Definitely the blue. I know that you will make sure that the colors pop, because you are so good with color! I really enjoyed seeing what you are working on and what you got from Hobby House. I envy you so much for being able to go there, but California is a little too far for me to travel from! Have fun with Maynia!! I am glad that your kitty girl is feeling better. (:
Just finally catching up to your video. So glad to hear you had a great trip and visit to Hobby House. What a haul ❤ ... thank you for sharing and allowing us to be a part of your community.
Really enjoying listening to you as i vaccum the restaurant tonight!! I've played your newer video and now this one. 🎉 I like that pretty purple blouse on you!
Hi Beth, enabling video, as always! So good to see the Bluebird of Happiness again, that is one of my (many) favorites. Can't wait to see all of the Arabesque starts as well. Thank you for filming and sharing all! Happy Stitching!
Thanks! I had such a great time at Hobby House Needlework, I only wished I lived closer. I'm excited about Sampler #Stitchmaynia and giving my samplers some much needed love. Thanks for watching!
So glad that you had a great time at Hobby House. You got some fantastic haul! Love the Dasher and Dancer chart. Wonderful stitching too. Happy stitching Beth 😊
I would DEFINITELY do the Quaint Quaker on the blue!! I will be doing a new start each weekend in May. I know 2 of them for sure, but still need to decide on the other 2.
The blue fabric is pretty, but I like the off-white fabric slightly better. Either fabric will work with the pattern's color pallette, though. It will be fun to see what you choose. I'm glad I found your channel!
The Tundra Blue is calling to you--go for it--it's lovely. I haven't stitched Florence Mary Dickinson either, but I do hope to. Thanks for sharing your projects.
Embrace the TUNDRA. It’s is calling to you for a reason and will look great for the Quaint Quaker. And I love the blue silk on white you are planning for Arabesque. 🪡🧵✂️💕
Hi Beth Love all of your WIPS - Making great progress on them. 123stitch has Ash Rose 25 Count Lugana Fabric - the Blues and the Whites - Creams would show up on the Ash Rose Lugana really well. I thought I would make that suggestion to you. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🦯🧵❤️
Love your Maynia plans. You have me thinking about what I might choose to do. It’s wonderful that you got to visit Hobby House and have so much help from the owner. I love xJu Designs linen, I think you will too…as well as the others. Can’t wait to see which linen you choose for the Quaint Rose Quaker sampler. Either one is a great choice, from your voice I think you want to choose the blue one.😊
I loved visiting Hobby House, wish I lived closer. I cannot wait to try out those new fabrics. It was so hard to decide on them they've got so many to choose from❤
Love everything. I'd do the Quaint Quaker on the light color just to not take away from the pattern. I love that pattern. I love it all! So glad your kitty is getting better.
Spring Quaker needs to be on the blue - at least on camera the colors seemed brighter to me. All 3 specialty stitches on Jeanette's piece are easy - they are all really satin stitches. The padded go one way then the other on top; the flowers will be follow the chart direction and do satin stitch; bargello is satin stitch in a pattern. I think you'll love all 3! I love your Lallybroch every time I see it!
I agree, I think I'm set on the Tudra for the Quaker spring pattern. The directions for the padded satin stitch and bargello stitch look pretty thorough, it's just new to me😊
Oh Beth, so glad you enjoyed your visit to Hobby House, and isn’t X2 Design Old Sheep fabric just scrumptious. That was the same fabric they recommended I get to stitch And God Saw by Teresa Kogut since they did not have the LFA linen called for… I do love both fabrics you’ve chosen for the Quaint Quaker, although my preference, if I was stitching it, would be the cream brûlée. In the end, you need to pick the fabric that you’re happy with, and it appears that you are really drawn to the blue fabric. I can’t wait to see what you eventually pick. Happy stitching!
Hi Norma! Oh, the xju fabric is so pretty, can't wait to work on it. Yes, I must admit I'm feeling very drawn to the Tundra blue fabric for the Quaint Quaker.❤️❤️. Thanks so much for watching, and happy stitching!
