or so on how to build those sawhorses that I was using. Forgive me for the delay.
I just had a great email from a viewer requesting the size of the screws I use. If you are in the United States the screw size to use is coated #9x3" screws and #9x2"screws. The #9 stands for the thickness of the screw. Hope this helps all of you.
Hi Sedonia, it is great that you asked this question because so many people want to build my sawhorses and this past January I made a video on how to build them. Here is the link or just go to my channel to find it. ua-cam.com/video/JpbNU3zujUU/v-deo.html
I just found this, thank you! But you know, if you don't have the jigsaw you could just cut a smaller deck board for the back row, or make the top entirely flat, and then attach a shelf separately on top. But I like the strength of the 4x4s in the back for the shelf
Thank you for the video. Excellent quality! Great shopping and cut list. I watched many potting bench videos before deciding to use yours. I'm almost done building the bench. Just have to secure the bottom shelf boards (last step for me), then sanding. I made a few modifications for my bench. One of which is using the entire length of the 4x4x8 which made the height of the small shelf at 5' high in stead of 4'. And I dropped the bottom shelf to just 4" off the ground to give me less leg and more height between the bottom and top shelf. And, I put 1x4s across the back to give me a place to hang small hand gardening tools. Thanks again. I was just wondering, why did you cut the front boards at the bottom to 45 degree angles? Simply for esthetics or was there a reason? I left mine square. Although my bench will be sitting on concrete, in a place where water is no issue, I took your suggestion and added the rubber feet on the bottom of the legs.
Hi Dr.John and Yvonne. I see that you have gone above and beyond with your potting bench, which is fantastic! I look forward to pictures of your bench! As the bottom shelf is concerned I actually cut the 45 degree cuts for esthetics. So no worries that you kept them square. Thank you for watching.
I really like how you did the video. Has the norm Abrams new yankee workshop kind of feel to it. Since you’re showing the finished piece and explaining details in between clips of you making it
Hi Kittie, you can install a small bar sink on either side of the bench top. the cut out size is 15"x15". In order to make it fit best, is to have your front cut out line as close to the inside top 2x4 support as you can. You can install the sink after the whole bench is finished and use the provided template that comes with your sink to draw your cut out lines, then use a jig saw to cut the hole. The downfall of all of this is that the faucet will be a little under the back shelf of the bench so, make sure when buying your faucet that it fits under the shelf. I hope this helped you out a bit.
Thats cool Ronnie, I totally understand. You can use some of the building techniques that I showed to build something that you have designed. Up to you.
great, easy project for getting a bench up and going for my greenhouse. thank you. by chance do you have Any plans for a slightly longer table with a dry sink for soil?
Me too Graham Ball- Hope you have a fun and a great project! how are you coming? Or are you finished? would love to see or hear how your doing!! I'll be starting mine in about a month. Just about to move in!!!
@@JimnyRicardo ha! I don't have an indoor space to build. I was counting on fall weather and build in my carport. Well, we went from the heat of summer to the ice storms and freezing temps and snow of winter. Sooo- this particular project has been on hold until - hopefully a nice Spring. But who knows. Thanks for asking!! :)
Hi Todd, this will work as a patio bar/prep bench or whatever you want it to be. Please keep in mind that you will need to use pressure treated yellow pine if you live in the United States.
Hi Mary, I hope you had a chance to build it with your Grandson, the bottom rubber feet you can get at any box store or hardware store, they are called castor supports and you can find them in the hardware section of your hardware store.
Hi Jenny, the deck rails are stained with "Olympic" redwood natural tone oil based water sealer. Here is a link to help you out. www.olympic.com/stain-colors/toner-stains/redwood-naturaltone-olystain311 BTW, glad you liked the video, Patrick
Awesome- I'll have to look and see what else you have built- You ARE very easy to understand and to listen to and not too fast or not too MUCH talking (have seen those too) yours is awesome! thanks so much!!
Hi Mio, You can put wheels. Either 2 inch caster wheels under all four legs or 4 inch larger wheels attached to the back leg posts to move it around like a wheel barrel. It is a pretty heavy bench so, try to get good quality casters or wheels. Thank you for your nice comment!
Great video Patrick! Thank you for sharing! I will build this for repotting my bonsai. Have you made bonsai stands or benches before? Would love to see a tutorial on that! Take care. 🙏🏼
Hi UnoStar, Actually in this video I feature my own bonsai trees on stands during the clip where I show the lumber needed. I have had other requests for these and I will put it on my list to film. Stay posted.
@@Pcowoodcrafting very cool! Currently, I use pallets on top of cinderblocks but I would love to have benches like yours one day. Very beautiful! Great trees by the way! It's always a joy to talk with other bonsai practitioners!

