Well, its not exactly right. What he said was, "The Jahad FAMILY thinks he's dead." which makes a lot more sense, because its not the princesses who sees him as a threat/someone to get rid of.
17:50 - its not so much for getting the weapon and the luck, in manhwa Rachel complains its not fair cause Bam got the help from Yuri and the weapon, and Headon tells her that is not whats important, but it is important to try at least, and unlike Rachel, Bam wasn't afraid to fight the monster and he bravely ran towards it "like a hero out of fairy tale".
well, it is mostly correct, but I would like to point out that he was indeed afraid, but according to Evans, his biggest fear (losing Rachel forever) was swallowing all his other fears.
There were interesting lines between Rachel & Hwaryun (the red-haired girl) on the manhwa. Hwaryun: "Why are you going such lengths to see the stars?" Rachel: "I'm afraid of the night." You know that Bam/Yoru means night. 😄😄😄
16:12 - Im not gonna go in details cause of spoilers, but remember Hansung Yu said now Jahad family believes that Bam is dead. Hansung Yu and Hwaryun (navigator) are working together.
Sooo does that mean that Bam is some top Jahad princess's abandoned kid, or even the king's XD. Assuming so because we know that a princess or all royalties aren't allowed to love and have a family just like Annak's situation.
@@inspektical2393 oooh you're almost to one of the main arcs in season 2. The arc coming up is one of the longest ones that can actually be divided into various mini arcs

Nice reaction and thoughts. Season 2 is where the story actually takes off and becomes a masterpiece. JVG hype 💯 Yess join the Rachel hate train. Believe it or not she's worse in the manwa. The anime toned her down by giving her more of an internal struggle, but she didn't care at all. She is a despicable person, but she's very much important to the story and Bam's character development. Without her, the story wouldn't exist and Bam wouldn't be driven to climb the tower. Nah he's still going after Rachel, but it's in search for answers to why she betrayed him. He doesn't care about reaching the top.
The climb begins I love this adaptation, they’re definitely going to need more episodes for season 2 cause a lot of shit goes down. The soundtrack in this is some of the best I’ve heard in a long time.
Its meh. I understand they even wanted to skip season 1, so I see why they cut so much world building and important dialogues. I'm just sad that they ruin a lof of character development, foreshadowing and building to just get into the start of the "main story" of the series.
Yeah, well, it could have been worse because they wanted to cut season 1 completely, which is fucking crazy due to the amount of world building, character development and build up.
Well, maybe it can't be seen right away the purpose of all this, so the thing is that when Hansung Yu says that the princesses believe that Bam is dead, he means that now Jahad Family will also believe that Bam is dead so it seems that one of the purposes was to hide Bam from Jahad Family.
Well, the world is a lot bigger in Tower of God in comparison to Attack on Titan once the truth comes out. I kinda lost interest in AoT when the whole island stuff was revealed, made it much less interesting to be honest. There's sooo much unexplored in ToG. Even if Baam reaches the current "top" of the tower, its only as far as Zahard has climbed. There's more up there and then a world outside the tower that is yet to be explored as well as other places in the Tazer Universe. To me, ToG is more like Hunter x Hunter in that regard of the unexplored Dark Continent.
Everything was planned since the beginning, and Rachel has a lot more hate towards Bam, for different reasons, that gets explained a later. Also i suggest you read the webtoon up to the end of season one, because there are a lot of differences that might help you understand some plot better. All ill tell you though, is season 2 is going to be lit.
Yeah she bears a lot of hate towards bam, that's why I don't think it makes sense she will hesitate to kill him unlike in the webtoon where she didn't hesitate makes more sense. The deal wasn't specified either, in the anime it was and it would make more sense in the anime if she doesn't hesitate because getting rid of bam and getting an advantage to go up while doing so is like hitting two birds in one stone for rachel so she has no reason to hesitate. I guess it was to make her more pitiable like when she was buying cheap apples in the anime but in the webtoon she was buying take outs which is more expensive and she was best seed so she gets extra points, she also apologized in the anime for abandoning bam but in the webtoon she didn't.
So, I've read some stuff from the author of the webtoon about Rachel. He intended her to be a 'normal' person with a desire, whereas Bam is a more 'typical protagonist' with hidden power and a destiny and all of that. He wanted people to be angry with her, but also wanted her to be more relatable to the audience than Bam is. He also feels like he hasn't been as successful at that has he had hoped. But yeah, I can kind of see it. Bam has just lucked his way into success. He doesn't even understand the power he has within him, it just kind of activates when he needs it to. And when that's not what's needed, he just so happened to gather a lot of smart and powerful allies around him by being mostly naive and friendly and kind of dumb. Basically blind luck that he found someone like Khun. And he doesn't even really have a goal. It was Rachel's dream to climb the Tower. His only goal so far was to find Rachel, and once he did only continued working to climb the tower because that's what everyone else wanted to do.
And this strange power was only in the anime. SIU never gave Bam this golden shinsoo. Only his skill to learn things in an instant is special. Also, Rachel is much more luckier than Bam.
I'm afraid you're wrong on most if not all of those points. First off, Bam didn't "lucked his way into success", the only reason why Yuri gave him the Black March is that she's aware that he's an Irregular who are individuals known for bringing chaos, destruction or some kind of change to the Tower and she is interested in what "change" he would bring. If Yuri met Rachel before Bam came then Rachel would've gotten the weapon because she too is an Irregular (although she is special even among Irregulars). Khun got interested in Bam because he was in the possession of a 13 Month Series weapon which led him to believe this guy could actually be very useful and help him in his goal of climbing to the top and I'm sure many of the Regulars would've thought the same so this isn't really "luck" either. And yes he actually had a goal (finding Rachel), it doesn't matter how simple or grand it may be. It's still a goal. Also, he doesn't have any power within him, that golden thing you saw Bam use in the adaptation is an anime-only plothole. Everybody can use Shinsu to some extent, he just has more access to it because Irregulars are not bound/chained by the Tower's rules. The only "power" Bam has is the one in which he can copy almost any technique he survives or is attacked. And please stop with the "typical protagonist with hidden power" cause if we're going by that thought, then Irregulars like Urek Mazino or Jahad are nothing more then characters with hidden powers as well since they also are Irregulars and OP as heck.
@@bloody5081 Not at all. It was shinsu reacting to his will, protecting him rather than him manipulating the shinsu which is VERY different. In the anime they describe it as if he became shinsu and made it seem like some flashy special power. The only gift he displayed was that shinsu reacts differently to him, as if it belong to him. It was only once, during the crown game when the shinsu cut Hwaryun's eye and hasn't really been displayed again. He used shinsu reverse flow technique against the bull and a regular bang shoot to defeat it, which would have made much more sense in the anime as well.

The only thing is the tower allows you to express what you really feel. Its the chance to gain you deepest desires and what you will do to gain it. Would you say Endorsi is a bad person as she kills, backstabs and betray people to achieve her goals Rachel was always a twisted person from the start, the second she saw Bam was her saviour she was like fuck this, what kind of joke is that. She always though herself superior to him and did what it took to make her the star not Bam The same with Bam he is a kind person from the start, thats why even after Ho tried to kill him and Rachel he wanted to show his final respects. None of this is the tower, its just you can get away with shit climbing the tower you normally couldnt
"All the Jahad Princesses believe that Bam is dead." That was the play; hide Bam's continued existence from the Jahad Family.
