You're scared of the Sound of Silence? Which version? I personally like the one they sing in the first Trolls movie, it's just too bad they don't sing the whole thing. Disturbed's take on it is pretty nice too.
For a minute I thought you guys were talking about Brainscan a 1994 movie with the kid from T2 where he keeps playing a video game on his PC that has him play as a serial killer but the people killed in the game are people that are being killed in his town.
When he first told the story, he said he didn't bring in the book. Not trying to call him out. Memories are tricky, and I would like to know how it went down haha.
Dan pitching his tent when he got Arin all excited about the secret ending to 1983's Sleepaway Camp was the most terrific thing involving sleeping and a camp.

I realized i had trypophobia when i was around 12 (26 years ago). Didn't know what it was at the time but i used to go pick special mushrooms to sell & i had the mushroom bible to make sure i was picking the right ones. Some of the images of different mushrooms in the book gave me an involuntary reaction that made my face tingle & sent chills through my body. Still get the reaction to this day. Like anything dealing with pores i can't deal. That one frog with the babys on its back from planet earth or whatever makes me nauseous. 😢
Was wondering what they'd do for the rest of the episode, when they wrapped up Slayaway Camp early. Silly me, I forgot all the extra room on the VHS shelf.
That doom mod story arin told was already told on the show before, but it's always fun to see them recall stories because the first time was just that long ago and they don't remember it
Sleepaway Camp was also called Nightmare Vacation. I have a shirt of it that I got as a suprise so I had to look up the film. It's got Camp Arawak on the front and 'Staff' written on the back. It does have a crazy twisted premise

"Why would anyone go to the camp everyone got murdered in?" I dunno, the residents of Crystal Lake/Forest Green stuck around for decades even as Jason Vorhees pretty much butchered half the residents.

I'm glad Danny talked about Jason X because my nan (foolishly) thought I could watch it at like, age 10... Me, a scaredy cat, watching THAT. Anyways, that scene with Jason smashing the woman's face after freezing it or something has haunted me, but nobody else remembered it so I truly began to think I had made it up in my head.
The only reason I know the “boyfriends back” song is from band. It was a “pep tune” that we played between plays at sports events. It was really fun to play but I think I’ve only heard the actual song around twice in my life. Haha :)
Some nights I lie awake wondering exactly how many pairs of Ultra High Quality, Comfort tested, Premium Sound Driven pairs of reasonably priced Raycon™️ earbuds The Grumps are actually responsible for directly selling..the world may never know
I feel as if my positioned providence at the first 20 minutes of this release should allow me to have council with the Grump diaspora by saying, 1:1: play Master Detective Archives. 1:2: do not inform Dan of its explicit origins and allow him to wander a Kafkaesque purgatory trying to understand why it is Danganronpa but not. "...butit'sDanganronpathough! Fuc-ARIN---look-fuckin' look at the characters!!! So you're telling me..."

That intro with Arin saying he thought someone played the game before him but couldn't figure out how to start a new game reminded me of something... On a completely unrelated note, they REALLY need to play Inscryption!
This is random but brining this up from the sonic frotniers ep when it was brought up, when yall have time in some future, it would be really cool to see a full playthrough of metal gear rising so dan can hear the awesome music :)
Arin posted a tweet that gave off girlly yas betch vibes and every reply is like some sith lord saying "Join the dark side" or something like "one of us!" And honestly, I'm scared more from that than these spooky games
I like the way Arin told that Doom WAD story the last time. He sounded more defeated when the guy still didn't believe him. "Oh man, you've reall bested me this day!" I wish i could remember which episode that was.

We just watched Sleepaway Camp for the first time the other night. I already knew the ending, but it’s so easy to figure out who the killer is right away in that… at this point it’s surprising if somebody who watches scary/horror movies doesn’t know the ending
Nightmare on Elm Street (the original) is my all time favorite horror movie. After the first movie, Robert Englund as Freddy is basically the only reason to keep watching the series.
To your point about other kids not believing you back in the day, when I was 12 in school I got good at drawing with a mouse in MS paint on Windows XP. I figured out you could fine tune the size of the brush using + and - so I did this one picture of this evil monk with crazy squiggly markings on his face like he was possessed or cursed, dumb subject matter but even looking back objectively it still looks great, dunno how 12 year old me did it. Almost comic book ready. Anyways this one kid in class saw it and I was like "I drew that" and he was like "no you didn't" and all I could say back was "yeah.. I did." It was encouraging and cool that he thought it was so good that another kid couldn't have done it but on the other hand it was infuriating being called a liar.
Dan, I think that “space-age cooling gel” is liquid nitrogen. Jason X though, pinnacle of cinematic quality and art. Great scene too, that poor lady’s face is GONE.

I want a truly scary play.
Yo Hajime, check it out I’m already eating! is today’s backwards phrase
“Why are you telling us?”
I for one, think that's beautiful
I literally just saw that clip in a comp I was watching before I swapped over to this. XD
Coming from their DR2 play through, this brought a smile to my face
*10 minutes of laughter *
Going out to camp crystal lake and recreating the movie for a power hour is honestly a top tier idea
Dan activated my Amazon Echo to play 'Spooky Scary Skeletons'. This feels like a 4th wall immersion breaking experience
Sadly it didn't get me as my Echo's awake word is "Echo"
Did they shiver down your spine though? That's the real question.
Did they make you shake and shudder in surprise?
I remember when Arin first told that "kid who doesn't believe he has the Doom mod book" story. wow I'm old.
i thought i was watching an old video for a second, actually lol
same, got confused
When he first told the story, he said he didn't bring in the book. Not trying to call him out. Memories are tricky, and I would like to know how it went down haha.
This was in the Paper Mario playthrough, right?
Same.

You can tell he only cared about the puzzles.
Dan pitching his tent when he got Arin all excited about the secret ending to 1983's Sleepaway Camp was the most terrific thing involving sleeping and a camp.
dan is the type of guy who is scared by meatspin
All this whole month of ghoul grumps takes me back to 2018 when we got a ton scary games before Christmas

So when an alligator is hungry it has low self-esteem?
How are we supposed to know if it's hungry or not? 😂 You should keep a look out for all water reptiles.

Ironically Arin called Dan a weiner when talking about Sleep Away camp ending 😉

I remember him summing up the story with the line "Ugh, he really bested me!"

'Arin' : "I'm Stupid!" 27:51
Took him almost 2min exactly to change his mind. I love this guy ❤