Exactly what I’ve been looking for for my new greenhouse! Can’t wait to build this!
Great Leanne, I hope you have had a chance to build it! I am sure it will be perfect for your greenhouse!
Great video and great bench. I built this Unit 12 inches smaller to fit my space and it is perfect! Your instructions were easy to follow and I learned a lot! Thanks!
Thanks K G I sure do appreciate your kind accolades. I hope you are enjoying your potting bench!
(suggestions are welcome)
Patrick, and/or PCO Woodcrafting, I am super grateful for these plans! Thank you so much! I have seen similar products at garden stores that range from cheap and flimsy to solid but extremely expensive. This ended up being both inexpensive and solid.
What a great tutorial. I may give this a try this afternoon as I just got my greenhouse assembled so I am ready to start planting!
Thank you Jenny! I hope the project goes well for you!
PCO Woodcrafting I finished it and it's aw some but can't figure out how to send you a pic
Congrats Jenny, I am sure you are going to enjoy it for many years. The best way to send me a pic is to email it.You can do this by going to my website and click on contact and there will be a email link you can use.

This man should have a lot more subscribers, great vid and thanks for the pdf plans.
Thanks Gus, I actually need to make more videos to get subscribers. I plan on doing that in the fall of this year. It is to hot where I am at to film now. Wishing you and your family well!
Excellent video - thanks for producing it and making it available! I'm going to build this one for my back yard.
Thank you Grady, I hope you have built it by now?? If not I am sure you will have it on your bucket list. Wishing you the best!
Thank you Patrick. I made this potting bench by following your instructions, and it came out beautifully. I hope you can make some more videos in the future : ) All the best and thank you again.
Hi Michael, I am so glad you made the bench and it came out to your liking. Yes, I hope to do more videos in the future.
Awesome table! Most important your instruction and explanation was magnificent. Great video.
Love the garden behind you. The tutorial is also very easy to follow. Thanks for uploading
+Dalibor Saula Thank you Dalibor, the garden behind me is years of love to my plants. I appreciate your kind words in this post. Patrick
PS thanks for your compliments of my post!
Thanks Patrick. Easy to follow. Made mine in a day. Love it
Very cool Paul! I am so happy that the video helped you out.
I just made this potting bench and love it! Thank you for the detailed instructions & the printable list with drawings!
Thank you for your nice comment BendviewFarm, I hope you have been enjoying your bench!
Great instructions. Thanks for the share, I plan to use for BBQ prep area.
Thank you Mark! This is perfect for your BBQ area. Wishing you the best on the project! If you have already built it, PLEASE send me pics.
Wow That’s for the plans they worked to the tee and your tutorial was awesome the bench cam out great evening loved it. I went a step further and installs it on casters.
Thank you so much Peter, I am so glad everything worked out for you. Adding the castors was a great idea, the bench is a heavy one.
Love potting table. I will try to make it using pallets. ❤
Thank you Sir for this video,I will be making this on my next day off.
Your welcome, Loti, ummm have you built it yet? LOL wishing you the best.
Best how to video I've seen so far! Like how u pointed out the cuts w actual bench first, great visual that made this project so much easier, good job well done 👍🏻🤘
Thanks JB, I am glad the video worked well for you! I hope you build it and enjoy it for many years! Patrick
I love this project and I’m going to do it. I’ve had a really hard time finding the deck boards her in SoCal. Going to have to improvise.
Thats awesome Jim, I hope the bench turns out great for you!
Patrick
Amazing video! Thanks for the attention to detail and easy to follow directions 👍
Glad it was helpful Sean!