Beth, thank you for sharing all your treasures from Hobby House. I believe I would stitch on the tundra blue. It’s beautiful and would complement the pattern very well. Hope your kitty is on the mend and that you’re back is doing better.❤
In my opinion, tundra blue is much, much better than the neutral one for Quaint Quaker! I also want to stitch a lot on one sampler(G. Leger) in May and maybe try a 46 ct fabric for a very small sampler ( either MH 1860 or Ellen Carr Sampler). Wish you good luck for your ambitious plans!🥰
Great progress on your wips! I recently ordered the deer moon from OFE ...it was my first time getting anything from them and wasn't sure what to expect but I am SO happy with what I got and I really wish now that I ordered more than just 1 designs worth of stuff (I got the pattern, minder and specialty floss) cuz u r right the shipping is costly but their stuff is beautiful! I'm contemplating ordering thread packs for a few of the freebies and maybe one or 2 more designs...maybe as a bday gift for myself later in the year! Lol Beautiful haul!!! When u mentioned the store was in n.y I had to Google it...I'm about 3 hours from there but now my wheels r turnin! I'm a tangible shopper so I'd be in heaven getting to physically look at all the gorgeous fabrics! You picked such amazing stuff...that dasher and dancer sampler looks like it will be alot of fun! I think u should go outside the box and choose the blue fabric for that spring sampler w the cute lil 🐖...the floss stands out so well on it! Seeing all ur amazing stuff makes me want to break out everything I got and start it as well as buy a bunch of new patterns too 😂😂😂 happy maynia stitching! 🐈⬛🪡❤️
Ohhh, it would definitely be worth the trip to Hobby House! The store is gorgeous and I'm with you about wanting to see the fabrics in person. It was amazing!!❤️ I do love Owl Forest. They never disappoint. Thanks so much for watching and Happy Stitching 😊
@thesteadfaststitcher I mentioned it to my other half and now we r going to plan a weekend away... i smell a road trip!!! He wants to visit a bass pro shop, I'm dying to go to this shop, and all my son cares about is being at a hotel w a pool so it'll b a fun weekend! Hoping to do it this summer once school is out! 😎🪡❤️
I think not allowing photos at hobby house is ridiculous, while I understand the thought process, that is just bad for business. Thanks for sharing your stitching and have a great rest of april
I've recently had a medical scare with one of my older dogs; I know how scary that can be. Thankfully it sounds like all is well with your furbaby. Hobby House is probably the closest LNS to me these days - they're about 4 hours from me as is Stitch New England. I'm hoping to get a visit in to both.. I know I can entice my husband to Hobby House by promising him a visit to Dinosaur BBQ; I'm sure I can find something to lure him to Massachusetts as well. I love the colors for the Quaker on the Tundra; I think it makes them sing. I'll be curious to see how you do with the 46 count linen. Until a few months ago I had said I didn't think I could stitch on 40 count, and I do ok with it as long as my eyes aren't tired, like you mentioned. 46 count still sounds a bit intimidating to me though lol. I'm doing a Mira May.. I have four of them in progress (I thought it was three until I watched Denise at Black Ribbon Stitch Studio and remembered that I started Charlotte at the retreat last year lol). I'm hoping for a finish on Snapdragon which feels doable and I'd love to finish up Garden Verses also which may be a stretch if I'm going to also get 10 hours each in on my other two...🪡👠
Mira Maynia sounds great! Can't wait to see your next Flosstube! You do such beautiful stitching ❤️ Chloe is doing much better, thank you. I hope your older dog is doing well. Hobby House was terrific. I hope yo get back there someday. So far so good on the 46ct, I only put in a few stitches the other night to check if I could see it and doing okay with lots of magnification 😊
I love all your projects. I do have a question about your Owl Forest Dragon project. You said you were stitching it on a 25 ct fabric. Are you stitch one thread over one or two threads over two?
Tundra Blue was definitely the winner in the comments for the Quaint Quaker Spring pattern. Thanks!!❤ Cant wait to start it.
Definitely the blue. I know that you will make sure that the colors pop, because you are so good with color! I really enjoyed seeing what you are working on and what you got from Hobby House. Thanks so much!! I'll definitely have Bluebirds back out in June after sampler Stitchmaynia. Arabesque is gorgeous, hard to put down. 😍
Definitely go with the Tundra! I think the colors look more vibrant than on the neutral
I think the tundra blue is the perfect choice!
Thanks! I think I've decided on that for the Quaker.
I like the blue. Go for it
Great options await you for Stitch-Maynia. Have lots of fun. I sure enjoyed seeing all your haul. 😊

Nevermore is still a WIP for me! I'm going to pull it back out after seeing yours. I miss the puppy face, haha! I vote for the tundra fabric, btw. ❤
Oh I know, that puppy face in the fabric was a hoot! I'm enjoying Nevermore, surprised I don't have it out more often.
Thank you 😊
😊❤️😊
I like the tundra also…I have had Florence Mary kitted for a long time, she’s patiently waiting….❤❤❤
I'm excited to start Florence Mary Dickinson. It's so pretty! Definitely the blue for the Quaint Quaker❤️
Poor Chloe, so glad she is feeling better ❤
Love all your May plans. I keep waffling on what to do.
Thanks, Devi! I was worried about her. Maybe you could do a mix of stitching and other crafts for maynia :)
I really like theTundra Blue, but love the Creme Brulee more. Hope Chloe is feeling better.
Thank you, Chloe is doing better. I have plans for that Creme Brulee, it's such a nice fabric! Thanks for watching 😊
I would DEFINITELY do the Quaint Quaker on the blue!! I will be doing a new start each weekend in May. I know 2 of them for sure, but still need to decide on the other 2.
Hi there! It's definitely going to be the blue, I love it! That sounds like a fun plan for Stitchmaynia. See you in Oct ?😉

I kind of like that tundra blue! I think it will look like sky in the background of the house and that cute little pig😊
That little Quaker pig is so cute! I am definitely leaning towards the blue fabric.
