- Ryan Nitz was born and raised in Jupiter, Florida. He started fishing & hunting at a very early age, but it wasn’t until he purchased a Sports Authority Canoe with a minkoda trolling motor that let his wings fly. This craft allowed him to sneak back into the Indian River and learn the nooks and crannies that housed giant breeder snook. From May until September you can find him chucking mullet and zera spooks at 40inch Snook but come fall and winter, he’ll be barefoot in a tree stand targeting Florida Whitetails that look like they fled Ohio.
After receiving his degree, he worked pest control for his girlfriends father’s business and was on track to make that his career. It wasn’t until Ryan appeared on a Saltwater Experience TV show that made him realize the influx of people that wanted to fish with him. After his first guided trip, he’s pursued a career on the water and in the woods and has never looked back. Ryan has a knack for targeting and killing giant whitetails and is one of the deadliest turkey callers and hunters guiding today. To Ryan, there’s nothing more exciting than sharing those moments with clients and showcasing the best of what Florida has to offer with them.

This is the most beautiful I’ve ever experienced
Can’t wait to see the new skiff!…….and keep on growing’…….you are on the right path.
Ryan is an incredible young man. Keep up the good work
Dave Mangum could learn a lot of humility from this great young guide!
This post is regarding Ryan’s outstanding thoughts on “spot ownership”…I still snicker at Mangum calling a spot his intellectual property…
Legend
great stuff!!! He learned from the environment....
Great guest, says he used to throw pins minnows for little snook. I like that. I know pins minnows for trout in the sierras. He says 15 years ago in Jupiter you could find a lot of places to fish, now you can't do that, it is all sea walls and mansions.
I just made it to the end. One of your best guests ever. Ryan is so good because he's not trying to be anything he's not, he's just doing his best to live a good life rewarding life and happy to talk about it. That's admirable, a shining light in terms of what you typically see on youtube, and I wish him every success.
10:12 Andy loses the plot. Come on Andy.
18:00 On snook getting over fished in popular spots. I really like this guy. I hope he turns out like Capt. Jeff and stays real. Andy, let Nicky take a little more of the load, especially with a guest like this who is outside your competitive realm.
The picture he paints for me of fishing a crowded spot with a lot of other boats is really vivid and happens all over I think. It's not really that fun and doesn't feel that good, not sporty, not doing something cool in nature, it just feels like a bunch of larkers hammering on whatever poor fish is down there. Put another way, how many big fish, salmon, snook, stripers, get caught in a 5 acre area with 20 other boats? Yet how often do we see that on social media. Rarely and it's more in the side of the frame.
31:30 This guest is really interesting, it's like he doesn't need anything and he's really strong in his values and perspective. Andy speaking about going from hiring guides to fishing those spots on his own and wondering if he earned them. Does that matter? You missed out on the experience of finding them yourself, like your guests have talked about, like this guest has talked about, on the other hand you got to fish with all these cool people and pursue something you were passionate about. It's like someone says we had the most wonderful marriage for 35 years and then I found out she was cheating on me the whole time. I think to myself, you had 35 years of a wonderful marriage, what are you bitching about. Why look for reasons to not enjoy your fishing. Really loving your content when you get these good guests. Take it from the man.
Yeah it matters. If ya hire guides and go back and fish those spots......YOU SUCK. PERIOD.
Wow
Seawall ? Or the gulf sign?
I want to know who Nickys guide friends are in CHS that only take tourists ;)