Awesome video! Great work going step by step through the installation. Mine turned out great 👍
Thank you Ryan, I am glad you liked the video and always glad to help.
Patrick
You are awesome!! Hope you have done more- I am going to search although THIS project first! For sure!!
Thank you Patty, I hope you may have built this by now. Please forgive me for my late response.
Awesome video. Very clear instructions and easy to follow.
Thanks Alex, I hope you are going to build it! Wishing you well. Patrick
I am going to do it Patrick!! Such good instructions- and showing everything needed- I feel empowered!!! I AM going to do it! Can't wait!!
what a Great tutorial, and awsesome bench! I just built one!! YAY!!
Hi Christie and Steve, I am so glad that this tutorial worked out for you! I hope you are enjoying your potting bench!!
Thank you, Patrick
Very enjoyable build. Thank you.

That's great Joseph! I hope the video helped you out on your potting table!! Thank you!
Great tutorial!!! You explained every step of the project. Thank you so much.
+Regina Dansbee Thank you Regina! I am not sure if you are going to build this potting bench but, if you do I hope you enjoy building it and enjoy using it. It will last you a lifetime. Patrick
I do plan to ATTEMPT to build this potting bench.
Hi Regina, If you do attempt to do this project, please let me know if you have any questions! I will be glad to help.
This is a great instructional video...really appreciate the step by step detail and you do such fine work! I've been in search of well planned instructions and this style potting bench for awhile. So, I'm using your video and shopping list to make one. :) Thank you for taking the time to share!
Thank you SonomaZin, I wish the best of luck on your potting bench. Glad to help out.
This was a great tutorial video. Looking forward to building it! Thanks!

