Agree on the issue of a too small grid.. After the departure of both Citroën and Lada, I thought FIA would do something to make other manufacturers enter.
I feel like motorsport in general has this fatigue. You have 3 brands competing at WRC, And... how many in WTCC? Hyundai, Honda, Audi surprisingly... and a Chinese Lynk manufacturer. Frenchies not giving a damn, Mazda probably doesn't have the budget... The sport feels like it's dying out thanks to massive multibrand conglomerates...
Well I guess its not just me, but from what I see very few spectators, the grid is 2 times smaller than it used to be, I think its time to admit the new WTCC format is a failure and a big disappointment. Bring back the WTCC 2010 spec. format again !
Still the point is RWD cars, they are just not there and it makes such a interesting fight because FWD and RWD have their strengths and weaknesses. Remember WTCC 2005-2006 Alfa romeo vs BMW !

Glad im not the only one who thinks its more boring now...

Or the FIA could support the TCR format. It's basically 2010 WTCC Spec 2.0 and it's providing great racing.
problem with TCR is that RWD is not allowed ... so big brands like BMW or Mercedes are excluded. I mean the best fights were always FWD vs RWD
Maybe, but TCR isn't lacking in brands: Audi vs Seat vs Alfa vs Honda vs Opel.
Actually the Mercedes A class, which would fit the TCR regs is FWD
