God this guy was talented.....the true King of rock and roll!
1965. I was 15. I was there. In the Studio Video Film in a place called La Sucrerie in Waterloo, Belgium. The VHS K7s didn't exist yet. I didn't know who I will see. But believe me, now I know who was Chuck Berry, the Father of the Rock & Roll. I met him, he gave me his picture with his signature and I had his guitar in hand. An incridible souvenir.
Fantastic, have you still got the picture. I was only 6yrs old then.
amazing!
The real king of rock and roll. Ya know!!
Never! Elvis!
Rock and roll pioneers!
Well, you know, you never can tell...
@@gilvanmafra255 Nah, Little Richard!
Fats domino
The original. Thank you, Chuck! You are missed by all living generations
Listen tiday and discover, he is Rock n Roll, spirit.
0:30 i always imagine the audience like 'ah yes yes beethoven, an excellent composer'
😂
I love how early rock audiences are unsure of whether to clap of the on-beat or off-beat.
Almost 70 years later...how fucking cool is this?! Love from Ireland Chuck x
wouldn't it have been 60?
What a fantastic entertainer and guitarist. That's Rock and Roll.
If you want to call rock n roll another name-call it Chuck Berry!!!
Without chuck ...there wouldn't be any "Rock- n- roll!! No that's a serious issue! 1953 to the end of time !! Thank Mr berry. For introducing the real deal ... Rock n roll!
It's great that this footage was preserved.
At the top of his game, when his guitar playing was spot-on and crisp.
Genius. Sure that Beethoven would appreciate it.
Beethoven I don't know but I see Chucks performance is fun
Chuck Berry was ahead of the time. It nice seeing the people that created what made rock music the way it is today. Basically these rifts are what made more complex ones to for example master of puppets.
Not near as complex as this
I remember growing up in the ghetto in Argentina, there not an adult or kid that didn't know how to swing. Such prescious memories of my childhood
Si bonita
Keep on dancing
🎸🕺💃❤❤❤🎼😇
THE REAL KING OF ROCK & ROLL.
May you rest in peace in Heaven, my dear. ❤❤❤🎸🕺💃🎼😇
Yes, he real one. Brilliant forever. Love always.
The inventor of Rock ‘N’ Roll
FANTASTIC performance...by a REAL musician. Like John Lennon said: If they had to give Rock n Roll another name, it should be called Chuck Berry !
Willy Noël De Moor - piano
Roger Van Haverbeke - bass
Willy Donni - rhythm guitar
Eddy Hunton - drums
6th February 1965, Waterloo Belgium.
Killer band❤
1965....I wasn't even born yet. It was the most glorious time of my life.
I was 21 and it was a great time in Southern California
The real king of rock
Never! Elvis!
I agree. Much more talented then Elvis.
Next to chuck berry Elvis looks like the jester
@@carterghhdjdjdjjdjdj1008 shortly after my comment the Elvis movie came out and I started watching a lot of old Elvis clips. Elvis in the late 60s was actually a different level. The 68 comeback special is maybe the coolest performance I’ve ever seen he had it all. Chuck Berry is the man though too. I can’t choose between the two now
@@jamesbaka1206 fair enough but I was just say
What a musical genius!! RIP Chuck Berry!!
The GREAT Chuck Berry.
HAIL HAIL ROCK AND ROLL
Epic performance by the one and only, Chuck Berry.
Great entertainment
Wow, he is so young in this clip! Very cool.
Wonderful. The King👏👏👏👏👍🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇧🇷.
CHUCK Was A GAME CHANGER.
Genius! There is just no other word for it…
Chuck Berry straight up Rock the house!
A rebeldia, os heróis da guitarra. Foi aí o início da loucura.
Part of what makes this such a great show is that he had a great Belgium jazz combo backing him up. Sound like he actually rehearsed with them before the show. If you listen to the live in Detroit show you can hear Chuck making mistakes and the performance is hurting. He had just gotten out of jail and played folk songs for the inmates. By 65 Chuck was coming back to claim his crown and took the time to make it work. Too bad he didn't stay with that mentality.
What a showman, he was! 🙂
The greatest! Hail, Hail, King Charles Berry! Many many thanks!!!
Legendary performance. Perhaps his best ever.
Wow what a legend
That was amazing 🤩
unbeatable! what a man that was...
El gran creador del rock and roll
Just when you thought rock couldn't get any better
I love this song ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤+❤ beyithzbabybelcebu i dedicated to my father
There's never been a better lyricist than this man. So clever, so witty.
I feel so silly. I have heard the name chuck berry but had no idea who he was. I'd heard his music in movies but it never crossed my mind that it could have been a black artist 🫨 I'm learning so much in this History of Rock and Roll class
And he is the God of rock and roll.
Chuck left us March 18, 2017 Roll over Chuck Berry
¡Viva Chuck Berry!
🇨🇱🙂
Nice to meet
we want a Chuck Berry guitar hero !!
Genial Chuck Berry
Fuking rocking as it gets! Nobody has ever come close to
THE CROWD LOOKS UNHAPPY
I love this song ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ beyithzbabybelcecebu
Need we say more to the King Chuck Berry of Rock and Creator... very nice to hear from you ❤❤❤
RIP e obrigado Chuck!

Ya know even Elvis once admitted when asked that Chuck Berry was the real king of rock'n'roll
The king !
Mr. Berry was an incredible performer. The Beatles were great admirers of Chuck Berry, and they did an amazing cover of this great song as a tribute to him. (Actually, I prefer the Beatles version).
King of Rock and Roll ⭐ POSEiDON🎉Still i got love fo Elvis, but man Chuck U REIGN:-)
Preciosa cancion
UA-cam was made for Chuck Berry
"I *caught* the rollin' arthritis sittin' down at a rhythm review"

And the jukebox blows a fuse
My heart's beating rhythm
And my soul keeps singing the blues
Roll over Beethoven
And tell Tchaikovsky the news
You got that right!!
Now i know where Jimmy Hendrix got inspired from!
Man...Mos Def is really great at guitar.
Exceptionnel
chuck berry is stil alive
Why am I enjoying this???
Chuck was great, but how about that rhythm guitar? Underrated part of the picture.
The Poet Laureate of Rock-'n'-Roll!
He is great
What I don’t get is why the (live)audience is so stiff back then…I’m rocking ’ off my chair here in 2024

I like ELO’s version the best but Chuck was the original. RIP!
The beatles is Cover?? 🎧🖤
Beethoven is rocking his socks of is my guess, when listening to this🙂
Wow