Thank you Tim, If you have any questions during the process, just let me know. Happy building to you! Patrick
Thank you for your kind comment and constructive criticism.
this dude made the best video of all time and then dipped
Sorry about that Max but I do this woodcrafting thing for a living and have been very busy. I will have a new video out in a week or so on how to build those sawhorses that I was using. Forgive me for the delay.
Great Video. Really well explained and easy to follow. I have a commercial grade polytunnel and this is just the idea I was looking for. Thank you!
Your welcome Kevin. I am sure this bench will be perfect for your greenhouse.
Love this. Very well made and instructional thanks
Thank you alderete74. Hope you try to build it!
Many thanks for sharing this.
Thanks GS, I hope you thought about building it and, if you did... enjoy!
I followed your instructions and it came out perfect!
That is fantastic Alonso! I am so happy that you where able to build it. It will last you a long time.
I just had a great email from a viewer requesting the size of the screws I use. If you are in the United States the screw size to use is coated #9x3" screws and #9x2"screws. The #9 stands for the thickness of the screw. Hope this helps all of you.
How did you make the wood horses
Hi Sedonia, it is great that you asked this question because so many people want to build my sawhorses and this past January I made a video on how to build them. Here is the link or just go to my channel to find it. ua-cam.com/video/JpbNU3zujUU/v-deo.html
Hi Sedon, If you go to my channel page I posted a video on how to build those saw horses.
Patrick
Thank you so much for your video. Love your bonsai as well - Perhaps one day there will be a video and instructions for the bonsai benches!
Thank you OG, I am glad you liked the video. I will go ahead and put the Bonsai benches on my list. Thanks for the idea!
Awesome work!! Thank you!
Thank you RL, Hope you are doing ok through things. :)
Great job on the video and the plans. Great inspiration. I adjusted mine on the width and kept the depth. Now to sand and stain. Thanks Again !!!
Liked the 2x4 braces on the bottom. The way they spanned on the exterior of the posts made it easy to install wothout constant measurement.
Great S R, I am glad the video helped you out!
Thank you. Now I know how to make me a potting bench.
+carlos trevino Thank you Carlos, I wish you the best with your new potting bench!! Patrick
I just found this, thank you! But you know, if you don't have the jigsaw you could just cut a smaller deck board for the back row, or make the top entirely flat, and then attach a shelf separately on top. But I like the strength of the 4x4s in the back for the shelf
Great tip! Plen122, I hope all of the viewers see you comment. It is a great recommendation!
I love this video so much!!
Awesome video! Thanks!
Your welcome Jeffrey, glad to help!
Since you’re showing the finished piece and explaining details in between clips of you making it
Gosh thanks Rick Z ! What a nice compliment. Norm is pretty much an idol for me so, I appreciate your kind words. Glad you liked it!
This is good stuff...well done ...good lookin out.
Heading to the lumber yard !!!
Thanks for the time and effort on the video...again well done.
L/S
Thanks L/S! Enjoy your bench!
I wanted to install a sink into mine. additional suggestions to support one would be awesome, thank you
Hi Kittie, you can install a small bar sink on either side of the bench top. the cut out size is 15"x15".
Not exactly the design I'm going to build, but this is a great video, thank you!
Sorry, I do not have plans for a longer table. But, you can make it as long as you want and readjust your measurements accordingly.
I like your work and will have a go myself .Thank you.
Thank you Graham, Wishing you the best on this project!!
Me too Graham Ball- Hope you have a fun and a great project! how are you coming? Or are you finished? would love to see or hear how your doing!! I'll be starting mine in about a month. Just about to move in!!!
@@pattijarrett2789 how's your project going? ?
@@JimnyRicardo ha! I don't have an indoor space to build. I was counting on fall weather and build in my carport. Well, we went from the heat of summer to the ice storms and freezing temps and snow of winter. Sooo- this particular project has been on hold until - hopefully a nice Spring. But who knows. Thanks for asking!! :)

Great tutorial. I'm going to build one!
Go for it Sasha! Please send me pics when you are finished!!
Perfect instructions.
Thank you Sander, Are you going to build one? You have to go for it!
Great project. I may use simple 2x4 and pine. I was thinking of using this pattern to create a patio bar prep bench.
Hi Todd, this will work as a patio bar/prep bench or whatever you want it to be. Please keep in mind that you will need to use pressure treated yellow pine if you live in the United States.
Great tutorial, my grandson and I are going to make it. Where did you get those feet? I can’t find any that look that large.
Hi Mary, I hope you had a chance to build it with your Grandson, the bottom rubber feet you can get at any box store or hardware store, they are called castor supports and you can find them in the hardware section of your hardware store.
Very well done....thank you.
Your so welcome Dennis! Thanks for the complement!
Good day! I see your website is down. PLEASE don't take down the UA-cam page. I plan on making this bench this spring once I get all the parts. :)
Awesome 👏
Thank you! Cheers!
Great tutorial, this is a question of something else. Can you please tell me what color stain is the wood rails behind you.
Hi Jenny, the deck rails are stained with "Olympic" redwood natural tone oil based water sealer. Here is a link to help you out.

BTW, glad you liked the video,

Thanks for sharing. You obvious have woodworking experience. Have you thought of doing more videos?
Hi Jeff, thank you for your kind comment. Yes, I do plan on producing more videos this coming summer.
Awesome- I'll have to look and see what else you have built- You ARE very easy to understand and to listen to and not too fast or not too MUCH talking (have seen those too) yours is awesome! thanks so much!!
Brilliant, thanks
Your welcome Jon.
Best instructions ever !! Thank you so much for posting this :)
Marvelous! I love it! Hey Patrick, if I wish to put wheels, it will be fine? What size is convenient for this project? Thank you so much!
PCO Woodcrafting. Thanks a lot for your answer and thanks for sharing this fabulous object of desire! 😁
